    Steak & Chicken Combo
    Stacie W.

We stopped in for dinner on a recent trip to visit family. The staff is really nice and the patio seating is wonderful. We started with the spicy edamame and gyoza for appetizers. The edamame was a little vinegary but the spice was perfect. The gyoza were cooked perfectly with a nice amount of filling. Hubby liked the sushi. I can't remember the rolls they had, but I don't like sushi, so I didn't try any. I had the 2 meat combo hibachi that came with onion soup and salad. The soup was very good. Lots of flavor. The salad had a lot of dressing and a little bit of a bitter taste, but I still ate it all. LOL! I chose chicken and steak for my entree. The chicken was alright, but the steak was soooo good. It was cooked to a perfect medium and so tender. I ate all of that first and took the chicken home. The rice was cooked well and the veggies were fresh.

Utterly amazing and authentic sushi! Such a little place in Towne Lake. Their fish is super fresh! They take a lot of time and care in their preparation. Don't expect this to come out too fast. And be glad it does not. The Unagi is to die for. Dipped in a beautiful sauce and then of course coated with the traditional Unagi sauce. I have also had a chance to sample their noodles. Well cooked super soft and pleasant to the palate. The broth was amazing. The staff was also extremely friendly. Always willing to help out with whatever you needed. Prompt service was also available. Well done So. Great food. Great staff. Great location. Good prices. Rocksolid five stars

My family and I visited Taisho several times. During our last visit, the food was fresh and tasty and the chef asked for my salmon temperature which I appreciated. Our server was bubbly, friendly and attentive. The ambiance is a typical hibachi style setting.

"I BID YOU FAREWELL" CELEBRATION My family and I visited this establishment about three weeks ago at the request of my youngest son in honor of his enlistment into the United States Navy, so this was his farewell dinner. Although he had never previously experienced what this establishment has to offer, he chose this place because he loves Japanese Hibachi and sushi. As a matter of fact, none of us had ever visited this establishment before. If you know me well, then you would know that I am very particular about trying out a restaurant for the first time. Soooo, here goes!!! I called the restaurant earlier in the day around noon and requested a reservation for a party of eight for 4 pm and was surprisingly accommodated by the hostess over the phone. Making a reservation was sweet and simple, no hassles. Upon arrival, the staff were waiting and ready for us. They were very friendly and welcoming. I can't remember what everyone ordered but I will try my best. For my drink, I ordered a Mai Tai which tasted very delicious, but lacked the liquor. So, I ordered an old fashioned. Now, old fashions are usually pretty strong, if prepared correctly, but this one was weak. The flavor was good but like the other drink, it lacked the liquor. So, if you're wondering why I gave four stars out of five, it was the lack of liquor in the supposedly alcohol drinks. Alcohol drinks cost too much money to be stiffing the customers. I didn't feel anything after downing two different alcohol beverages which is strange. My daughter ordered an Apple Martini which she said was very tasty but also that she did not taste any liquor. So sad. I did not complain to the manager or my waiter. I just went with the flow. We ended up ordering some hot Sake and then and only then is when we finally felt a buzz, lol. The Sake was very delicious and warm. I guess they can't fool anyone by pretending that they've given you warm sake, lol. So, I would suggest not to order alcohol beverages or to order at your own risk. Now for the good part, the food! We had such a friendly chef by the name of Juan. He was engaging and made our experience exciting by inviting each of us to play along in a game of catch-the-food-in-your-mouth. This was really fun and made everyone laugh as some of us were terrible at catching the food with our mouth, lol. Everyone ordered fried rice with their meal, except for my son, he ordered steamed white rice since he now has to watch his salt in-take in order to have good blood pressure because the Navy requires you to be a bill of health. The different proteins that were ordered across the table were scallops, shrimp, chicken, steak, lobster, and filet mignon. Everything was absolutely delicious, especially the scallops that I ordered. They were cooked to perfection. My husband enjoyed his filet mignon immensely and said that it was nice and tender and flavorful. Overall, this establishment has great cuisine and great customer service. The alcohol beverages are delicious in flavor but lacks the presence of the alcohol. The ambiance is relaxing and chill. I rated them four stars and I highly recommend them to anyone who loves Hibachi. My family and I had a lovely time celebrating one of the biggest moments in my youngest child's life. I would like to thank this establishment for the great customer service and the delicious food that was rendered on this day. It made the occasion even more enjoyable for us.

Came with one of my friends on a Tuesday afternoon. The place was pretty open. We weren't sure if we wanted to eat here because there was a bit of a smell but we gave it a try anyways. I actually enjoyed my food. Loved how the Meuse separates cooked sushi vs raw sushi! I also wanted a Mocktail and they were able to accommodate me! All in all the food was solid I would definitely go back for some cheap sushi eats and drinks

Sushi by the water! Towne Lake Boardwalk plenty of restaurants, this sushi and hibachi place is a great location. This is only a sushi review. Location and ambiance- This places offers outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor the nice high booth area. Great to take a date. During this time of the pandemic they are taking great precautions. Waiters have on masks and everyone is well spaced out. If you choose not to sit inside the outside the outside is great. Sushi- I decided to go pretty basic this round with crunchy dog which is like a shaggy dog but with crab. The lunch menu had a pepper tuna sashimi but the waiter was kind and made regular sashimi. Everything was fresh and tasted great. The service was quick. My on ripe was the the Coke was flat. I will go back to experience hibachi part.

