This place is probably a hidden gem not too many people probably know about it outside of the people that live in the area. The restaurant is adorable the service is fabulous and the food is absolutely delicious. The first time we went I had tomato and mozzarella stack with grilled shrimp it was absolutely delicious and we had fabulous pasta dishes. The second time we dined we started out with the board of the appetizer and it was absolutely delicious for dinner we had the fettuccine alfredo with grilled shrimp and pasta primavera that was delicious. I travel to the Houston area a lot. By far, this is the best Italian restaurant I've eaten in the metro area. I did go at about 4:45 and got right in. They have a covered outdoor patio area. They offer curbside pickup when ch means cars are loitering with their engines on next to the patio fence, the restaurant hands them their food over the fence. That was a little odd. But not a big deal. They obviously do a lot of takeout!. I had their Italian grain bowl which was delicious! A little pesto, and spiralized zucchini with marinara sauce, quinoa, wild rice, and I added grill shrimp. The shrimp was amazing! And the rest was just as good. But the topper of the meal was tiramisu . It seriously is the best I've had anywhere except what my Italian grand mother made. Light and the sponge cake layers were perfectly and not over saturated with coffee. It wasn't pasty or creamy or sticky, it was fresh, light, perfect. This is my go-to spot for Italian. I usually get the spaghetti carbonara and I feel like I am in Italy. It is good! It is super greasy but it doesn't take away from the dish but something to be aware of for health restrictions. What delicious food and friendly atmosphere! I had the Fettuccine Del Mare but with Alfredo sauce. The pasta was definitely made in house and some of the best I've ever had. The Tomato Basil soup was very good and extremely rich in flavor. The tiramisu was ok but the gelato was great. I also had a blackberry mojito which was great. Best pizza in houston. I grew up close to little Italy in nyc and have not found a good italian restaurant until now. The pizza here is the best. We''ve been here almost every week since we first visited last month and love the pepperoni pizza. First time half our pizza fell on floor and they replaced it with no issues. It helped that 'Power' was the server for my first visit, and I'll continue to request sitting with him when he's working. My big brother has been waiting for ages for Taglia Fresh Italian to finally open up. He took our whole family here the week it opened. He kept saying their food is a must-try. Pros: The staff are nice and the Italian atmosphere is OK. All of the food is homemade, they have all of the popular Italian dishes and they also offer gelato. Cons: The location is not the best, so parking becomes a problem. Our waiter got my order wrong, I ordered no tomatoes on the side and he still plated them. Before that, he kept coming over to ask us exactly what each of us ordered. A table in the middle of the room was not a pleasant place for us to dine, especially when we had two babies with us. My pesto pasta was delicious, but VERY rich because they added cream to it for their recipe. Personally, pesto should NEVER be rich in flavor and texture. Very disappointing because pesto pasta is my favorite Italian dish. Pesto is my favorite sauce. If I had known that, I would've ordered chicken as my topping instead of meatballs. They were overly seasoned, which made my pasta even richer. My stomach started to hurt after just five bites. First of all our server Jackie was great. She immediately greeted us and let us know about all the restaurants specials and recommended their appetizer of manicotti bites. We ordered our drinks, an Italian margarita and a French 75, both delicious, made with fresh squeezed lemon juice. YUM! My wife had their version of chicken Marsala with a caesar salad and a side of fettuccine Alfredo. She raved about it throughout the meal. I was pleasantly surprised that here my dish was lightly breaded and the sauce was perfect. When asked if we would return, absolutely. UPDATE I need to add this to my review but, I had my first pizza here. The crust was outstanding, the sauce was perfect and plenty of mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, beef and mushrooms. The fig sauce that was used to glaze it made it really sweet like honey but to a lesser extent. Overall, this is a good dish and I would recommend it if someone wants a dish that is sweet in flavor and also would recommend to share it as one could get tired of it. Chicken Frances was okay. It had a good lemony taste. Once you bite it, you could taste the juices that came flowing from the chicken and also the egg that coated it then the lemon hits you.The pasta sauce itself felt like it was watered down after being opened from a can and it was pretty sour.
