    House made Key Lime Pie.
    Lisa A.

We visited the Fl Keys last year and spent a week trying to find the best Key Lime pie. This pie in the photo beats them all. Crust is light and the Key lime is tangy and tasty. I had the spinach and mushroom quiche which also came with a nice bowl of fresh fruit. My husband had the meatloaf, which is also served with mashed potatoes and green beans again all house made and it was perfect. Gabby was our server and has a winning smile. Family owned, proud and eager to give you an excellent experience.

We started with strawberry and pomegranate margaritas. They were good. Strawberry was very sweet. The food was very good also. We had sandwiches. Mahi mahi , turkey Blt and a turkey sandwich. They allow several substitutes instead of chips. We requested a side salad , sweet potato fries and fruit. All were good as well. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

This is hidden spot off Main Street so I decided to try it out. The waitress staff were really cool and down to earth. We sat outside the weather was real nice! Their outdoor seating is close quarters to other guest but people around you are nice. The appetizer ordered was the Smoked Salmon Dip, it was decent it was WAYYYYY too much cream cheese. The stuffed jalapeños were a treat though so I'd recommend them. The lamb burger was .... Ok... lacked so much of flavor. I would try to give them another try though..

Curry chicken salad sandwich and chips

Came here Saturday for lunch with my husband. He was really excited to try it as we always see it when walking to Fire Ant. When we got there around noon, they were slammed as expected being Saturday. We waited a few minutes for a table which was fine. When we were seated we were given one menu for us both to share. This is usually fine, but since it was our first time we both kinda wanted to look for a while so it was annoying to share. Our waitress took our orders- we started with fried okra, then I got the curry chicken salad with chips and my husband got the chicken fried steak with potatoes and a side salad. The whole reason we went was for the chicken fried steak, so he was pumped. The fried okra arrived after a while and we had to ask for silverware as we were never given any. Then I had to ask for ketchup because the sauce with the okra was weird. Then about 20 minutes later, I got my chicken salad and they told me husband his would be out soon. About 15 minutes later his chicken fried steak came. It was super small and was served with like a spoonful of mashed potatoes. He said it tasted like a frozen meal from a grocery store. Definitely not fresh. He barely ate his chicken fried steak because it was so gross. He then released he never got his salad and was still holding out some kind of hope for something good to eat. The waitress came up 10 minutes later and said the kitchen didn't have time to make his salad... A salad... No cooking required. She then said they would discount our meal since he never got the salad. They took $2.00 off our tab. This was the weirdest meal I have had in a long, long time...

This was a really cute place in the Tomball area. We had fast service and very friendly waitstaff. We had Emily as our server and she was very quick and always checking in on us. We stopped in after shopping on Main Street. You won't be disappointed in your dining experience here. The food was good and the had big portions. To go box needed

The woman standing at the door who verbally attacked me.

On July 6th I rsvp'd to a private event at this restaurant, that evening also happened to be the Tomball Sip and Stroll. The event organizers left my name off the list so we were not allowed to enter the building. We stayed to eat and support the business since the private event was turning people away. When my minor child got up to use the bathroom, he was denied access to the building. We had already verified there were bathrooms available for patrons. The woman at the door told my son to wait for the guard. The guard did not return during this entire conversation. Frustrated, my husband opened the door and told our son to go use the bathroom. Our son told us he saw the guard sitting down inside with no intention of moving. During the conversation with the woman at the door, not an employee of the restaurant, she began verbally attacking me. Making rude comments about my looks and ultimately telling me to F*ck Off. You can imagine my shock. When I called the restaurant to discuss what happened the staff was so surprised and shocked and apologized profusely. When the manager on shift called me back, the entire vibe had changed. The manager tried to deflect by saying they were not associated with the group holding the private event. The manager did not want to hear what was said to me, but I told her anyway. She wasn't rude, just deflected and didn't want to take any responsibility for the incident. If I'm a restaurant owner or manager I am very concerned about someone who is standing outside my doors interacting with paying customers. At that point they are representing your establishment. If not then you probably need to have an employee out there who will treat your customers with respect instead of slinging verbal abuse at them. Our server was absolutely wonderful and apologetic. Our food was very good. We will not be visiting this establishment again. I don't need that kind of abuse.

Cool little spot, very country vibe minus the prices. A bit overpriced for what it is. The service was good, she got our food and drinks out pretty quick. The queso is pretty thick. Pork tacos were pretty tasty as well. Very small menu and easy to choose from. I wouldn't suggest any of the cocktails. Both of ours didn't taste good at all. It's a place to stop in if your hungry but I would probably pass on a second visit.

