I just left this location without getting service because of the way I was treated by an employee named Alex. From the moment he greeted me, he was rude and condescending. He asked if it was my first time there. I told him no, that I had been there before. He then said, "Oh, because you were just waiting back there." I explained that I was waiting because there were cones up and he was already assisting another customer. Instead of simply helping me, he responded with, "We've had those cones since 1988," in a sarcastic tone. At that point, I asked for someone else to assist me because I wasn't there to argue--I was there to get an oil change. Unfortunately, Alex continued with his smart remarks and unprofessional attitude. I was speaking Spanish on the phone with a friend before our interaction, and I couldn't help but feel like I was treated differently because I'm Latina. Whether that was the reason or not, that's how the experience made me feel. I left and took my business to Jiffy Lube in Seminole instead, where I told them what had happened. Alex's behavior is the reason I will never return to this location. Customer service like this is completely unacceptable. read more

Been going there for years same location. This time will be my last. The guy almost destroyed my air filter cover literally pulling on it. They never showed me the oil on the dip stick. Told me they topped off my windshield wiper fluid and they never touched it. Never even touched the tires to check them. And when I asked about it he lied to my face and told me they checked them. Left dirty hand prints on my truck never even tried to wipe it down. I have never got that bad of service there but will not go back. Added a photo of the amount of oil they put in. This should be a crime to defraud the people who you serve! read more

What happened to this place? Brought the car in for an oil change on August 3, 2023. August 20, 2023 my vehicle started to overheat. I was able to get home and I opened the hood I noticed that the coolant reservoir cap was not on. The cap was sitting within some wires next to the reservoir. By the grace of God the cap stayed in place and did not go flying in to my engine. Over the 17 day period of that cap not being on, all the coolant evaporated causing the vehicle to overheat. Because of this gross negligence, I was unable to take my child to school or get to work on time the next day as I had arrived home late the night before. The vehicle takes DexCool coolant the auto parts stores were closed. There's was no way I was going to drive this vehicle again knowing that there is no coolant in it. As this is our only vehicle, I had to Uber to the auto parts store get the correct coolant, Uber back to my home and ended up getting to work an hour late. This could have potentially become a big disaster had I not checked. I spent over $200 on this oil change. I ended up getting the filters changed out and such. I also had to shell money for two Uber rides (had no one to drive me to auto parts store) and for a gallon of coolant. This could have caused a massive hardship on our family. Update: After contacting corporate we were offered a full refund for their terrible mistake. Even though they made it right, I will still leave my review. I read reviews where similar mistakes occurred. People should be aware. Update 9/22: We still have not received our refund from take 5. As a result I am removing a star. read more

I recently visited Take 5 Oil Change and had a frustrating experience. Despite a significant wait time--over an hour just to get attended to--the staff seemed to focus on one car at a time, ignoring the growing line. When it was finally my turn, I requested a fuel filter installation, but was told to come back another hour due to their backlog. This made no sense, as I had already waited so long, and it felt unfair to be asked to return simply because they were understaffed. It's not my fault that they're backed up, and it felt like my time was not respected. Additionally, communication was lacking, and it was difficult to get clear answers from the staff. If I could do 0 stars I would. This company is a scam. I got my oil changed on Monday December 22. On Christmas Eve when we pulled up to our hotel I noticed the car was smoking and my oil engine cap was off. I called for claims and of course they don't do it it's a third party vendor. On the 26th I HAD to call them back to get my car towed to once of their midas shops. Then Midas had to order my cap so then we had to pay out of pocket for another night in Orlando. I finally get a callback today just for them to say no they cannot reimburse me. Unprofessional and unreliable. From my recent experience I will forever tell everyone DO NOT GO TO TAKE 5. If you call them they can give you a $10 off coupon. 5 and 1/2 quarts of synthetic which is pretty much a standard oil change these days is going to run you. 80 so definitely do not forget to place the phone call for the coupon- you may have to sign up for some recurring marketing emails but you can always unsubscribe. The people at this take five oil are the absolute best! I've been to this location maybe 2-3 times and I swear each time is better than the last. Whether it's an oil change or cabin filter replacement, they always make sure to explain it in a way that is clear and easy to understand. I've never been there longer than 20 minutes but it genuinely feels like 5 minutes. The value of being able to stay in my car while getting these services done is soooo much more than going to the dealership when i have to wait 10x longer. would and will recommend this location to everyone i know! read more

