We entered the restaurant at 5:30 pm on a Saturday and were told they could not serve us because they ran out of food. Huh? Ran out of food at 5:30 pm on a Saturday, a prime business hour??? The food at this restaurant was excellent! I especially enjoyed the rice. The one complaint that I had was that our waitress was extremely green and was not very helpful in guiding us in how to order for our group of 8. I can imagine the chef would have been a bit better, who was extremely welcoming. Another weird thing though was that we walked up at noon for our reservation (they open at 11:30) and the doors were locked, which seemed a bit off. I can imagine that they might have forgot to open the door, but I can see how that may lose some business. The meats and rice are delicious! No complains on the food, at all. I heard from one of our common friend about this place so I thought I will check it out. We went there late afternoon which was worked in our favor since we got the owner to pretty much to our self. He not only explained the food cuisine, the culture and the authenticity of the food but also made special sauce and food for my vegan husband. We started the meal with Persian tea, and bread that came with special vegan sauce for husband and yogurt sauce which was for me. For meal I order Cornish hen, and my hubby ordered eggplant dish on owners recommendation which was very rich and good. The Cornish hen was marinated and cooked right since it was very juicy. The owner mentioned he does most of his grocery shopping from whole food for this place which is great since that tells me he cares what he serves to his customers. I ended my meal with pistachio ice cream it was so authentic and delicious. I brought some ice cream back with me that's how much I liked it... Loved the food, and the decor. This restaurant is just west of the theaters at Sierra Vista Mall. It is a lovely place with outdoor seating. The food was wonderful. They fresh make the pita bread and it comes hot with a plate of feta, cilantro, mint, and radishes that are complimentary. That comes with some yogurt dip and a pomegranate dip. My friend had the fresh herb stew and it was yummy. I had the chicken kebab. The rice is kind of unique. They use saffron and yogurt and make a sort of crust on one side and it is super good. I ordered the eggplant dip and that I didn't care for. But the dish was beautifully presented. This is a cultural culinary treat. I highly recommend. read more

Had the family style special $25. The rice was tasty with the salad. Chicken was dry but the ground lulu/beef kebab was great.

Authentic, delicious Persian food. We ordered almost everything on the menu and it was phenomenal!! The staff was attentive and had excellent customer service. We were driving from Southern California to the Bay Area home, looked this place up and decided to check it out. As we were coming I wanted to go back to my route hwy 99 but I said to my partner let just go and try it. WE ARE GLAD WE DID THAT, Very very friendly, Clean and the most important the food, Oh boy it's was so different than other restaurant but with the taste of 55 years ago when I grew up in Iran. Best Persian food I have ever had. Not only is the food on a class of its own but it comes at a great price. Other Persian restaurants charge way more for lower quality. This place also adds some really nice twists on the best of Persian food. Each dish comes with the signature "tag deeg" -- the crispy rice surrounding the rice. The also have a very unique and delicious dipping sauce that comes with the bread -- something I've never had elsewhere. Also, they offer some classic dishes which can be made vegetarian friendly... another differentiating plus in my opinion. All and all, this offers the best of Persian cuisine and will keep me coming back for more. read more

We are so blessed in Clovis to have a new Persian restaurant in town. Terrible location if you are going for dinner, as it is right next to the Sierra Vista Cinemas so parking is atrocious, but try it anyway. You'll be pleased with the service and the food. There is a dip made from tahini and pomegranate and ? that is such a good accompaniment to their flat bread (like pita pockets). We also tried another dip with eggplant and yogurt which was so fresh tasting and refreshing. My koobideh (like lula kabob) was so moist and tender with a beautiful combinations of spices and accompanied with a yogurt garlic sauce and their tah deeg. The tah deeg is like a gift from heaven: long grain rice flavored with saffron and "topped" with the bottom of the rice pot so it's crispy and nutty-flavored. My son tried the lamb shank with also came with a side of fava beans mixed with rice and dill, another super refreshing side dish. We were so very pleased that we topped it off with 3 scoops of their saffron flavored ice cream - creamy, smooth and delicious. read more

Took my two boys here after laser tag. The service was hands down attentive. They didn't have ice tea but immediately brewed some for me and kept it coming. What place does that now a days. The bread was amazing and it was hot and made right then. Youngest had the soup and he ate it all. My other son had the chicken and I had the chicken/beef/lamb plate so I can share with the younger one with his soup. To say the least we left with empty plates. The rice is crunchy and soft and great. Would recommend to anyone and will be going back with the wife soon. read more
