Everything in there just marries each other. The flavors were on point, meat tender and veggies nicely sautéd. The rice on the side was a generous amount and not overly greasy. It was a nice paring with my wrap. My husband got the Lahmajoon and really liked it, I got the tried it as well and it was yummy. The meat is minced down. The pita bread warm and toasted. Amir's is located in the Pavilion Shopping Center, right next to the Frosted Cakery, and has been opened since 2002. I ordered our dinner for pickup and noticed that the decor here is a little dated, but very cozy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have a nice shaded outdoor patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My wife and I got the steak kabob plates and my kiddos shared a chicken plate. We also got a side salad along with a hummus appetizer. The plates are lacking in the protein department. Our steak skewers only came with two pieces of steak per-skewer. They covered the plates with sauteed veggies to kind of hide that. Even lacking protein everything was well seasoned. The pilaf was a little overcooked, but I prefer that to dry pilaf. The hummus portion was huge and the owner, who helped me, was super sweet and offered me a free to-go box of fried pita chips for hummus dipping. My kids loved these! My kiddos also really liked the chicken and rice as well. We got here at 7:45 on a Saturday night and it was empty. Hopefully Amir gets a lot of weekday lunch traffic...but still, he greeted us with a friendly smile when we walked in. We were last here 5 years ago and it seemed like nothing had changed. Food was just as good as we remembered. We ordered Amir's combo with beef, chicken and lula kebabs (the chicken was the best, being so moist), a chicken pita (same moist chicken as the kebab!) and a lamb shish plate (admittedly, a little chewy). We topped things off with baba ganoush, which was complemented with both lavosh and crispy pita (both were a bit in the dry side and slightly stale - perhaps due to the slow weekend business).