The mechanics are always so friendly and they make to fill up and check every fluid, tire pressures, sensors, everything. If they see something, they let you know. Fast oil change. Very polite technicians. As soon as one comes out to your car, they hand you a cold bottle of water, nice touch. The only downside would be in their attempts to upsell you. I had to tell the gentleman who was taking my information, on three separate occasions that I wanted the lower cost oil change. I guess they have to go through their whole script before they understand that you don't want to be up sold. I received a seven dollar off coupon online before I went. Every time I use take 5 I am pleasantly surprised at how awesome the techs are. Jaray even stayed 20 mins past his shift to help me with my ac filter which was difficult to remove and put back. Take 5 is a friendly, efficient, awesome business! I could not be happier. We recieve free oil changes at the Clearwater Florida Ford dealer (not Walker) where we purchased our latest Ford Transit. My first oil change at the Ford dealer service department took 3.5 hours and the service advisor spent 15 minutes trying to upsell me services for a vehicle with 6000 miles on it. I left without getting an oil change (after 4 hours) on my second appointment at Ford. Never again!!! I just got a synthetic oil change for $60 they were done in 7 minutes and the mechanic and girl who wrote the ticket were super friendly and competent. Well done Take 5 Oil Change Store #0087! GO AT YOUR OWN RISK! got oil change here a month ago, they didnt give me a new sticker that says when next oil change due, they took the little green caps i had on my tires off and never put them back on, then my brand new car said engine oil low. so i got a napkin i pull out my dip stick and sure enough my car was bone dry no oil what so ever. i called up here and they told me to come up there and they'll top me off. so i drove all the way back out there for them to put more oil in my car, of course there was no supervisor up there. so i start calling everyday to speak to the supervisor, i leave a message for him to call me back still no response. if you care about your car i wouldnt bring it here. i spent almost a hundred dollars on an oil change i never received. my car could have locked up. very unhappy customer. So, this is a longer post than I originally thought, so for those that don't care for the details; here's the short of it: DO recommend. Great service. Fast. The guys were friendly and professional. Will return! Okay, I wanna tell you a little story before I get to my review of Take 5 Oil Change. I have been weeelllll over due for an oil change and after work today my car was driving a little funny so I figured I might as well get that handled on my way home. I pulled into one of the drive up oil change spots about 4:50 just behind another car. I smiled at the employee approaching the other car and waited patiently while he carried on his consultation. As he came to my car he mumbled something and asked what I needed. I told him an oil change and his response was "well we close in five minutes but okay". I'm just going to pause there a moment.... I think to myself 'but you're open RIGHT NOW though....?' So he tells me to go inside and as I'm sitting there I see what looks like the menu starting at $44.99 (ish) so I go find an employee to confirm if I'm reading it right, I am, so I tell them nevermind. I wasn't expecting it to be that much... I catch the original guy as he's pulling my car around and I tell him that's more than I thought I'm just going to go somewhere else. To which he replies "well you're not going to find it any cheaper". Um what??? Get out of my car dude. "Go home early" I told him. "There's plenty of places cheaper". So I continued down the road and saw another drive up place - Take 5. I pull up and I'm immediately greeted by Josh, with a smile. I ask how much their oil change is. $43(ish) I'm thinking "ehhh" but then he tells me how their service is different with the free fluid top offs and tire air (which I need all the time!) so I figure fine I'm here I'll just pay it. So I stay in my car and pull myself up into the bay and the cashier (maybe named Russell) greets me and offers me a bottle of water. Turn off my car and he gets my info as another guy (maybe named Russell also) works on my oil change. Every one there was super cool and friendly. The cashier offered to check my air filter for me so while he was doing that I notice a sign on the wall that says "$12 off oil change with a fast food receipt" ...I asked if that was for real?! Yep. Thankfully I hadn't cleaned the car yet (my next stop!). I kept looking around and there's coupons/discounts everywhere! It's like they're just trying to save you money! My sticker had a $3 off blades (also need those). There was another for I think $10 off the air filter. One for $1 off visit for leaving a review online. Which is totally why I'm leaving a review! Because I WILL be going back to them and I like saving $ :) So on the way to get an oil change I actually practiced saying "no, just the oil change. I don't need anything else" because whenever I get my oil changed it comes with the laundry list of other things "I need". I hate it. Here, the guys showed me my filters. That's all! Then he explained to me "in a way a girl can understand" (haha) what was happening and said he always keeps them in stock when ever I decide I want to change it. No pressure at all! Perfect! I discovered that another oil change shop had not properly applied a valve when completing the work. I didn't discover this until I was 20 miles away at work and my husband called me to say the oil had leaked out on our garage floor overnight. He was worried about me driving home. I called Take 5 Oil change nearest my office on Roosevelt and the Tech 'Jose ' answered and told me to bring my car in. He quickly found the problem and resolved it.
