Some of the nicest owners ever! We went for the lunch buffet and it was amazing. Fresh naan and curry. I'll definitely go back.

The worst food in Bend! The buffet food was cold, flavors were bland, selection horrible. Nothing good about this place.

Horrible! I will never go back there again. As soon as we walked into the restaurant the waiter was very awkward with everything. For example, as we were eating. Our waiter was standing 4 feet away from our table the whole time just staring at us making it uncomfortable. I asked him if I can help him with anything and he turned his head for a few seconds and continued to stare. We ordered a simple coke. The waiter brings us mt.dew. A simple task was too much to ask from this place. Then after we leave we go to pay and everyone pays the same price but for some reason the jerk tried to charge me for a plate that I never ordered. When I just went in for a buffet meal.the food wasn't even good . DONT EAT HERE! You will INSTANTLY REGRET walking through the doors! read more

One of my favorite places to eat in Bend, especially during winter when it's snowing outside. I usually get the Chicken Makhani and the Lamb stuffed Naan but everything else I've tried has been fantastic. There has been a few occasions where the naan was stale but you just soak up some of their rich and intense sauces and you can barely notice it. Went here for the lunch buffet. It was pretty good. They had the normal selection of fried stuff, 3 types of chicken and tons of potato type action. The yellow rice was pretty good and they had regular white rice there too. No real surprised here except for the fact that there were pretty much NO desserts in the buffet. No pinapple anything, no mango anything, no sweet honey doughballs (forgot what they're called). If there had been a something sweet to finish off lunch I would give it a 4. Still a solid lunch place to get all you can eat for less than 10 bucks. read more

Tasty dinner buffet and live performance (belly dancing) as it was First Friday. My compatriot and I chose to go for the belly dancing. I could see it being a turn-off if you're not into that sort of thing. The buffet is fully loaded with all kinds of meat and vegetable dishes. I'd go again! read more

This has become our go-to place when we visit Bend. They do all you can eat buffet for lunch, dine in dinner and take-out. We did take out our first time coming here and we were blown away with the food and the variety of sauces/soups that came with our meal. It's everything you crave for when you crave Indian cuisine - curry, lemon rice, sides, desserts...you name it! We will be back for the amazing food and the excellent customer service! Stopped here after climbing all day at smith rock. This was exactly what we needed - great Indian food. I ordered a thali paneer tikka masala and he got a thali matar paneer. Both were insanely delicious. The dessert was mind blowing. We ordered an appetizer of vegetable samosa and the sauces they gave were perfect. I thought one was so good I could have drinked it. Love the the food and the owners. My friend and I have been going here for a long time and they always make delicious food. Our favorite snack to get for lunch is there Masala Dosa, but their thali plates are fantastic for dinner. Highly recommend their buffet on Fridays if you've never been, so you can try a bit of everything. read more

Amazing food!! And great staff!! The location is limited, on ambiance and decor, but the amazing food and staff is well worth it. The worst ever experince. We were forced to eat a buffet while we wanted to order customized food. We tried buffet n we hated the hard rice, hard pakorey n palak paneer. Everything tasted bland and tasteless. My 7 year old daughter shouted mommy it tastes like nothing. We decided to leave and they still charged us. We tried the Taj Palace for the first time while visiting Bend for the Christmas holidays. What a wonderful surprise!! Super nice people, very comfortable atmosphere, and WONDERFUL Indian cuisine expertly prepared and served. We've been to many Indian restaurants, all over the country, and this is now one of our top favorites. Still cannot believe it's right here in Central Oregon! So, so great. Even though it was prime dinner time on Saturday night, the host sat us immediately. The server was very friendly, helped us decide what to order (great recommendations). The samosas were perfect and served with three different dips. Lots of great vegetarian options on the menu. We went with one of the kurmas and it had a lovely, complex flavor (some nutmeg, cinnamon, etc.). Also, get the mango lassi! Prices are very reasonable. Ok everything is cold. No steam at the buffet. Even had a bit of raw tandoori chicken. The naan was good but cold and the rice pudding lacked flavor or temperature - it was lukewarm. The food was mostly good but just too cold, no where near hot holding temps. I saw an employee stick her finger into the food to check the temp. I wish I could leave a quarter star. read more

I've eaten here several times, the buffet is a good one to get quick food. I recommend eating there for dinner though, the entrees are awesome and the service is always stellar. They make you feel extremely welcome and the food is very, very good. Love the main guy that is there, he really likes talking to patrons and has a very easy smile and makes you feel great about being there, but not over the top, in a fake way, he is very easy breezy, and nice. Got some take out from here a few years ago. Was just kinda craving Indian, and it was late so didn't have any big expectations. Brought the food back to the hotel and OH MY GOODNESS, it was outstanding. I didn't even know what half of the things were that we got but everything tasted phenomenal. Decided that we had to come back and actually dine in. Few years later here we are and the food is still outstanding. Buffet is delicious, excellent variety. There isn't anything I won't eat that they put out. The staff is very friendly and attentive. This will always be a stop for us in bend. read more

This restaurant is pretty good as far as Indian food goes. They have a buffet with a decent selection of food. Their food is relatively mild for Indian food, but it tastes good. I'd recommend this restaurant if you like Indian food. read more

I love it here. I have usually gone for the buffet, we went on a Friday night and there was no buffet. Totally fine, we'll go with it! Stayed anyway and ordered off the menu. GREAT DECISION! I have always been afraid to order off the menu for fear of not getting the right thing... (Buffet?!) We came in for my 30th birthday with about 10 people. This is the only Indian food place in Bend so we had to give it a try :) we we're pleasantly surprised. We got there a little before 6pm Friday evening which happened to be a dinner buffet night. It was empty and we weren't sure about our choice but the food was pretty good and they were so nice. Soon enough the restaurant was filling up with regulars whom the waiter greeted by name. I do like this place for the buffet lunch with friends. I have only eaten lunch there so can't talk to the rest. The chicken is great and they have enough to select from that everyone will be happy with a couple items. The Nan is good as are the vegitarean options. read more

Went here for Christmas dinner special buffet. What a great meal! We thought the place would be empty. Think again! It was packed. Fortunately we got there when the doors opened so we were the first at the buffet line. Its great to see loads of hot fresh food awaiting your indulgence! It was a topper to a special day. I frequent this restaurant during their lunch buffet, always order a sweet Lassi and hot chutneys.(The lassi should have been served colder that xmas night though). This place is a joy! read more

Came on Friday night. The very friendly owner encouraged us to get the buffet, which was excellent! "I just want to make you happy" he said with a smile. The chicken curry and Malai Kofta were both delicious. My family likes tasty but not hot-spicy food and this was great. A new favorite. read more
