First time here in over 10 years. Buffets scare me especially after Covid. The buffet is a wide variety of food. Meat is decent and a good selection to choose from. I used to go to the Golden corral in Boardman, Ohio with my son, which was an excellent restaurant. It was clean. It wasn't overcrowded. Every food presentation was professional making you want you to eat because we eat with her eyes first, all the employees were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. However, since I hadn't been to a Golden Corral in years and had just find out that there were still one in the Pittsburgh area my daughter and granddaughter and I went to it out in the Robinson Center area. It was horrible. The food was mediocre, it wasn't even pleasantly looking enough to put it on your plate except for a few things like a container of corn or mashed potatoes, but everything else was uninviting,poorly presented for people to see and determine if they want to try it. The restaurant was crowded; the floor was dirty and for the amount of money they charged/person including extra charge for a drink. I wanted to come here for dinner, and my mom and Dante obliged me. All of the food was very fresh. I especially enjoyed all of the vegetables. I only ate a small bite of meatloaf for protein. For dessert, the bread pudding was delicious. read more

Despite the not great reviews on Yelp, we decided to give this Golden Corral a try one night when we wanted to switch up our dinner location. I thought the decor was nice. They had a big Christmas tree up in the center of the room and a few other touches around the dining areas. The tables and floors were all clean and most of the buffet area was clean, as well. The food selection was a little unimpressive, but maybe I'm just used to larger buffets. They had American and a few Asian-style dishes available with a fruit and salad station too. Unfortunately, most of what we tried we didn't love. It was either too dry, not flavorful enough, or just.. not great. But, we truly enjoyed the sirloin steak that is cooked to order fresh in front of you on the grill and the pot roast. Both were juicy, fresh, and had an overall great taste. We also appreciated the soft serve ice cream station with fun toppings like chocolate and caramel sauce and gummy bears. Our waitress that managed our drinks and plate removal was politely and friendly. I can't say that we'll be back, but it was a passable experience. read more

Of all the Golden Corral restaurants I've been to this one on park manor blvd SUCKS!!!!! The place wasn't super busy and yet the women's restroom was gross. The service was disrespectful and disgusting. When we first walked in my hwitnessed the lady getting drinks where you pay at stick her fingers in her mouth like she was pulling something outta her teeth or whatever, and then she gets our drinks but wasn't wearing gloves and certainly didn't warsh her hands! So my husband asked the guy (who I believe is the manager) who rang us up if we could get new drinks and explained why. The guy was very unconcerned with what my husband said, the guy never even bothered to apologize for the lady gross behavior or act like he was even concerned about tThe food was fine I guess. Everyone seemed to speak like broken English that was cooking at all of the stations so communication especially at the grilling station was hard. The entire restaurant was filthy. I will start this off by saying that Golden Corral is 90% worth it. 14$ (don't get fountain drink, just get water bc soda pops up the price to 18) for all this food is a steal. Huge dessert section with fire cotton candy and slushees. We went lunch so there was no steak but the pulled pork and grilled cheese was filling and the spread of food is very wide. I also did not get diarrhea or constipation afterwards, which is huge. I will say tho food taste/texture factor is not that high, I think the novelty of different foods makes it not bad. I absolutely love Golden corral if I had one around me I would definitely be there at least twice a month because I am on a limited budget but currently the nearest one is an hour away I do not drive so getting somebody to take me is way harder than it could be. I wish they would open one up here in Indiana county in either Indiana PA or Blairsville PA. We've just had a Starbucks go in we have a dunkin' donuts lots of fast food and one Mexican restaurant we do not have any type of smorgasbord restaurant in the area that I know of. First customers in the door when they opened at 8am. Place very clean, staff friendly, food plentiful. Then we sat down to eat, food was ice cold, sausage links not cooked at all. No eggs to order, have the fix n's for omelets, but nowhere to get one made. Waitress provided me with coffee refills, half a cup at a time. The person who came around, took our plates, and asked if we needed refills I had, Robin, was really sweet and definitely brought my review up! We really enjoyed our food this evening. Lisa was our server and was so kind and prompt. She had a few unruly tables but kept her cool and didn't act like she was under any pressure or that she had just been yelled at by people who wanted their dinner for free. Everything is dry and sitting out - save your money! Plenty of other places near here- stay clear

