I've come here 2 times now and I would return. Solely because they have fatty salmon, scallop sashimi, and let you choose the thickness. The fatty salmon makes this place unique, it's not at all common for ayce sushi spots, and it makes all the difference with such a smooth taste. Scallop also isn't always on the menu as a sashimi option so it's nice that taizzi has it. They're generous with the portions here, and it's worth the price completely. The menu is extremely extensive and detailed too for the rolls. Admittedly, I haven't had a roll that stood out to me yet, and there was a few that were lackluster, but I mostly just stick to what I know is always going to hit the spot which are the appetizers and sashimi/nigiri. The raw fish is really what I enjoy about this place. Everything tastes fresh. If you truly like sashimi, this is the place for to go to!

Oh gosh this place is delicious, just go you won't regret it. The service was delicious and let me tell ya this place had such a welcoming vibe. I come here frequently still and am impressed with the service 6 stars

Crab Puff - 4pc

You know what I crave after a 2 hour workout? Pizza, sushi, and anything and everything Nutella. Especially after 9pm, Taizzi has the sushi craving covered. Other than the ability order late, their sushi selection is pretty impressive and affordable. Although they do not offer uni or otoro, they do offer plenty of nigiri & sashimi options. So much so, that I tried a few items I'd usually pass over. My order of 6 nigiri, crab puff and miso was a little over $25. Tbh, I'm not sure I received all of the nigiri I ordered (I seemed to receive 2 squid and 2 nigiri of another white fish instead of the red snapper I ordered), but everything was well packaged! The food iteself, well there were hits and misses. Crab puffs were served as little wonton pockets, and the sauce was unconventional (maybe I was given the wrong sauce). In addition to my nigiri, I received 2 sauces beyond the traditional soy sauce- one spicy, one citrus (yuzu maybe). TBH, I wish there was a bit more instruction or I was less green in my sushi game because I had no idea what to do with them or which fish they paired with, but alone each sauce tasted delicious. As far as quality cuts, they left a bit to be desired and the salmon roe nigiri was briny (as expected) but extremely salty. That being said, my few additional bites were satisfying. It's very possible that I'm to blame for this experience since ordering near closing may have affected the quality of the fish, so I'm certainly up to give them another try, in the daytime.

This is my go to all you can eat sushi spot for either lunch or dinner! I recommend getting anything with tuna, the seaweed salad is delicious and the tempura is light and crispy! Be sure to come with a big appetite because you can eat one of everything on the menu and be satisfied! And don't miss the green tea mochi if you want to stay up all night and if you enjoy sleeping definitely up for the strawberry mochi. Five out of five will return.

One of my fave places, and I've debated on leaving an updated review with less than 5 stars... And here it is. I've always said, if something is perfected, and it gets expanded and bigger, the quality and service won't be the same. Here is the proof. I've ordered takeout many times here and I will deliberately show up 20-30 minutes after ready time and my order will NOT be ready. I'm not sure if this is to prevent no shows, but these are pre-paid orders via Uber Eats/Door Dash. When I've had a long day and just wanna pick up sushi, it's exhausting having to wait an additional 20-45 minutes after an estimated ready time. This is every single time over the past year. I've been supporting Taizzi since before Covid in Katy. I'm overjoyed for their success with 2, and now going on 3 locations. However, the service and quality has not been the same. Tai (Owner) no longer makes the sushi, which is okay. However you can tell the rolls are not tightly rolled and the cuts of fish are all over the place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is what it is... the main suggestion here: dine in is the better option.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I went to this restaurant with my friends. Even though they said they were short staffed, the food came out pretty quick. They have plenty of options from raw to cooked food. I highly recommend getting mango mochi for dessert. AYCE after tax price is around $40, which is average. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant got full very quick, so I do recommend y'all go early to get a table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can order food in tablets now. They have pictures of the dishes on them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store has a cozy atmosphere and very clean; however, I don't recommend bringing kids due to lack of space to run around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Spicy Tuna Hand Roll, Spicy Salmon Hand Roll