"That Garlic Butter Sauce? OMG!" 02-04-26…read more This place came highly recommended by one of my students who works there. He bragged about the food and said it was so delicious and that I needed to try it. I'm glad I listened, because he was absolutely right. The food is amazing! And just to be clear, this isn't your typical hibachi spot where the chef puts on a whole show and flips food in the air. Joeone Hibachi Go is smaller, with a medium-sized dining room. You walk up to the counter, place your order, and the chef cooks everything in the back. I also appreciated that you can actually see the chefs through the square kitchen window; it's a nice touch and makes the place feel more open. Customer service was great. Sonia helped me and she was welcoming, friendly, and polite. The dining area was very clean and well-kept, so I chose to dine in. The ambiance was relaxing with dim lighting, and it was pleasantly quiet: no music and no TVs blaring. The only sounds were customers coming in and ordering, the chef's spatula clanging on the hibachi grill, and Sonia taking phone orders. Simple, calm, and comfortable. I ordered the Hibachi Shrimp Bowl, which comes with fried rice, vegetables, and one sauce of your choice. I went with the garlic butter sauce and ordered a yum yum sauce on the side just to taste test it. Y'all... both sauces were amazing, but the garlic butter sauce was my favorite. OMG. The garlic flavor was bold, buttery, and just right. The yum yum sauce had that tangy-sweet vibe, and it was a hit drizzled over the shrimp, veggies, and rice. Honestly, the bowl itself was already full of robust flavor and could stand alone without any sauce, but the sauces took it to another level enhancing the piquancy. Food Rating: Hibachi Shrimp Bowl -- 5/5 I paid $13.64 for the bowl. The portions look a little small at first, but the shrimp were a nice size and I did end up full. Overall, Joeone Hibachi Go is a unique spot serving delicious hibachi bowls and sauces so good they'll make you want to slap yo mama. I love the concept of fast-serving hibachi in a bowl; it's clever, convenient, and definitely enticing. If you enjoy mouthwatering Japanese-style hibachi flavors, I highly recommend giving them a try. You won't be disappointed!

We were excited to come here for her birthday, as the last time we were here the experience was wonderful. This time not so much. For starters, she ordered the Agedashi tofu and stated multiple times she did not want fish flakes on it. There was confusion as the menu provided to us does not state that there is fish flakes on the dish. Upon receiving the appetizer, she immediately stated that it was incorrect and had asked there be no fish flakes. The person who brought it to us, I assume was the manager, said nothing, he looked at it and turned around and took it back to the kitchen. Albeit he seemed annoyed to do so. We also ordered the pork gyoza which came out perfect. The server did apologize and we all acknowledged the confusion about the fish flakes, as they are not listed in the physical menu. We then proceeded to order the full size teriyaki steak bento box to share. Which comes with either fried or steamed rice, two egg rolls, two carb puffs, the teriyaki steak, four pieces of a California roll, choice of soup and some orange slices. Which I read to the server. We state to our server that we want steamed rice, miso soup and that we are sharing the bento box, as there was confusion if we were getting two full orders. I then say that I would like to add a side of spicy mayo, eel sauce and the crunch flakes so that I can add them to the four pieces of the California roll in the bento box. There was a back and forth between my friend and myself and the server, which the conversation ended with what I believed was a clear understanding that I wanted these sauces to add to the roll that came with the bento box. In turn what happened was the miso soup was brought out followed by the bento box. There were no sauces to go with the roll. I looked at the box and said that the sauces we had asked for were not there, to which our server stated that the California roll was at the sushi bar. At this point my friend and I were both confused as we did not order an additional California roll. The server then seemed to kind of push it on to us as it was already "made and ready". But again we never ordered this. So we denied receiving it. Our server then takes the bento box from the table back to the kitchen and goes and speaks to the same man, we presumed was the manager. He looked at our table, continued speaking with the server and never spoke to us directly. Our server brings back our bento box, with now four new pieces of the california roll, but does not bring the sauces that were initially asked for, and begins to tell me that the california roll does not come with those said sauces on it or crunch flakes. At this point I did show frustration and state to the server that I was aware those things did not come on the roll, which is why I ordered them as an extra side. Our server states the sauces were an upcharge and I said that was fine, I was more than okay with paying an additional charge. We finally get the sauces we wanted for our roll, the server apologizes again and lets me know we were not charged for the two sauces due to the confusion. We say thank you and overall enjoy our meal. My friend and I also both had one glass of peach wine each. When our server came back to check on us, my friend and I both stated, we wanted to order one glass of wine that we would split. When the server came back with two refill pours, we both were over the experience. We knew immediately we would be charged for two refills, even though we ordered one to split, which we would have been fine splitting ourselves. We just accepted that our order was messed up again. We lastly ordered the banana split pie, which nowhere on the menu card (as it is on the table in the standing display) states that there are nuts. It was when we received it that we learned there are nuts, and unfortunately I have a nut sensitivity and my mouth did start to itch and burn. At the end of the day the overall experience was not the best. I feel our server may have been new and ill prepared. But managent not talking to us, and having what seemed to be annoyance for us sending back an incorrectly prepared dish. As well as their physical menus not accurately stating what is in a dish, just overall made this a crappy experience. Which is disappointing as our first time there, was a complete 180 of this experience. The food quality was great and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. I enjoy their food but probably will not eat there again anytime soon.
