Worst place I've been too. We had to wait 40 minutes for just one order of sushi and an hour for our next roll of sushi. They kept giving the excuse they are busy but the restaurant was not that busy. They are clearly understaffed and I highly recommend not going here. Sushi wasn't even that great. Go to Mikuni instead. They are always busy have good, fast service and fresh food ALL the time. DO NOT go to TAIKO!!! read more

Quite possibly the best sushi I've had. Very reasonable prices for the amount you get and quality of the sushi! Tasted fresh and was very filling! My 2 friends and I got $60 worth (8 different rolls) while there on vacation. Each one was absolutely delicious! Definitely saving this location for when I'm back in the area! read more

I have eaten at this restaurant many times and the quality of the food is incredible but the last 2 times I have driven half way across town only to be turned down by the same cashier because I was "too late." The first time I arrived at 832pm and was told the kitchen closed at 830pm and was sent on my way. I was disappointed but accepted it. This time I arrived at 822pm and was turned down by the same green haired female cashier but this time was told they don't take orders after 820pm. It seems like she is just making up the rules as she goes. I'm sure her manager wouldn't appreciate her turning down business in the middle of this pandemic. It's too bad because I have been a regular here but with customer service like that, I guess I will take my business somewhere else. read more

Decided to go on our way home, as it is down the street from us. By first glance you wouldn't know this place is even there, the complex doesn't have any signage as to what's actually in there unfortunately. The inside looks really industrial and kinda cold to be honest. The complex owner must not be the best because we've seen many restaurants open and close fairly quickly here. We went around 12:30 PM on a Wednesday and we were literally the only ones in there. The restaurant owner was really nice, polite and didn't miss a step with accommodating us, not surprising being we were the only ones. My husband and I ordered a roll and we each decided on our own poke bowls. I will say the quality of fish tasted and looked fresh, and the overall selection choices are common among poke places. The roll wasn't constructed very tightly and fell apart easily but tasted ok, the bowls were definitely better. We will probably be back and hopefully they will still be there....can't be so sure because even our favorite gelato place closed in the same complex just as of last month . read more

What a culinary experience! Yundi the Sushi Chef is amazing. We asked him to use his artistic impression. He 100% impressed us! The sauces he created with each small dish of super fresh sushi was incredibly spectacular. At one point I even told Yundi he should compete on Iron Chef. read more

first time trying this place the night before thanksgiving it was delicious and the atmosphere was nice with great bars and table sittings!!! sushi was very delicious and bento boxes and poke was wonderful... service was pretty great with the chef running in and out take orders and running the food by himself... nice guy too in a way we felt bad for him but he explain to us that the waitress called in sick so he had to cook and take orders which impress me and my family never seen or been at any restaurant where a chef can multitask like that... wonderful and friendly place definitely coming back read more

However it took about an hour and a half for to get their FIRST dish because the bald "chief" was too busy drinking and chatting it up with a couple at the bar. Excellent tasting experience at the bar. The chef was very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. I had a sampling of several different fish. We have eaten here twice. Both times the food was good and the person creating the dishes was friendly, informative and fun.

Please hire more people! Bottom line, I won't beat around the bush, the food here is good, but that's all they have going for them. The service is awful. AWFUL! Friendly staff, don't get me wrong, but they took forever to seat, serve, and follow up with us. We saw two different patrons leave while dining here because the waitress and other staff were so slow (seated with water, but zero follow-up). We also saw another table looking around, in a very obvious manner, for the waitress to take their order. Finally, the guy got up and actually asked the waitress to come to their table so they could place their order. I don't even understand how the manager could let things like this happen. This place did get fairly pack, so clearly, there's a demand, but if they don't hire more people I don't see how patrons will return. Our waitress got two of our poke orders wrong (and we fill out our own sheet so I'm not even sure how that happened). Our kids' meal didn't arrive until we were almost finished with our dinner. My sushi roll didn't arrive until after we asked for its whereabouts (about 10 mins after being served our poke). We asked for napkins 3 times before we ended up asking another person behind the counter for some - mind you, we had already gotten our food too. It was bad, hands down some of the worst service ever. I really don't even like writing such a negative review, but there's already such a limited number of good restaurants in the Carmichael area and I'd hate to see another one bite the dust. But to try and end on a somewhat positive note - the food is good! Not sure it's worth the hassle, but it was a tasty meal. read more

I do not recommend this place and the reason that this is my third time bringing my family here and every time I do the food always take so long especially our sushi we ordered.... It's seems like the sushi chef either care for his patrons at the bar more than his customers at the table. The first time it's seem like we got there first but somehow the customer that came in after us and sat at the bar got there sushi first.