First time being here in months and the experience blew my mind. All the food was seasoned to perfection. The roast was so tender it melted while consuming. The ribs were properly marinated and cooked so well flavors wildly in every bite. I use to rarely come to this location because it was just another place to eat, but now with these improvements it has become one of my new favorites. Today, I had some really great food at the Robinson Golden Coral, Pittsburgh, PA. I even pulled the manager Melinda, to the side to tell her how good the food was today. The rib roast just fell apart, I barely had to chew it. The flavors were so on point I only added a fork! The chicken was crispy and tender, mashed potatoes creamy and firm, green beans cooked to perfection and the clam chowder actually had clams in every spoon. Our server was there to clear every late and fill every drink without having to ask. if you have an opportunity to visit and have a meal please do. it has been some time since I was last here and the upgrade to the food is welcomed. read more

The staff handling the grill are rude, stingy, obnoxious, very unfriendly, clearly hate their job and flat out stingy on the meat refuse to refill. Management here is absent. Nice manager lady but I can tell she doesn't discipline the grill staff because she's afraid they would quit. Hard to secure labor at a restaurant like this, but something needs to be done about how lazy and rude they are. I once stood there for 8 minutes while grille unattended waiting to be served a piece of steak. You pay almost $25 for dinner buffet and you get ripped with dry burnt old meat. Unacceptable. Food was great but the smell in the women's bathroom was beyond putrid. There was a nasty sticky substance all over the entire floor splashed and splattered. What could improve? EVERYTHING!! Last time I was at Golden Corral was 5 years or more ago. My faux nephew and his family were mooching off me at that time, and taking them--nephew, his wife, one girl and three boys--was an easy way to actually fill up the 3 bottomless boys. BOY, has it gone downhill since then!! Price was over $13 for a senior lunch. Basically I shouldn't have gone there to begin with...I can't eat all I can eat any more, so that was too much money for the amount I ate, but, buffet, so there it is. I absolutely wanted soup to start, and then...I didn't. The chili looked as if it'd been there for a week or so, and the broccoli cheese soup had about the same consistency and appeal as wallpaper paste. I ended up making a taco, and taking some mashed potatoes, a piece of meatloaf and some green beans. The taco was okay, and the meatloaf was decent. The mashed potatoes were barely lukewarm, to the point that the butter I put on basically didn't melt. The green beans were fine, except they added Lima beans to them as well, for some strange reason. I would've liked another piece of meatloaf ( the pieces were small cubes), but there wasn't any when I went back up, and despite the fact I was told it had to bake another "2 or 3 minutes", it never did reappear. I got some vanilla ice cream, then found there was no hot fudge for it. When I asked about it, I was basically ignored. So again, the place isn't what it used to be, and that said, I won't go back. read more

Most employees are nice and hard workers except the ones that are supposed to make the cotton candy. They clearly don't want to be bothered doing there job. It's not just tonight ! Tonight they made it but kept it behind the counter, so you have to ask for it. Then they ignore you. 2 weeks ago they said they were out of the mixture. Went on Monday august 29th as I'm sitting in the parking lot at 10:21after being told they don't open until 11am, the website should be updated cuz it's definitely a huge inconvenience. Their was a guy waiting for us to enter to tell us the news that wasn't in a uniform like the rest of the employees I saw working in the back. I Stated to him , it says you are open at 10am and he didn't respond so we walked back to the car. Writing this post to any one else that may plan to be beat the crowd. First things first - In the lobby as you enter is a nice poster advertising how GC supports the military. So I asked for a military discount. The reply was "our manager says we don't do the military." I said no problem and paid regular price. No big deal. We were there for breakfast buffet. They had one section open for breakfast and ran out of eggs pretty quick. My granddaughter wanted chocolate ice cream. The lady smiled and gave us vanilla. So we handed her another cup and asked for chocolate. She smiled and handed us vanilla again. I will not eat here again. I recommend GC corporate enforce that military discounts be given, or remove your false advertising poster. At least don't let the specific restaurants that honor $1 off put up the poster. read more

Basic Buffett fare, food stations were very clean & organized, salad bar was all very fresh... But watch your money when you pay...! I paid with a $20, watched her look at it for a second, put it in the cash drawer, then handed me my coin change. I then told her I paid with a$20 and she said- 'Oh, yes you did..'. And I had to wait for her to wait on another group of people paying cash so she could get the register open. Now- maybe I'm wrong but that is the easiest way for cashiers to tip themselves...
