You know what I crave after a 2 hour workout? Pizza, sushi, and anything and everything Nutella. Especially after 9pm, Taizzi has the sushi craving covered. Other than the ability order late, their sushi selection is pretty impressive and affordable. Although they do not offer uni or otoro, they do offer plenty of nigiri & sashimi options. So much so, that I tried a few items I'd usually pass over. My order of 6 nigiri, crab puff and miso was a little over $25. Tbh, I'm not sure I received all of the nigiri I ordered (I seemed to receive 2 squid and 2 nigiri of another white fish instead of the red snapper I ordered), but everything was well packaged! The food iteself, well there were hits and misses. Crab puffs were served as little wonton pockets, and the sauce was unconventional (maybe I was given the wrong sauce). In addition to my nigiri, I received 2 sauces beyond the traditional soy sauce- one spicy, one citrus (yuzu maybe). TBH, I wish there was a bit more instruction or I was less green in my sushi game because I had no idea what to do with them or which fish they paired with, but alone each sauce tasted delicious. As far as quality cuts, they left a bit to be desired and the salmon roe nigiri was briny (as expected) but extremely salty. That being said, my few additional bites were satisfying. It's very possible that I'm to blame for this experience since ordering near closing may have affected the quality of the fish, so I'm certainly up to give them another try, in the daytime.

This is my go to all you can eat sushi spot for either lunch or dinner! I recommend getting anything with tuna, the seaweed salad is delicious and the tempura is light and crispy! Be sure to come with a big appetite because you can eat one of everything on the menu and be satisfied! And don't miss the green tea mochi if you want to stay up all night and if you enjoy sleeping definitely up for the strawberry mochi. Five out of five will return.

Awesome sushi spot. Went for HH. They brought out a little pickles bite. The HH prices only on food but a great deal. Also if you arrive just before HH they will let you order at those prices for an hour after the clock runs out. Obv we did à la carte but for $30pp there is an all you can eat option with drinks and dessert incl. Great variety and three regular rolls or hand rolls for $12. $1 nigiri and miso soup. Great service and ambiance.

One of my fave places, and I've debated on leaving an updated review with less than 5 stars... And here it is. I've always said, if something is perfected, and it gets expanded and bigger, the quality and service won't be the same. Here is the proof. I've ordered takeout many times here and I will deliberately show up 20-30 minutes after ready time and my order will NOT be ready. I'm not sure if this is to prevent no shows, but these are pre-paid orders via Uber Eats/Door Dash. When I've had a long day and just wanna pick up sushi, it's exhausting having to wait an additional 20-45 minutes after an estimated ready time. This is every single time over the past year. I've been supporting Taizzi since before Covid in Katy. I'm overjoyed for their success with 2, and now going on 3 locations. However, the service and quality has not been the same. Tai (Owner) no longer makes the sushi, which is okay. However you can tell the rolls are not tightly rolled and the cuts of fish are all over the place. It is what it is... the main suggestion here: dine in is the better option.

I went to this restaurant with my friends. Even though they said they were short staffed, the food came out pretty quick. They have plenty of options from raw to cooked food. I highly recommend getting mango mochi for dessert. AYCE after tax price is around $40, which is average. The restaurant got full very quick, so I do recommend y'all go early to get a table. You can order food in tablets now. They have pictures of the dishes on them. The store has a cozy atmosphere and very clean; however, I don't recommend bringing kids due to lack of space to run around.

Taizzi is my family's favorite AYCE sushi spot. Fresh sushi, great service - what's there not to love? My most recent visit was on September 28 for a birthday celebration. We had a pretty large group of 13. Reservation cannot be made on the weekend so we went for early dinner at 4pm to avoid the crowd. Service was great as usual, food came out fast. Towards the end of our meal, they got busier so we waited for quite a while for the bill to be taken care of. Their selection of sushi and sashimi is phenomenal! The appetizers are also incredible. Besides raw items, they also have short ribs, udon, and other hot items which is great for the little ones in my family. I personally love handrolls so spicy tuna & spicy salmon handrolls are my go-to. One thing I would mention though, food items from multiple individuals might be plated together. Sometimes it caused confusion for us, especially when multiple people order the same thing. It's not a big deal if everyone is doing AYCE, since you can always order more. But need to pay attention if a few is ordering a-la-carte.

