Well, I was thoroughly impressed with what I tried here! Roasted Pork "Lechon" ($18) // slow roasted berkshire pork shoulder, garlic mojo, pickled onion. This was the most filling bowl of food I've consumed in recent memory. The lechon was tender and flavorful, two ginormous pieces of unctuous, pull apart meat. The tostones were crispy and delicious. Pickled onions balanced the dish, though I was curious with the choice of using rings as opposed to smaller, julienne slices. Rice was yummy, beans just needed some seasoning. Hearty and comforting food right here! It was all so good that I had to stop by the stall later and tell the chef how much I enjoyed it. A little gem right here in Miami...wait...I mean Arvada!!!

Furthermore, when we raised a concern regarding the quality of the fried rice which appeared to be plain white rice with frozen vegetables rather than the fried rice we have received in the past our concerns were ignored, and our request for a simple substitution of fries was flatly refused. I was also shocked to see additional line items on our bill for requests that are standard in the service industry. Specifically, I was charged $1.00 for a request for "extra crispy" fries, and I have previously been charged for simple accompaniments like lemons. Charging customers for basic food preparation preferences feels both petty and indicative of a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction. The combination of hostile service, a significant decline in food quality, and the nickel-and-diming of standard requests has made it clear that I will not be returning to your business. I believe it is important for you to be aware of how these practices are impacting long-term customers. Unfortunately their fryer was not working for their grand opening and a lot of the items were out before we got there. But overall the food was delicious. Not to mention we received complimentary flan for their grand opening that was so amazing. The fried cheese was so yum and so was the triple sandwich. In fact, when I started eating my bowl I wasn't thinking I was going to like it, but by the time I got halfway through I thought you know this is actually pretty good.