Taizzi is my family's favorite AYCE sushi spot. Fresh sushi, great service - what's there not to love? My most recent visit was on September 28 for a birthday celebration. We had a pretty large group of 13. Reservation cannot be made on the weekend so we went for early dinner at 4pm to avoid the crowd. Service was great as usual, food came out fast. Towards the end of our meal, they got busier so we waited for quite a while for the bill to be taken care of. Their selection of sushi and sashimi is phenomenal! The appetizers are also incredible. Besides raw items, they also have short ribs, udon, and other hot items which is great for the little ones in my family. I personally love handrolls so spicy tuna & spicy salmon handrolls are my go-to. One thing I would mention though, food items from multiple individuals might be plated together. Sometimes it caused confusion for us, especially when multiple people order the same thing. It's not a big deal if everyone is doing AYCE, since you can always order more. But need to pay attention if a few is ordering a-la-carte.

Seared Y/S Salmon Sushi

This is THE best sushi restaurant that can be All You Can Eat or Al a Cart to go for a quick bite for lunch with your family and also a good date night with someone. I have been here countless times and this place never disappoints. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their service is very awesome! Kind waitresses and clean bathroom (Unfortunately I couldn't take a photo for the men's bathroom but I will say it was sanitary and clean with a surprisingly good smelling soap!).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is kid friendly, has a sort of relaxing dark, quiet environment all the while playing calming and joyful music, which can ease your mind after a long day from work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant includes multiple TVS that are mounted to the walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As for the food, their quantity and variety of foods includes lots of things like California Rolls, Tempura, and Seared Y/S Salmon Sushi. My favourite part of this restaurant is their absolutely delicious Seared Y/S Salmon Sushi. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In conclusion, this restaurant includes a big quantity and variety of foods, a wonderful ambiance, respectful and hardworking staff, and lastly and clean and sanitary bathroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely recommend trying this place out. P.S: Joel the server was very great helping us and bring our food to us!!

free Ice Cream

I don't know what took my friend so long to tell me about this place! She kept mentioning the $1 sushi, and I was thinking how good could it be??? Well apparently, it's a special they do a certain time of year, $1 nigiri and I was wrong...it was good! So many variety on the menu with the exception of a few items not included in the special. It's easy to go IN and I'm sure they're banking on it. Fresh and tasty. We ordered so much (3 of us) and split the bill of $75! SHOCKETH! Now while the sushi was good, I ordered some shrimp fried rice and it definitely wasn't. And I learned by my friends that hot sake is not for me but that fried ice cream definitely is. We got the matcha and I got a bite; wanted to snatch the bowl lol. The friend that recommended asked about some free ice cream so I got to try the chocolate as well. The service was good, no issues. One even cracked a couple jokes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is in a shopping plaza so not that big.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think friend said the $1 special runs through Aug or mid Aug. idk when it starts but definitely worth finding out.

We have been coming here since it first opened, and we still enjoy it today. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have upgraded the light fixtures and tablet features, making it more convenient to order AYCE options without having to wait for the servers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a fantastic idea! The sashimi is always cut thick and fresh, and everything comes out hot for the baked items. I have never had a negative experience here. It's definitely one of my favorite spots for AYCE dining, and the prices are great, too!

Beef Bulgogi & Garlic Fried Rice
Adannaya I.

Came here for a quick lunch date with friends before church and I'm so glad to add this to my list of sushi spots! We ordered the garlic fried rice, the shrimp fried rice, beef bulgogi, and the chicken katsuyu which were all great. The start of the show was definitely this sushi roll (but I can't remember the name omg). But it's actually the best sushi I've had in a while. It was filling, and juicy, and just good! We ended up taking most of our food to go and we were shocked by the portions! Like the whole to go plate was packed. Overall the food is great, super filling, and super worth the price. I'll be back for sure.

