I had never been to a Take 5 before, but after today, I'll definitely be coming back--and recommending it to everyone I know. From the moment I arrived, Jacob and Q went above and beyond. I had just left Firestone, where I was quoted over $150 and told it would take at least an hour and a half. I headed over to Take 5, unsure of what to expect, and was immediately blown away by the professionalism and kindness of the team. Even though I didn't get there until around 7:15 PM (they close at 8 on the day I went), they welcomed me without hesitation and took the time to walk me through everything with patience and respect. As someone who doesn't know much about cars, I never once felt talked down to or rushed. Jacob took the time to explain everything clearly--what kind of oil my car actually needs, why it matters, and even pointed out that the last place I'd been using the wrong oil, which explained why my engine had been noisier and less responsive. When he suggested I replace my air filter, I was initially skeptical--thinking it might be one of those upsell tactics. But then literal fall leaves came tumbling out of the old one! He explained the typical replacement schedule and made me feel empowered with knowledge rather than pressured to spend more. On top of that, they topped off my windshield wiper fluid (which had been bone dry), added air to my tires, and made sure everything was in great shape. What really stood out to me was how genuine their care was. Jacob especially took the time to answer all of my questions, explaining oil types and long-term effects in a way that made sense to me. As someone who works in retail, I know good customer service when I see it--and this was beyond good. Two bays two guys one technician.. that's what I experienced on my arrival and departure. A car pulled into bay 1 and I pulled into bay 2 in my eyes they advertised 10 mins.. do you know one guy worked on the first car and the other one twiddled his thumbs the whole time..all he did was grab the oil for buddy. I also have to be at work I pulled into the bay at like 9:12 it was 9:35 I pulled off before anybody asked me what kind of oil change I needed. I visited this location a little over a year ago (yes, I procrastinated on the review), but the experience was so bad it's stuck with me--and I still warn people to steer clear. I came in for a basic oil change, but they barely secured the oil filter. As a result, my vehicle was leaking oil badly. When I finally tracked down the issue, the filter was so loose I'm honestly shocked I hadn't lost all my oil. It was three quarts low. Needless to say, I'll never return to this location. Do not use this company they kept saying they were attaching my skid plate that's what was taking so long however that's not the case. My son noticed there was scrubbing when he got in the car to drive it the very next day. They begged me not to take it to any other place to have it checked out so I didn't I took it back to them. They tried to put the blame on my son saying that he hit something. That wasn't the case at all after seeing them put a zip tie under my car to hold on my skid plate I took my car to jiffy lube. They've checked my car free and told me that they only put two pins in to hold my oil pan skid plate on when they're supposed to be 12 to 16. They lied to me and they took parts from my car that they shouldn't have because you cannot put a skid plate back on with two pins one on each corner it leaves a gap in the front that drags. They're just lying lying lying dirty dogs. Jiffy lube put every single pin in there for me free. Go to jiffy lube they'll do you right they won't take parts off your car then lie to you when you damage your skid plate. My car has 36,652 mi on it. Jiffy lube has done my oil changes for every oil change except one so they knew that I had all my pins there ​ read more

