I was at this location back in March for an oil change. The service tech came out after my car being serviced and told me my battery was bad. I informed him that I had replaced the battery at this location a year and a half before. The tech then walked out to where my car was, came back 15 minutes later to tell me he checked the battery again and it was fine. Highly suspect! My wife's car was overdue for an oil change, so I drove to the nearest Jiffy Lube on East Bay Dr. After I pulled into the back, I waited a few minutes until someone came up to my window. I asked how much an oil change would be for my wife's vehicle with regular 5/30 oil. I was told that the oil change runs from $44-$110 depending on the oil. I again told this representative that it was 5/30 oil and due to it being a larger engine takes over 6 quarts of oil. He told me rather gruffly It's $6 per quart over 5 quarts. Ok then how much will my oil change cost? At this point he told me he would not be able to give me a quote until after the work is done. WHAT!! Are you kidding me. I very nicely said goodbye and drove away. Message to owner: train your staff to be efficient in giving a price quote. They were knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and were very patient with me while on the phone with my father (I know nothing about cars). Jiffy Lube East Bay, Clearwater changed my serpentine belt recently and less than a week later my car started making a horrible flapping sound. I called JL and they told me if it was the belt my car would not be running and made no indication I should bring the car back to them. I had the car repaired elsewhere (it was the serpentine belt). I went back to JL with the shredded belt they had installed and they refused to refund my money for a mistake they made. I will never return to this location and will not recommend them to anyone. Just drove across the country to move to the area and knew I wanted to get a lot of work done on my vehicle. Drove to the back of this location where my navigation told me and there was a entrance but was blocked by two vehicle. ( I believe they were the employees) so drove back to the front. There was another entrance but this was also blocked by a vehicle facing out so I drove around the to the back from the front side of the store. Sat in the back for a few minutes and saw three different employees look right me but all three just stayed at the one vehicle they were working on. At this time the truck that was blocking the entrance drove off and an employee came to my vehicle. Instead of the usually politeness you get when arriving I was asked " need something" by an employee who seemed pissed that I was there. I said that I need a oil change and he stated for me to pull into bay but then stated that his entrance is right in front of me. I then told him that is was ok and I can go somewhere else . I stopped in this afternoon as my engine and service light were both on in addition to my tire pressure low. I had my tires filled up at another garage a while back and the light never went off. My son is going to drive my car for a trip to the mountains and I wanted to ensure I wasn't missing something. The manager filled up my tires, topped off all my fluids, and did not charge me a dime, just asked that I consider coming there for my next service or oil change. I was not even a previous customer before! He told me if the engine light did not turn back off it may be a bad sensor which he could fix it and run a diagnostic to ensure my car is good to go for a long road trip! I went to get my corporate oil change done here and the service was excellent! The manager noticed that my engine shield bolts weren't tight and one had fell out already. The other bolt was about to fall out as well from the last place I had the oil changed at. He just wanted me to be aware of it and replaced the missing bolt for me. Excellent and fast service. Sooooo....I notice Sunday morning from homestead my car was acting up . It felt like transmission. Went to auto zone to check with there computer . It stated 3gear out of ration . Then I look at the dip stick for transmission it was completely dry. Btw Friday I did go to jiffy lube first before I travel. Did oil change ask to inspect my car to make sure everything ok . They said everything was fine however they had me over an hr. They forgot to tel me that they thought they had the filter and they had to order , also notice some bolt are missing . Before the transmission had issue I had transmission flush less then 30 days ago. At same same jiffy lube. The only thing they said was everyone is new and learning . I'm like really like really . So I decided to call main corporation and now they pretty much told me I shouldn't drive for next couple days till they call back. Now that pissed me off. I recommend never getting anything done to your car at this location. On one occasion my air filter was jammed in upside down and pinched in the casing, barely holding it closed. They also broke off the bar that holds my hood open and never told me about it. They list services rendered on the receipt that aren't actually performed. After a lengthy discussion with a very unprofessional manager about a refund, I was told he could give me 5 bucks or I could come back for them to complete the unfinished things?!? They advertise $19.99 oil change and I indicated base/conventional oil when they took my truck. Guy tells me after initial assessment when they have it in a bay that it will be $60! I moved to the area earlier this week and wanted to have my oil changed after the drive down from NY. I had also had some crazy noises coming from the front passenger side. JC and his crew went out of their way to do everything they could to take care of as much of it as they were able in their location. I left with a car that doesn't make noise anymore, suggestions for four good local restaurants, a good beach, and the name and address for a local garage that can take care of my AC issue. This location has no professionalism, no pride, and no goal to get you in and out quickly. Came in to change filter and oil. Specifically said I was bringing my own which is full synthetic. At the end of the service I was told they forgot to use mine and simply used theirs, which was regular. I'm disappointed at the fact they couldn't complete a simple task properly. While I was in town helping my grandmother out, I took in her car here for an oil change since it was on the way between other errands. The cashier clerk was nice, but the mechanics were sloppy and unprofessional. The air filter in the car needs to be accessed through the glove compartment, and when the car was 'ready', the air filter (and all of the content of the glove compartment) was left on the front passenger seat. I know about the Etiquette of car service, and leaving content from a glove compartment out on a seat is not a part of proper etiquette. Neither is refusing to do a final pass on the vehicle with the customer. The technician, John, came out after I asked the clerk about the air filter sitting on the passenger seat. He installed it, but when I asked to do the check, he refused, saying "I've got other vehicles to do", and neglected to return the glove compartment contents to the glove compartment. Even though this was a one-time visit, as I'm from the midland, this kind of lack of professionalism and sloppy service is fairly disgusting. I feel sorry for the nice clerk, since she seems to be more on top of things than her co-workers. read more

Can't say Im thrilled with this place. I gave two stars because one guy that walked me out to my car was very nice and I was allowed to bring my dog. So that's the good. Now I paid 41+ for all these services including vaccuuming my car. I only got the driver side vaccuumed. So i dont feel like i got everything out of the deal. It was the bare minimum. The least the techs could do, the better for them. I didnt feel customer service was number one because they took my car and i didnt even tell them which service i wanted or discussed the prices with ANYONE before they started. Next time I will definitely take it to Havoline and get the same done for $20. And further inspection they didnt clean my windows read more

And they didn't forget the sticker that let's me know when I'm due again like other place have in the past. Plus the sticker was kind neat it was printed and not hand written honestly I'd rather pay just a little bit more to get that kind of treatment. Of course they tried to sell me on an air filter that they showed me was clearly dirty. I did decline but they didn't press me or anything. I went to the Jiffy Lube in Clearwater Florida on East Bay Drive. My experience was very good. I have a Volvo and I knew what to expect with my oil change. Steve the manager and tech was great. He apologized right at the bat due to also training a new guy and having a computer problem. Hey. These things happen and I was ok with that. Once everything was smooth again I was in and out in a Jiffy. Lol. I love the fact that they let you know how the car is and if you need anything like a tire rotation etc.they provide that service. Good to know. And people,it's like any other business. They have to up sell but only if you really need it. You can always say no. Remember McDonald's? Would you like extra big fries with that? So overall I like this location and will make it my pit stop read more
