Man, this is one of our favorite places to go. The service is always really good, the draft beers are always good, the food hasn't changed price in forever and it's always amazing. Man, I love this place...it saddens me that my travels only allow me to visit a few times a year but this is my local GO TO place for crawfish, mmmmm, lip smacken good. Tailgator's does mud-bugs right. They don't dump heavy spices on after the fact, they know the secret, it's in the boil and they are consistent in the quality of their boiled delights. You know they have the recipe right when that little drop of perspiration forms on the end of your nose as you eat and you have to wash your hands 10 times before evacuating any used beer prior to departure. This is our to-go place to eat. Not to drink but to eat. They have good fish dishes, quick service etc. Wings on Tue is now $15/21 wings. Okay $5 price change. To-go price is the same, which is great. However They only gave us 20 wings, HONEY BBQ wings barely had sauce around them. Downgraded for sure..... Wings has been our favorite so we are very disappointed. We let the restaurant know but no replies. *No replies from managers. read more

The 3 stars is only that the draft beer was luke warm. This is the 2nd time in the last few weeks we've been here and the beer was the same temperature both times. Manager just said that's how the taps are set up. Never had an issue before, as we've been coming here since they've opened. But the food and service are definitely 5 stars. Three suggestions to the management. First, kill the loud music, this is not a disco. It's loud in here and we all have to yell to communicate. We want to talk to each other at dinner. Second, kill the stupid video golf machines and put in some benches for people waiting for tables. You have inside seating for two (2) currently. Unacceptable. Third, your fish in the fish and chips is a dry, over cooked hockey puck. I haven't used that much malt vinegar in a long time. Either fix it or drop it. I have been to this location and the former 242 location many times since they opened. The food is always good and service isn't bad either. It's great for sports if you don't mind a noisy, boisterous scene. Today for lunch I ordered the Tailgators Pub Club, 86 the mustard and onion, with waffle fries. I had to send it back after I took my pic for this app bc it had onions. (Now worried about a South Park I just saw!) I waited tables and bartended for many years so I know it happens. The fries were hot and the sandwich is delicious. I recommend this place for the food and the atmosphere. read more

I really want to like this place because it has a fun local vibe but I can't give it more than 2 stars. I stopped in the first week of February and I was disappointed now for my third visit. I called ahead and was told the crawfish were $5.99 per lb. Yes I got that correct! They were the only restaurant phone number on my phone. I was told they were small to medium. Upon entering I could see other patrons with mostly small crawfish struggling to get any crawfish meat out of the tails. The host was pleasant but told me they were $7.99 lb to go. Hell no!!! Quoted no charge to go and I'm not paying $7.99 a pound for tiny babies. My last visit I had small babies and they were so immature or frozen that they were mushy. My first visit was for the chicken fried steak which sadly was way over salted to the point of just about inedible. The white gravy was good but over salted also just not so severely. The mashed potatoes were a-ok for a bar/restaurant but really lacking in real quality milk and butter added. The broccoli was the best item on the plate. Yea for something good! This place stays busy with the drinking crowd and I think they must do a good job with that. The food has so much more potential but sadly they are missing the mark. This place stays busy regardless of the mediocre food. Actually I got a pretty good fish and chip sandwich at one of their other locations to go. Parking lot gets packed at prime dinner time but empties quickly. Worth a try for a fun local atmosphere drinking hole. Waitresses seem to stay busy with patrons and their cell phones but are friendly. Please quote correct pricing on the phone BTW! This review was from my latest February experience. Service here isn't family friendly. Basically if your not coming with kids you should be ok but if you bring a family they will most likely not serve you well. If your able to get seated then you might get lucky and they might bring you food. We have tried this place several times and it's always something.