I went again last night with friends and wow they've even added a touchscreen ordering system at every table, which is a game-changer! The waiter warned us that food was going to take a bit longer than usual to come out, which we appreciated so we ordered more at once. The food didn't take too long to come out though and everything felt fresh. We love the variety of options Taizzi offers from appetizers to dishes and soups to of course sushi/sashimi and rolls. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely a chill ambience great for catching up with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Shrimp Tempura
Patty C.

While I still enjoy coming here, the quality has gone down a bit since my last visit. When the owner Tai isn't working, the rolls aren't rolled properly. The proportions are off, the shape was off, and they fall apart with an attempt of consumption. The sashimi pieces have also shrunk, though this I don't mind because I thought they were too large to begin with. Lastly, the fish was room temperature. That's a big no no. Whoever is back there making the sushi really needs better training. I still really enjoy the unagi tray, and the shrimp tempura is sublime.

The decor was nice and was a great place for a date. We got the calamari, salmon ochizuke, bibimbap, and bulgogi roll. It was definitely way too much food. The calamari was super good, nice and crispy and flavorful and came with a slightly spicy sauce. The salmon sushi was a star. Torched with a great smoky flavor, we were told to probably just eat half the rice. Extremely rich but paired well with the light pickled wasabi. The bibimbap and bulgogi roll could not hold up to the first two, so we opted to take them to go. The bulgogi roll was an odd mix and didn't end up tasting as good as it sounded and the bibimbap was great but we were too full to really enjoy it. Overall, awesome restaurant with a really extensive menu. Will need to be back to try their other options!

The menu was quite expansive but cohesive with Italian/ Asian fusion. I got seated and immediately was given a menu and cold water in a stainless steel cup. I ordered the sliced beef udon soup version (there's also an option for stirfy) but granted, today was cloudy and slightly windy so it called for soup. After placing my order, I was given the proper utensils and shortly after, a large piping bowl was placed in front of me! Flavor was good and the sliced beef was addicting.. the portion was a bit much for lunch to me so I had to ask for togo and the waitress came out and put it away for me in a custom togo bag that sealed so that was fun to leave with. The waitress was certainly very tentative and made sure other guests had their waters filled at all times so I'd love to come back to try out their other menu items like their omurice or their lobster creamy rice. Location: in the Dun Huang Plaza across from HMart. The parking is shared with many of its neighbors but if you plan it right, you'll be able to snag a spot close by and walk less than a minute. The food wasn't bad, but also nothing amazing either. While prices throughout their menu varied, it just doesn't feel like there was anything that stood out or provide value. It is definitely an alternative to the wide array of more traditional Asian cuisine in the area.

Their menu consists of apps (mostly fried), soups and salads, lobster dishes, steaks, vietnamese seafood dishes, shellfish entrees (clams, scallops, etc), an oyster section, stir fry dishes, rice creations, and fried seafood dishes. They serve beer and wine but have some Asian wine-based cocktails. This is truly a fusion restaurant since they have Vietnamese, American, Chinese, Thai, and Peruvian influences on their menu. They have boiled seafood, of course, including crawfish during the season. On every table is also a $12.95 lunch menu with soups, sandwiches and seafood dishes. This may be one of the better deals out there. We tried a few dishes: drunken lobster, surf and turf, crab fried rice, drunken tofu, and shrimp with salted egg. Two additional people in our group came a little later and actually ordered the lunch special (pork chop plate) and chicken wings. Their napkins are a little strange as they're tri-fold style like you would normally see in a restroom. The dishes were pretty good, but I ended up eating mostly noodles since their garlic noodles are pretty addicting. The sirloin that came on the steak dish was supposedly a little tough but that is typical of a basic sirloin steak. I didn't actually get to sample it since other people grabbed it before I could. They only had L and XL size lobster the day we came...so they said their prices were around $90 and $108...I think we selected the $90 size. The drunken lobster dish can be shared between 2 people as it's a big platter but just 1 cut up lobster. The garlic noodles beneath the lobster pieces on the drunken lobster are way better than the noodles beneath the shrimp and steak on the surf and turf since they are stir-fried with lots of onions, jalapeños and what seemed to be small ground pork/beef chunks.