Came in for an oil change after work and was immediately serviced. I was offered a cold bottle of water upon arrival which was very nice. I'm not too familiar with cars so the guy was able to make a recommendation of what type of oil to use in my car and was quick and efficient which was nice because I was ready to go home and hate getting my car serviced. Before I left, he noticed that the tread was showing on my tires and notified me of that for my safety as well (didn't try to sell me anything and even took a picture for me so I could see). While Jose was very nice, professional and courteous I felt like he manipulated the situation. By this I mean, I was confused about how to enter so he knew (and asked) it was my first time there. After opening my hood, he instantly eyeballed my coolant being dirty and needed to be flushed. I asked the price and told him I would wait on that. He acknowledged and proceeded to look at the oil. He showed me the stick (unbeknownst to him I am more aware than I appeared), level and stated that if it were his car, since levels were good, he would not change it. I stated to him that my maintenance sign appeared which indicates the change and he said he would not want to charge me for that when it doesn't need it. Well why does it need it every other time? He stated he would top my fluids, opened 1 container and filled it. I believe it was the washer fluid and I also believe it was to leave time to ponder over the flush. For obvious reasons, I obliged thinking it could contribute to the maintenance trigger. I overheard him ask the guy performing the flush if all OEM (which I am familiar with) take pink coolant. Well I knew that mine was pink so did it really need a flush? It wasn't dirty, it was pink as it should have been. I had already paid of course and still felt uneasy about my oil not being changed. Jose placed a sticker for my next alert and showed me out. When I arrived to my destination, still feeling uneasy, I researched and sure enough, if the manufacturer states the oil should be changed based on mileage, CHANGE IT as the oil could break down. I even asked him if the filter could be dirty but he said no. Didn't quite sound right. Moral of my story, believe in what you know. I did not want to ignore my maintenance signal, so hasty to be proactive yet never again to an unfamiliar business. I thought he should have take better care of me not extend the "damsel in distress syndrome". Jose in Smyrna do better by your patrons. *Sighs* Imagine going to a place called Take 5 then finally leaving about an hour after pulling up. This has happened to me before at the Lilburn location, but I let it slide since I don't have to leave my car while the oil is being changed. The workers here are friendly and knowledgeable, but dang, a little on the slow side. I'll stick to Tucker location for now on. I only came here because Jet's Pizza is up the road. Hadn't heard of Take 5 until recently when I was driving down Johnson Ferry Rd and saw one. Now I see them more frequently. This one sits off Roswell rd right before you get to Publix. Opted to come here bc I needed an oil change and there wasn't an Express nearby. This spot is unique bc you have to drive to the back to get serviced. FYI - DRIVE TO THE BACK. They keep their front bay doors down purposefully so you know to drive to the back. There is not a waiting area here, so you sit in your car while being serviced (that sounded wrong ). They also do emissions here, which ended up working out great for me (I needed that as well). The people were very friendly, one guy looked like he loved his job a ton. The lady that helped me out was great. I did have to wait a bit but I was happy to get my oil done on a Saturday afternoon without a crazy wait time plus I passed my emissions! My only downfall here is pricing and no wait area (although I feel like they have to go quicker bc of that fact). The oil options ranged from $35-$60. That's the most I've ever paid for an oil change. If you have the money this is a good stop. Since it's close to my place, I might use them again in the future. read more

I visited this location one week ago. I pulled in behind another vehicle and in the other bay there were two cars one being serviced. The guy with a mouth full of gold teeth greeted me and asked me if I was there for an oil change and then walked away. I was thinking this is an oil change business. I kept seeing individuals going in and out of the office, one being a young lady carrying a broom, never to see her sweep anything. I waited for over 10 minutes watching a young man in the other bay keep staring at an oil dip stick like it was going to tell him how much oil the vehicle needed. I then pulled up the reviews on this location and none seemed good. I decided based on the reviews and what was being observed, I backed up and left and will not return to this location. No one seemed the least concerned other than the other vehicle that was pulling into the other bay. read more

They had to reimburse me $119 because I went in for an oil change and a few days later my driveway is covered in oil. I took my truck to my usual mechanic and he said that my oil filter was loose. They were supposed to change my oil and give me a new oil filter. My mechanic said they didn't change my oil filter at all and to make things worse, THEY DIDNT EVEN CHANGE MY OIL! My mechanic charged me $75 for another oil change, filter and diagnostic. He was more thorough and cheaper. I went back to take 5 to get my money back. The manager kit up a cigarette while listening to me, asked for my mileage. I told him and he asked if he could personally check, as if I would lie about it... He proceeds to stick his head in my car with his cigarette to look at my mileage. I got a check a week later and will never make that mistake again. read more

The wait was about an hour on a nice sunny Saturday. You get to stay in your car and they show you everything that's being done. They also shout out things, like when they change the oil, replace the oil cap and at the end they show you your oil level. I guess it's piece of mind knowing they did indeed change your oil! If you go on their website there is a coupon for $15 off any oil change. With tax and coupon, a full synthetic oil change was about $83. I would definitely return. read more

The point of this place is good customer service and fast service, and while the workers are friendly they don't work fast at all.
