3.7/5 stars Lots of fresh sashimi, crab, clams, shrimp, and crawfish. If you're a fan of buffets for their variety and love to leave satisfied and full, I'd really recommend Hokkaido. This is an old classic asian buffet. I was honestly very impressed with the selection of seafood and its quality. The items were replaced often when running low and mostly tasted pretty fresh. It feels easy to get your "money's worth" here. This restaurant has been through a lot of change throughout the years, sometimes rising and falling, but as of right now I am very impressed with the reasonable price tag and efforts on their part to leave the customer feeling happy. This place has changed for the better (despite not having a working chocolate fountain anymore). The waitresses were all very attentive and capable as well! Don't expect THE highest grade seafood and appetizers here, but appreciate the fun of getting anything you want as much as you want without feeling queasy or cheated after! I think this is the benefit of any good buffet. Many buffets suffer from extremely low-grade foods and rely on terrible, cheap tactics to get the customer to fill up on awful food. THIS PLACE DOES NOT DO THIS, which is a huge improvement from its past and its competitors. Give this place a chance!!!!

There's something for everyone at Hokkaido Seafood Buffet. Our group of four was seated in a booth, and we each visited the buffet 2-3 times to try different items, not omitting dessert (you have to save room for dessert!). If you want the king crab legs, you might have to wait for the chef to bring out a new batch and outmaneuver the other customers. It's not fine dining, but it's a fun experience, especially if you're willing to be adventurous.

Drove by Hokkaido many times visiting daughter. Decided to try them this trip. For $22.99 I think it's very good! I got Sashimi, lobster claws, jumbo clams, stone crabs, snow crabs, hibachi, plus more. I wanted to try other dishes but I was full

Price for one charged me 25.67 for 3 items at an all you can eat buffet or cold food worst place ever will never recommend or come back

I was fairly happy with this buffet. It's been years since I was here last. I came at a weird time between lunch in dinner after work on a Saturday at 3pm. The majority of the food was filled and staff was keeping up with replacements. The items on the far right seemed to be older and not as hot or fresh. Some was cold. Everything else I had was decent. Habatchi grill is always worth getting and cooked right in front of you. There was a good amount of different sushi to choose from as well. I wasn't sure what my bill would be. It was 3:35 when I finished and know the price changes at 3:30 but got there at 3. They must have a grace period as the time was about 15 mins behind on the bill and still got brunch price. There is the notice outside and on each table about not wasting food or charging more for.

I went for lunch on a Saturday and I was disappointed. The food wasn't fresh. Although there are many options, most of the food is not good. The quality was below average and most foods tasted old. I usually enjoy buffet food but I was ready to leave early this time. They also removed the bananas and chocolate fountain which was one of the interesting things they had. The quality of food kept getting worse every time I go. The only thing I enjoyed was the shrimp. The rest was old or didn't taste good. I don't think I'll be going back again. I do NOT recommend.

This used to be one of our favorite places for sushi. Last night it was not busy at all, but the service was subpar, I ordered a salad and never received it. I was so disappointed because their ginger dressing is by far one of the best or at least it used to be. It's been a while since I've had it. The sushi was good, but the rolls were not rolled real tight (they fell apart, and the pieces of sushi seemed much thinner than they used to be). On the plus side specialty rolls are 40% off Mon-Thurs for dine in so that was a nice bonus! The woman's room can use a good cleaning: the toilets all have huge rings around them and there were fake nails on the bathroom floor along with dirt and grime.

A couple things that are always ordered is the Kaarage, Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki (best in the city), yakisoba or udon, and gyoza. The takoyaki has a crunchy outside and a good flavor (4/5), and the okonomiyaki is pretty filling (4/5); these were the best two. The yaki-udon with shrimp was ok (3/5) but definitely expensive for what it was and the quantity; they also don't add much shrimp, despite the up charge. The sake no shioyaki was below average for salmon (2/5) and very expensive for that amount they give you. Similarly, the onigiri is almost entirely rice if you add salmon (2/5). You order on a tablet, and they bring the food out. Service was ok (3/5); we had empty waters for a while. The restaurant is well-decorated, and you can see the chefs work, which gives it an ambiance somewhat like a hibachi place (4/5). Overall, I think most of the items are pretty expensive for what they are; they don't have the quality or quantity to justify the price.
