The last three or four times I have been to the weekend buffet has been hit or miss. Thankfully on this most recent visit it was more of a hit, but not perfect. The last few visits when we arrived at Noon, the buffet was not ready and we had to wait till it was finished being setup. Yesterday we arrived about 10 minutes after, and it was ready. In the past, food temperatures were not always hot, and yesterday was no exception. We observed them lighting Sternos under some of the food trays about 15 minutes after the buffet opened. The food got warmer eventually but was never really hot. The chicken soup was cold when my wife tried it. They need to do better keeping food hot and making sure food is cooked properly. One chicken wing dish did not appear fully cooked on both mine, and my daughter's plates. We decided not to eat the wings. The other chicken dishes I tasted appeared to be cooked properly. Otherwise, there is a very big selection, and most of the dishes were to my liking. They have Dosas cooked to order, and I've tried the Masala Dosa in the past, but today my daughter and I split a Chocolate Dosa (for kids the menu says), and it was delicious. I never had a chocolate one before. As I said, this place can be hit or miss ... but mostly I give them a Cheers! Namaste!!

Amazing food, amazing service!! I highly recommend. Ambiance was really nice. I enjoy listening to Bollywood music when I'm eating and they have a great taste. Samosa Chaat was my favorite! I also love the Tikka Masaala, it's soo good. Biryani was great although has a lot of flavors so be prepared. Naan bread was delicious!! The Laasi (first time) I think the taste of dairy/milk is a lot I would much rather if the mango was more overpowering than the milk. But I want to say that the mango was still strong anyway. Samosa Chaat-- 5 Stars Chicken Tikka Masala--5 Stars Garlic Naan--5 Stars Mango Lassi--4 Stars Biryani--4 Stars You have to pay for water but at least you know you're having clean water. Service was great. I asked for extra rice to go and it was given to me at no extra charge which I appreciate a lot. 100% going back again!

We came here on a Friday night and it was busy! The service was slow and it took us a while to get wine glasses and water. The restaurant is a basic Indian restaurant with not much decor. There was a tv when you enter so if you sit there it was pretty loud. We opted to sit on the other side of the restaurant away from the tv. The food was all very flavorful and there was a lot. I can't remember the names of the dishes we ordered since my friend ordered for us! I would come here again during the week or when they have their lunch buffet!

Not a huge fan. I've been at quite a few Indian restaurants, and the food I ordered from here was one of the spiciest dishes I've ever had from such a restaurant. I wasn't really impressed by any of the food and the prices are higher here than at many other places. I tried the channa bhatura (chickpea with puffy bread), kheer, and gulab jamun. The bread was quite good. They gave me two pieces of bhatura. It was flavorful and had a good texture, so no complaints there. However, the chickpeas themselves were sooo spicy! I could barely eat this dish, and it was supposed to be a 5/10 spice. They also don't have a spice option listed on their website, so make sure to write it in the comments. Also, the chickpeas were not in a nice thick curry, but rather, in a watery, soupy consistency. Not good. 2.3/5 The kheer was pretty good. Nothing that special about it. It seemed to be made with vermicelli instead of the regular rice, but not bad. Again, it was not thick and creamy, but soupy. It was at least and flavorful. They did put some nuts and raisins in there. 2.6/5 Gulab jamun was also nothing special. They give you quite small portions for $4 (3 tiny balls). It also didn't quite taste homemade (but I can't confirm this). Also just not as good as I've had elsewhere. 2.5/5 All in all, I probably won't return to this place. The prices are way high for the portions (not just for th food I ordered, but some biryanis cost $17 or $18! And curries around $16). Spice levels aren't too accurate. There are better options in my opinion. If you are considering visiting the Monroeville location, try New India Grill instead. It's sooo good, amazing portions, and way cheaper prices.

Good variety of South Indian, North Indian , Chinese food and a bakery. Comes with one plate 4 pappads as complimentary for the table however big the group is... that was really funny... Even water needed atleast 4 reminders to be refilled. That did not make us feel welcome. The dosa, chutney and sambar tasted good but they were not even warm. It is really far from city and probably would visit only when u need to go to the Sabzi Mandi grocery store.

WOW! This place seriously blew me away. The waitstaff was super friendly when I walked through the door. I walked over to check out the buffet first, to see what they had to offer. I could not believe the huge selection that they had available (tons of vegetarian options) as well. The food was wonderfully prepared, and extremely fresh. Indian food always has such amazing flavor, but this place blew all other Indian food in the area out of the water! In addition to their fresh main courses offered on the buffet, they also had homemade desserts available on the buffet & also warm chai tea. Best part? THIS BUFFET WAS UNDER $10 (LUNCH) I can not wait to come back here, and I am SCREAMING to tell everyone to CHECK THIS PLACE OUT... You will not be disappointed.

