I go to Firudo quite often and as long as you know what to expect, you won't be disappointed…read more The main draw of Firudo is the "all you can eat" sushi for 26.95 (plus an added fee if paying by card). I gotta say, it's one of the best deals in the 315. Does Firudo serve the best sushi I've ever had? No, not even close but it's definitely good enough for the price you're paying. The AYCE also comes with a couple caveats. You're limited to 10 pieces of sashimi and 10 pieces of sushi- you can get as many maki/hand rolls as you'd like. So keep that in mind. I've never had a wait at Firudo and the staff is attentive. It's very clearly a family run business, which I appreciate. As long as you don't go expecting Jiro dreams of sushi, I think you'll have a great meal.

I feel like the place is never terrible, but also never amazing. The water tastes a bit chemically (like water with a bit of the cleaner in it) and the soda also never tastes great. I would say to go when you're not in a rush cause the service is also hit or miss. The last time they barely checked in on the table for refills or if we wanted to order more. I will say, I get the Syracuse roll and the Salmon Lover roll almost every time and they're always decent for me. The fried rice has always been fine too. My fiancé always gets the chicken katsu and enjoys it. If you go in with low expectations, then it will probably be better than expected!

This is a nice spot on Genesee St if you're looking for something different than pizza, Phoebe's,…read moreor other quicker food options up on the Hill. I'm not a bubble tea fan, so I can't speak to that, but I do quite enjoy their ramen bowls and have had them on multiple occasions. The standout for me is the miso base with chicken. The broth is piping hot, the green onion flavor is awesome, and it's a chock full of ingredients. The interior is unique with big, open windows and some funky booths. My main complaint here is that service tends to be a bit slow. I'd recommend ordering ahead of time and then eating there once you pick it up or just doing take out. Ordering through the counter can take awhile, even if it's quiet in there. Happy to continue to support them!

Okay, so I'm totally going against the grain here as I found nothing exceptional or overly exciting…read moreabout this restaurant. My son found it and wanted to give it a try, so we did. The place was totally empty when we walked in and outside of 1 Uber Eats order we were it 4:30 PN. But, it still took 15 minutes for two bowls of ramen and one rice bowl to be ready. Our meals were good but not worth the drive from Marcellus. I've had worse and I've had better bowls of ramen. The stock was good but it was lacking any real depth of flavor and seemed to be singular in tone and lacked any real silky rich mouth feel. Nothing that would warrant a wave off, but nothing significant enough for a book mark. We all like what we like, but for me this was an average experience.

Yaki man doo - beef 10/10 Cooked perfectly. Light and crispy and the beef inside was so flavorful and delicious. Probably one of the best dumplings I've ever had! Highly recommend. Super shrimp roll w spicy mayo 9/10 Wow! This roll is huge! Little bit difficult to eat. I added spicy mayo too, also recommend! Chicken wings 10/10 Breading is great! sauce comes on the side. It's like a sweet and spicy, but a little mild/medium spice level. Really good! I did try a rice cake, but not a fan of the gummy texture. The spice level was definitely hot too. Too spicy for me!

It comes to your table sizzling, then you dress it with as much gochujang pepper/sesame oil sauce as you like (it traditionally comes with a bottle of sauce so you can add to yoir taste), and mix it all up. The hot pot makes the bottom of the rice nice and crispy. I get mine with tofu instead of beef and the portion is very generous. It comes with 3 banchan (Korean small side dishes) and miso soup. My only wish/suggestion for improvement is that they should offer more variety in their banchan. Service is fast but I'm usually here outside peak hours. Ambiance is simple but always clean. My dinner bill with a beer and a hot tea came to $26 which is a good value imo (my leftover filled a to-go container).
