I have only been one time and it was at lunch but I was seriously impressed. We had a party of 6 and everyone left full and happy. I had the red fish entree with risotto. It was wonderful. The fish was delicate and cooked correctly. The rissoto was rich and delicious and was even better re-heated the next day. I tasted my sister's marsala and it was wonderful, and we had a side of alfredo for the table (becasue we are pigs) and it was rich and delicious. Nephew had a peperoni pizza that looked crusy but I didn't taste it. They make their own pasta here. When you are seated they bring a basket of bread that is irresistable. It would be easy to spoil your dinner on the bread. Service was excellent and we asked for a lot of weird subs and things. Our server was on it. We shared tiramisu and key lime pie for dessert. The lady fingers were a little too damp but the mascarpone was perfect. Unlike a lot of Italian restaurants, you didn't just get garlic garlic garlic. There are many things on the menu I am eager to try. And I don't have to go inside the loop. It feels very eleavated for the area. We will be back and soon. read more

Full of family-owned charm, Taglia has quickly become my boyfriend's and my new go-to spot. The food is incredibly fresh, with homemade noodles, rich and flavorful sauces, and fantastic appetizers. They also offer monthly specialty menus, usually built around a theme, which introduce creative new dishes to try each visit. So far we've had the Vodka Penne (absolutely amazing), Mac & Cheese Balls (delicious), Lasagna Egg Rolls (pictured), and the Fettuccine Alfredo--every single dish has been a 10/10. I really enjoyed the takeout of Angel Hair Bolognese I ordered. It was very delicious, meaty, full of very fresh n tender noodles and just the right amount of cheese too. This is one of my go-to here along with the pesto pasta. I love a good vodka pasta and should definitely consider trying it with the angel hair to really bring out the taste. The food here was pretty good and the portions are good as well so I was able to finish everything and still have a full stomach. The service was great too we got checked up on regularly so that was awesome. The overall environment was nice too and the reviews saying that it was "too bright" made no sense because I thought it was a good amount of brightness in there and nothing too overwhelming. After my recent visit my appeal to candor and adore Taglia has faded. Arrived at 7:50 - UNAWARE they close at 8 (strange for suburbia). Was rushed to order, told there was no bread - which is a large reason I came, the BEST bread, and got to enjoy the staff cleaning and rushing us out the door, then was asked if we could our food boxed up and walk out the side entrance because the main door was locked. First, the good: The fresh rolls were they tastiest part of the meal. They were fluffy and so soft, especially right out of the oven. You can ask for olive oil to dip them in as well. The spaghetti with marinara sauce that came with the chicken piccata and chicken parmesan was good, with the noodles having a distinctive chewiness to them. The appetizers and other pasta dishes were decent. The not so good: The chicken piccata was very salty, and the bruschetta was a bit burnt. The strawberry Nutella pizza crust was also really hard. Yesterday, we tried Taglia while visiting in Pearland for the first time. I absolutely loved the vibe and decor of this place! So well done. We were greeted and seated immediately, and the service was excellent from start to finish! Our food was very good, and I appreciated the value of the lunch menu. Great variety as well. Everything was served in a timely manner. (We were on a time constraint) My only complaint was my pizza was just a tad bit overcooked on the bottom and a bit dry. (And I do like my pizza well done) But not enough to spend time sending back. Everyone in our party of 5 enjoyed their food! The complimentary bread & marinara they serve is very nice, but just a bit bland. (Tip- don't ever complain about free food!!) But all in all, this is a really great place and I would recommend it. Brunch! We had intended to have brunch at the other end of the strip center, but the wait was almost an hour. The hostess there said Taglia also served brunch, so we went there instead. The short rib eggs Benedict is a must. The hollandaise sauce is the best I've had. Lasagna egg rolls were great as well. The service was good. They definitely need a sign out front advertising the brunch. This place should be packed. We will definitely be coming back to try the dinner menu. Great job! read more

Once upon a time many moons ago this was the Neighborhood Italian spot hands down. Now, it is the place to avoid. Compacted menu, quality of food terrible, pricey, just not that place any more. Not sure if the executive chef left, or new ownership but it is obvious something is up. They ditched their best dish - chicken cannoli, changed their lasagna, and ruined their sugarosa sauce. Very solid local Italian place in Pearland. I have been a handful of times and every time I have gone the food has been very good. Service has always been pretty good as well and most of the weight staff seems to be very friendly and helpful. As far as the ambience goes, I would say that it is pretty nice inside and up to par with a standard family Italian restaurant. Outside of being in a strip center. This is a fantastic place for Italian food. We were seated quickly and the server, Anissa, was friendly and helpful. There was a family celebration going on that made the restaurant sound like someone's home dining room, quite noisy. Loved it! I had the frozen Italian margarita (thanks Anissa for talking me out of the basil one - This was quite delicious; a note to remember - stir first or your first sip is straight tequila). I had pasta allá vodka and hubby had Campanella allá penne. Both were so good and the fresh pasta sent the taste over the top. We had the cannoli for dessert, which was also yummy. I feel like this restaurant is only town famous because of how long they've been around service wise I wasn't too happy because I server was actively watching TV while not attending to us right in front of and management didn't do a thing to correct him and it wasn't like my server was a dumb teenager It was a grown man. And to be honest, there are other Italian restaurants nearby that could cook a pizza better than this because the middle was kind of soggy and the overall texture of the pizza was off. Stop by during lunch. It's located at the end corner of a plaza. Easy to miss with only one way in and out. Calamari - It was bland and super chewy. Probably one of the worst we have ever had. Pasta La Rosa - this was also not flavorful and lack taste. The noodles tasted slight chewy and wheat? Not sure. The Alfredo/Marinara sauce was a miss for me. We visited Taglia during a holiday weekend. The restaurant has plenty of parking and is easy to find. The inside is very clean and spacious. Originally we were going to take our food to go, but decided to dine in. The host was very efficient and sat us promptly. The waitstaff was working together and made sure that we had everything we need. They have made quite a few changes to their menu and the quality is excellent. Not many places attempt canneloni but their spin on it is well done( at a reasonable price). I have always loved that their pasta is made fresh and it shows. Also doing a monthly special menu now which is appealing. Service was great and timely. Owner often walks around their restaurants to check in with patrons. Full bar is available as well. Will definitely return soon. read more