    When is the buffet?

The buffet is offered on Saturday's and Sunday's. The hours are a little different, I believe the buffet only runs until 3PM each day. I suggest arriving at the beginning of the buffet when the food is freshly prepared.

The star of the show was the Butter Chicken (Makhani); I got mine hot and my wife was able to enjoy it. Hot has enough spice to tell you that you are eating Indian food but not so hot you begin to regret your choice. Personally, I like to be uncomfortably hot with spice so I will be getting their highest spice level next time. Take a piece of Naan, a bit of chicken and then keep dipping your Naan into the sauce for the Butter Chicken...so good! The Chicken Tikka platter was good but not great; we felt the same about the Puri. I am not questioning how well it was prepared; it wasn't to our liking so that is on us and our choice. Service was fast and they really tried to help us in our selections. They do a lot of takeout business; it was a steady stream of people coming in for food. Inside the restaurant it was us and another table was occupied when we left but, overall, it was rather light activity for such good food. We plan to come back; we might just get Butter Chicken for both with me getting the super hot and my wife getting hot or a level lower. I would not order the Puri again as it wasn't what we wanted (it was described as crispy, it was slightly crispy) but the Naan was excellent.

It is unassuming from the outside and seems tiny when you enter, but don't let that fool you! First, they have an entire extra room of seating in a space next door (that seems to have been recently remodeled). The menu has a nice variety of options listing hot and cold appetizers, main entrees, sides and desserts. They specialize in Uzbek Cuisine which is quite different in some areas, but also similar to other cuisines with certain dishes. There are a variety of dumpling entrees and also fried dough/fried pocket items. One of the favorites among my family is the fried pelmeni which are small, beef filled dried delights. Perfectly fried, bite sized and packed with flavor. They are served with sour cream and a sweet chili sauce, but you don't really need any dipping sauce because they are so good on their own. Another appetizer we love is the cheburek, a beef filled fried pastry similar to something like an empanada. For entrees, I've had the Uzbek plov several times. Rice with carrots raisins and lamb. The lamb is tender and perfectly seasoned. It is one of those dishes that I am stuffed but can't stop eating because it is so delicious. The pelmeni soup is another highlight. Perfect for a cold day or to give you an ultimate comfort food meal. Service is usually pretty attentive (although if you end up in the extra room it will be on the slower side but still good). There is street parking right in front of the restaurant, but if there isn't space, there is also a municipal lot about a block away. The one down side is that if they are busy, it can take quite awhile to get food. But the wait is worth it! If you are looking to try something new and different, give this place a try. So, to make up for it, the gave me the cookies and some hummus (more than enough, so thank you!) The cookies themselves were probably my favorite part of the meal. They were coated nicely with powdered sugar and had a slight date flavor, a grainy texture, and were overall quite good. The hummus was kind of disappointing. It had a strange acidity to it. Honestly, it just didn't take that fresh or creamy. There also wasn't any pits served with it. The lamb gyro was also just alright. I had ordered it without lettuce, but it came with lettuce anyways. The meat was fine, not too tender or tough, but probably also not the highest quality. Pita seemed not homemade. Lots of vegetables. Sauce was okay, a little creamy, but not too much. The baklava was not worth buying, in my opinion. It definitely tasted storebought and not made in house. It was stale and quite flavorless. No crunch, no nuttiness, very dry. No syrup. Not that good. I probably won't be returning to this place for the cooked food. But, the market itself is really nice, so I may come back for that.

I ordered the Orange Chicken which comes with white rice and it comes with actual orange peels in the sauce which is how you know it's a true orange chicken dish. I was also surprised that there are 0 reviews about their orange chicken so here you go! The only thing I will warn you about, well maybe 2 things. 1. They are a family owned restaurant and the food is made to order so it does take some time especially when they are backed up on orders. Be patient! 2. Parking. They share a lot with a pizza shop and I usually park far so I can just pull up and not have to worry about parking at an angle and backing up, the annoyance. I wish parking was better but at least there is parking unlike other places. Did I mention that they are family owned!? That should be the bonus to this place as you know that they work hard to get orders out and that's why you must be patient! It is worth the wait! Also, there is 1 table inside but I never really see anyone eat there besides this older gentleman that was there that ordered soup and something else (it looks so familiar but I can't think of the name). The price is beyond reasonable so don't hesitate when ordering. It's best to order on their actual website for a pickup order instead of ordering it via Yelp. I noticed a $3 difference.