I don't know what took my friend so long to tell me about this place! She kept mentioning the $1 sushi, and I was thinking how good could it be??? Well apparently, it's a special they do a certain time of year, $1 nigiri and I was wrong...it was good! So many variety on the menu with the exception of a few items not included in the special. It's easy to go IN and I'm sure they're banking on it. Fresh and tasty. We ordered so much (3 of us) and split the bill of $75! SHOCKETH! Now while the sushi was good, I ordered some shrimp fried rice and it definitely wasn't. And I learned by my friends that hot sake is not for me but that fried ice cream definitely is. We got the matcha and I got a bite; wanted to snatch the bowl lol. The friend that recommended asked about some free ice cream so I got to try the chocolate as well. The service was good, no issues. One even cracked a couple jokes. The restaurant is in a shopping plaza so not that big. I think friend said the $1 special runs through Aug or mid Aug. idk when it starts but definitely worth finding out.

We have been coming here since it first opened, and we still enjoy it today. They have upgraded the light fixtures and tablet features, making it more convenient to order AYCE options without having to wait for the servers. It's a fantastic idea! The sashimi is always cut thick and fresh, and everything comes out hot for the baked items. I have never had a negative experience here. It's definitely one of my favorite spots for AYCE dining, and the prices are great, too!

I went again last night with friends and wow they've even added a touchscreen ordering system at every table, which is a game-changer! The waiter warned us that food was going to take a bit longer than usual to come out, which we appreciated so we ordered more at once. The food didn't take too long to come out though and everything felt fresh. We love the variety of options Taizzi offers from appetizers to dishes and soups to of course sushi/sashimi and rolls. Definitely a chill ambience great for catching up with friends.

Beef Bulgogi & Garlic Fried Rice

Came here for a quick lunch date with friends before church and I'm so glad to add this to my list of sushi spots! We ordered the garlic fried rice, the shrimp fried rice, beef bulgogi, and the chicken katsuyu which were all great. The start of the show was definitely this sushi roll (but I can't remember the name omg). But it's actually the best sushi I've had in a while. It was filling, and juicy, and just good! We ended up taking most of our food to go and we were shocked by the portions! Like the whole to go plate was packed. Overall the food is great, super filling, and super worth the price. I'll be back for sure.

What do you do when you ask about your order and the server says it went to another table? ‍ I placed my order and was left hanging! After driving almost 5 hours from Dallas to Houston, I was starving. My cousin found this restaurant on TikTok, so I was excited. My family and I sat at two tables to order different dishes, but here's the issue: I arrived at 8:33 PM and placed my order at 8:40 PM. By 9:25 PM, still no food! When I brought it up, the owner thought I was joking, even asked my age, and called me a "you baby" (I'm in my late 20s!). This was especially disrespectful considering I had just given him my card to pay for the entire bill, which ended up at $488 for 10 people! For this price, the service was definitely not worth it, and food was kinda meh too. The restaurant wasn't even busy! Only Joel was helpful in trying to get us our food. We're a family but sitting at different tables for a reason--table numbers and ticket order exist for a purpose! It's ridiculous we have to raise our hands and speak up just to get our food. I will never come back!

    Shrimp Tempura
    Patty C.

While I still enjoy coming here, the quality has gone down a bit since my last visit. When the owner Tai isn't working, the rolls aren't rolled properly. The proportions are off, the shape was off, and they fall apart with an attempt of consumption. The sashimi pieces have also shrunk, though this I don't mind because I thought they were too large to begin with. Lastly, the fish was room temperature. That's a big no no. Whoever is back there making the sushi really needs better training. I still really enjoy the unagi tray, and the shrimp tempura is sublime.

After placing my order, I was given the proper utensils and shortly after, a large piping bowl was placed in front of me! Flavor was good and the sliced beef was addicting.. the portion was a bit much for lunch to me so I had to ask for togo and the waitress came out and put it away for me in a custom togo bag that sealed so that was fun to leave with. They serve beer and wine but have some Asian wine-based cocktails. This is truly a fusion restaurant since they have Vietnamese, American, Chinese, Thai, and Peruvian influences on their menu. They have boiled seafood, of course, including crawfish during the season. On every table is also a $12.95 lunch menu with soups, sandwiches and seafood dishes. This may be one of the better deals out there. We tried a few dishes: drunken lobster, surf and turf, crab fried rice, drunken tofu, and shrimp with salted egg. Two additional people in our group came a little later and actually ordered the lunch special (pork chop plate) and chicken wings. Their napkins are a little strange as they're tri-fold style like you would normally see in a restroom. The dishes were pretty good, but I ended up eating mostly noodles since their garlic noodles are pretty addicting. The garlic noodles beneath the lobster pieces on the drunken lobster are way better than the noodles beneath the shrimp and steak on the surf and turf since they are stir-fried with lots of onions, jalapeños and what seemed to be small ground pork/beef chunks.
