So crunchy and tender on the inside with a marvelous dill ish dipping sauce Calamari fries-9/10- this took some getting used to texturally - you have to bite down and really cut a piece with your front teeth - as it is calamari after all but non the less it, likes its fish tot sister was a perfectly crispy on the outside tender on the inside sensation Fried oyster po boy - 10/10 truly a stand out - the oysters were fried just enough where they still remained tender and briney. The sandwich itself had the perfect amount of sauce to hold it together and just a touch of acid from the relish to keep it elevated and interesting. Shrimp po boy -10/10 Perfectly cooked shrimp and just the sandwich above - the perfect amount of sauce to keep it together without creating a soggy bottom. Super fresh ingredients. You can really tell that the owner put so much heart and intention behind these recipes and creative/ nostalgic inventions. I know excellence when I taste it and this place is just a cut above. Atmosphere: Food truck in a great little pod. The inside has some TV's and a bar. Outside has ample seating as well. Good vibes overall. Food: Food was good. Loved the Steelhead. Pasta was good, although maybe a little oily, but did not detract. Price: Maybe a little steep for the size and being a food cart, but overall pretty reasonable. Service: Food took a bit to be ready, but otherwise service was fine. Parking: Street parking. Could see it being challenging to get a spot but we had no trouble. read more

Run, do NOT walk to this place! If the question is what's good? The simple answer is, everything. We had the calamari, fishballs, fish 'n chip sandwich, steelhead fish tacos, and the shrimp scampi. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that we found them passing through town and I can't take them to my hometown. My boyfriend and I love raw oysters. We visited here twice during our vacation for a three day weekend (we're from Seattle). After our second visit, my boyfriend got sick with food poisoning about 3-4 hours later (this was during our drive back home and had to keep stopping). My symptoms happened early the next day. We both had excruciating abdominal pain, fevers, and the runs for about 5 days. I couldn't go to work and stayed in bed that work week. The oyster shooters were the only common food we both had that day. (I've never gotten sick from raw oysters before). We did not get sick the first time around but the second time we did. I think it was a bad batch of oysters we received, or it was handled improperly, or sometimes this can happen because it's raw. I mean the oyster shooters we had were still pretty good... read more

My go-to spot in Bend for the best, fresh (not cooked from frozen like many other places!!) seafood. It is always delicious, really well made - best tacos in town in my humble opinion. Yes it gets busy on this food truck lot occasionally during lunch hour (it affects all the food trucks there) so I aim to pick up my food either a bit earlier or later, after the peak. First time here. We got there right when they opened and got oysters which were pretty good. Pricey (almost San Francisco prices). There was a single man working who seemed overwhelmed once the lunch rush started. I tried ordering more items an hour later and he said the wait time would be at least 30 mins. I still wanted to order since we were just hanging out having beers but everything I wanted was already out so I just gave up. Sad because I wanted to try the other foods. Never got a text when my food was ready even tho I confirmed my phone number. 40 min later I returned to the truck to be told my food had been waiting the whole time. I told the young girl my fish was cold and she offered to put it under a heater and replace the tacos. She did not replace the tacos. I asked for a napkin and she said help myself.... I had to reach into the kitchen to grab a paper towel. No idea why the service was so bad I was excited to try this place. The fish was good but cold and the tortillas were at this point rock hard around the rims. First of all, their order counter is facing the street, not the one in the back (for pick-up). A couple and I were standing there for a good two minutes before realizing that. Doh! I ordered the fish tacos and liked them. The fish was fresh and the panko breading was very crunchy. There was quite a lot of fish, and that was nice. However, after tasting their tacos I realized that I prefer the airy beer batter over the panko batter. As a panko lover, I never thought I'd say that, but it's true. I like my tacos Baja style for some reason. We also ordered two oyster shots and I really enjoyed those. They were fresh and delicious, I should have ordered more! This has consistently been the absolute best oysters in bend. Way better than 900 wall. Way better than zydeco. And even more enjoyable to a strong runner up Bos Taurus. Loved this little place! My fiancé wanted a breakfast burrito but I was dying for some seafood...we were able to sit at a nice bench outside with our dogs while he enjoyed his food, and I ordered from here. I had about a 15 min wait before ordering while they caught up, but they were super sweet and grateful for everyone's patience so it was no big deal at all. I never know how to order within reason so I naturally got myself 6 (what was I thinking!?) oyster shooters and they were fresh and delicious with the tangy cocktail sauce, lemon and horseradish. The oysters they serve are BIG. I'm a texture gal so by the 6th one, I'd given myself the heebie jeebies lol because it was a LOT. That's on me though. Shrimp cocktail was fresh and delicious as always. And the shishito peppers were super yummy with the spicy aioli. Price is good, customer service is good, and the overall setup is nice. Plus, when I went to get to-go boxes the guy addressed me by name even though he hadn't been the one to take my order...was just a sweet and personable touch. Glancing at the menu, the steelhead caught my eye. Not sure if I ever had it before. And you really can't beat a fish sandwich. This one came with horseradish, too. A unique touch. This was my second encounter at this food truck. On the first encounter I learned that fish and chips doesn't mean that you get fries with that sandwich. No was told that it really just refers to the style of fish which is a planko coating. Delicious for sure, but misleading description. I am pretty sure 99 out of 100 restaurants who offer fish and chips serve some sort of potatoe. Nothing here. On my second encounter I walked to this place and arrived 20 minutes before noon only to find out that the website is incorrect. Website says open at 11 but sign on the door says 12. The owner said she was moving in that direction, but business wasn't good enough to warrant opening that early. When I told her that her website was incorrect she made no apology nor attempt to accommodate. They are fairly active on FB. Would be really easy to change their posted hours. read more

Why is it so hard to sell a good product if that's what your business relies on. A crab melt of all things with bread that is stale and soggy at the same time. Bread with the crab melt is pretty important. The bread had dimples in it and hard edges like it had been sitting for too long, just disappointing. Crab was doused with too much sauce too. Just sucks you can't find good food anymore in Bend except for a few select places.. and for $25.. the coleslaw had some nice flavor at least. read more

Minus three stars for cheap Costco-style hot dog bun for the Po' Boy "roll" and the outrageous prices charged for everything. I can't imagine the sustainability of $31 lunches consisting of an 8 oz "bowl" of chowder and a tiny Po' Boy. At least invest in some good local rolls for your Po' Boys! read more
