This is my favorite taco truck in this area. The tacos are tasty and inexpensive. I recommend beef or carnitas ( when they have it), marinated pork is good too. My GF loves their chicken tacos so if that's your preference - go for it. They have a very tasty hit salsa and if you like it on the more spicy side don't forget to ask for jalapeños - the pickled jalapeños and carrots are part of the street taco experience. I have been to many taco trucks to try out their shrimp tacos. I do not eat diary so I order them without sour cream. These damn shrimp tacos are thee most flavorful tacos I've ever eaten in Stockton!! The sauce is immaculate and the shrimp is cook well and not rubbery. I don't eat meat but my husband does, so he likes taking me new places to try their version of shrimp tacos. Some places Ive tried have been inconsistent, they can have great flavors one visit and its off the next. This is my seventh visit here and I felt compelled to leave a review because the shrimp tacos are consistently flavorful and so damn delicious! This place takes a while (even if it's not busy) so take that into consideration if you visit. This little food truck was located near my hotel but I decided to try it. I was a little skeptical about how the food would be because it was located in a gas station parking lot. As I was sitting contemplating whether or not to eat there, I noticed multiple other people were pulling into the gas station to get nothing other than food from this truck. Ok, you hooked me food truck. I ordered the flauta americana, which were chicken and came topped with cheese, gauc, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream (I ordered mine without). There was also radish, a lemon, and a little thing of salsa on the side. I mixed all the toppings together and ate it with every bite of the flautas. The flauta were made fresh to order and came out hot and crunchy! The gauc had really good flavor and a freshness to it. The tomato and lettuce were fresh and crisp. The green salsa that came with it was really nicely seasoned. I didn't think it was spicy so I added some of the habanero hot sauce they had to kick it up a few notches! My bf got the torta cubana and he really liked it so I obviously had to try it. All I am going to say is I liked his even more than mine and I wish I got both! It was a very well-balanced torta with complex flavors! If I am ever driving through here again, I would definitely stop here to get more food. Just note: the only seating they have is 2 smaller foldable tables with metal chairs next to the truck. They do not have water cups. The truck is also a little loud. Lastly, it is a food truck so if it's cold outside I recommend taking the food home or back to the hotel. read more

Waivered on 3 or 4 stars. Clean looking Taco Truck right in the Chevron parking lot off I-5 and Hammer. I got two carnitas and one asada taco. Quick friendly service here and the tacos were tasty. I'd like the meat itself to be more flavor packed but the salsa, onions, and little grilled side chili made up for it nicely. Loved the grilled onions put off to the side. The asada could be a bit more tender too. I'll return soon to try the sopes and ceviche tostada and perhaps bump up it up to 4 stars. read more

If I had never returned to this truck after my first visit this rating would be 5 stars. Unfortunately, each of my next few visits would be more disappointing than the last. The first time I came here I got fresh, delicious food, great service, and was offered complimentary trimmings such as grilled onions and jalapenos. On my next two visits I ordered steak burritos. Nastiest taco truck I've been too. I tried once they messed up my order and the flavor was plain. Tried it again got an Assad's super burrito with shrimp added to it and what I got wasn't what I expected. They charged me $13 for this burrito. It was a good size burrito but had lettuce tomatoes and stuff a normal super burrito normally doesn't come with. I didn't get sour cream not cheese. I was super pissed because it was a $13 burrito and nothing to what I expected . Shrimp was flavorless . I Kept biting into soggy lettuce. I will not return here ever! My dog ended up getting the whole burrito. Plus they charged me .50 cents for a small side of hot sauce that fell right out the bag and they wouldn't replace it unless I paid for a new one. I had skip on the ceviche in the mixta because I'm pregnant but they substituted for more shrimp and octopus. The cocktail was really good, so happy to have a place close by where I can get some.