My wife and I love supporting local business and Market Street Cafe is one of the best in the Tomball Area. Great owners, the staff is amazing and love the food. My favorite item on the menu is the Boudin Burger, all the elements fit so well together. I also love that they carry my favorite Vodka (Crystal Head) so I can enjoy a nice drink when I visit. I love the family vibe, it's warm and inviting unlike some of the other establishments in the area. They treat their customers right and stand by there word, highly recommend visiting if you haven't already. We have been fans since they opened and will continue to stop by and support.

I had not been to Goodson's in years--well over a decade at least. So when both my wife and…read moremother-in-law suggested we stop in for lunch, I didn't hesitate. We started with the Fried Green Tomatoes. They were good, but not quite enough to dethrone our longtime appetizer champion: Pecos' fried pickle chips. The prices were reasonable, so I decided to go full-bore and order the "Cowboy" Chicken Fried Steak, which was only a few dollars more than the "Cowgirl" version. Mom chose the Chicken Fried Chicken, while my wife went with the Pot Roast. When our food arrived, I was genuinely taken aback. My chicken fried steak was larger than the plate it was served on--seriously, it was that big. The side dishes were equally generous. After bringing the leftovers home, I managed to get two more meals and a sandwich out of that steak. Likewise, both of my ladies left with take-home boxes, and that NEVER happens with Mom. She typically treats these lunch outings as her main meal of the day, but even she waved the white flag. So why not a five-star review? The answer comes down to flavor. While the portions were enormous, the service was excellent, and the prices were more than fair, the seasoning seemed a little timid. Across the board, the food could have used a bit more punch and personality. Nothing was bad--it just never quite crossed into memorable territory. That said, I would absolutely recommend Goodson's, especially if you have family or friends visiting from out of state. It showcases two classic Texas traits: HUGE portions and good value. As for the mild seasoning? If your guests are from up North, they'll probably feel right at home.

We had actually started going to the original building before it burned down. I do think there is quite a change in the food from the original to the newer. But still very very good. This trip three was on the way to camping at the Texas Renaissance Festival. We wanted to get a quick meal in before we went off the grid. We ended up splitting a large chicken fried steak. As you can see from the pictures, large doesn't even do it justice. It covers a whole giant oval plate, and the sides are served in bowls on top of the steak as if it were a platter itself. This thing is massive, and can feed a family of four, or two. Really hungry adults. Their biscuits are also fantastic. Highly recommend some of those to go. The mac and cheese is pretty standard. The other side that we had this time was their daily special sweet potato crumble. It was very tasty! This place was pretty packed on a Friday afternoon, so I imagine peak times are equally or more so. There's a small lot in the front and more parking in the rear. The service was pretty quick, so I appreciated that. The staff was very knowledgeable on the food, and provide great suggestions. We didn't get any dessert this time, but it did look pretty good. Something to think about if you're coming through Tomball.

I know. "Fine dining" and burgers? But that's what I wanted. I searched the web and found the Chefs Table in Vintage Park, and it wasn't too far from us here in The Woodlands, so we decided to make reservations and head there. From the moment we entered, we were treated like special guests. The ambiance is rich, but not overdone or stuffy. Simply classic and relaxing. Our booth felt private and unhindered by conversations of nearby diners or wait staff bustling past. Our cocktails were perfect. The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! I rarely if ever eat fried food - so clearly this was my big day to completely go off my standard fare, but those fries had the perfect crunch and flavor. Apparently, when my husband made our resv, he told them it was my birthday, so our server brought out a delightful complimentary spiced cake dessert after we were finished eating - for us to share. It was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Thank you to the entire staff at The Chefs Table yesterday, for helping to create a memorable and delicious birthday feast for my husband and me. We will definitely be back to try some other delights because the menu is packed full of amazing looking dishes.

I re-asked several different ways and finally got what I was looking for! We waited about 5 minutes. We ordered a drink at the bar and then got sat. Once sat, our waitress acknowledged us about 3-5 minutes later. We ordered 2 waters, a coke and cheese sticks. The coke came first. The cheese sticks about 5 minutes later, then the water about 10 minutes later. Our waitress stopped by before the water got there to see if we were ready to order. We didn't even have water yet! The place was pretty busy. Our waitress just struggled to keep up with her tables. There was another waitress who was more experienced that jumped in and helped us. We finally were able to order our dinner. The cook, or someone, came out to tell us they were out of the cut of meat we ordered. This was a disappointment because we were here to celebrate my other half's birthday. So it wasn't off to a great start. We picked something else and by the time we got our food, it was cold.
