I am so upset on this MEMORIAL DAY weekend. I sent my 16 y/o to this location for an oil change on his Toyota Corolla. We are a VETERAN family and I have been told several times that it's noted in our account. My 16 y/o was recommended the most expensive option and told he needed several additions to his service. He was quoted well over $100 for a Corolla. I called and spoke to someone and asked for the least expensive oil change and thats it. I was told that he would need his veterans ID. I told the gentleman that all of us meaning, three other cars bring our cars there and if I did not have the ID it's always been noted in the account. He said that was not sufficient and did not offer or mention the additional coupons that I found online after my son left. Fine, I understand that anyone can come in and say they are a veteran. But as I stated, I have been told several times that it's been noted in the account. Most reputable businesses will offer the coupon that they have and this also was not offered. This location just lost four cars. I am aware that in the grand scheme of things for cars means nothing to this business. But I will be informing all of the veteran communities as well as the other community organizations in the Cypress area. Happy Memorial Day. read more

I went here on my lunch break hoping for a fast turn around to get back as I've been to other locations and never had a problem. Although I did have great service and kind team members, it took longer than expected! I think I was second in line but because I was behind a car that was getting multiple services, I was waiting a while. They did have two garages in which I thought I would be asked to move to the garage that was empty, but another car pulled up and they started servicing that car instead of me. Therefore I was still stuck waiting. I am usually patient but from my work, it took me 8 mins and if I'm waiting 30 and take 8 to get back and all have to consider time to the the job, that bothered me a little. This is nothing I feel would make me not recommend this place. Things happen. I'm very understanding and the team corrected the action pretty quickly. They offered a great coupon online and stacked coupons because I'm a ride share driver. This was very kind and considerate and I appreciated the effort. Of course I will come back. No harm was done and once I did finally get into the garage, my service was swift and quick. Thank you team for helping me out. Fingers crossed it was just a one time fluke! read more

I've always enjoyed coming here. Price is high but I always use a coupon so that helps. I always have a different worker but they are always professional and helpful. There's no pressure to buy this or that. But one thing about different employees also means different practices. Most the time it's solid service and everything which's fine. But this is second time I've come and with a few cars waiting and I feel there some "misdirection" If one car is in the bay and another one just pulls in, shouldn't I be behind the car that's been in the bay longer? Not the case here. I'm directed to go behind the car who just pulled in. 6-7 mins later a car pulls behind the person that's been in the bay longer So this means my 20-25 min wait is turning into a 35-40 minute wait. Which isn't fair if I was here before the other vehicle. I guess next time I should say something but I feel like employees should have better practice on these kind of things. I made an appointment for 5pm and the guy said they don't really do appointments. I asked why is there an option to make them then. He said he doesn't know, but I could wait. Why have it as an option if you don't honor appointment times? People make appointments because they have other things to do than wait in a line. I went to Take 5 at the end of a very busy Saturday. Ty greeted me with SUCH a friendly demeanor and made sure my day was going well. His bubbly personality remained during my oil change, which is wild because is over 100° outside. Chase put air in my tires, showed me my oil level after completion, and also helped me Reset my oil change alert in my car, which I honestly never knew how to do lol. I got an oil change last month on my Tahoe. The staff was very friendly and it was relatively quick (around 25 minutes in and out). I few weeks later I noticed I was dripping oil on my garage floor. I started watching it and it got to be more and more. Mind you, this is a new 2024 car. I took it into the Chevrolet dealer and they said the oil filter was not installed properly and was dripping. It ended up costing me an additional $185. I would give one star, however, the staff was very friendly. I will definitely not use this place again. read more

First time coming to this location. I came on a weekday afternoon, there was no line or wait. I was immediately greeted and asked to bring the car in. The 3 gentlemen there were all very kind and helpful. I didn't feel like they were trying to sell, just giving good customer service. Service was completed pretty quickly, which was a plus for me as I had my kid with me. With the coupon I spent about $84 for premium, I think the customer service is what sold me. I took my car for an oil change on 8/23/2024 and while there a tech cracked my coolant outlet housing which sits right on top of the oil filter housing. As a result the coolant was leaking and my engine was running without coolant. I was unaware until my car started to malfunction on 9/4/2024. I made a claim and was denied because Take 5 said they couldn't prove liability even though the techs admitted to making this mistake and the information was reinforced by the diagnostics results. I've had to pay about $1000 to fix the damages Take 5 caused. While I was waiting on the tow truck at Take 5 two other vehicles came to the business to report damages caused. When the tow truck arrived they informed me that I was the second car they've towed that week from that specific location due to Take 5 damaging the vehicle. Every time I've come to this location they've taken care of me. The wait isn't a problem since they tend to have the cars flowing in a timely manner. If you have your own oil, then they can change it and just charge a service fee. read more

This is the second time I've shown up with 45 minutes to an hour before closing. There's 2-3 cars in line and I'm told they can't get to me today. If you market an oil change taking 5 minutes (even 10 for the sake of this discussion) you should finish those 2-3 cars with plenty of time to still get my oil change done. Went for emissions test. Gave coupon for oil change (coupon was already expired) and they don't answer the phone here. I went days in a row trying to get inspection and emissions test trying to catch the person who does the emissions test while they were working because they are not available everyday. They claim machine broke conveniently once their line started to get backed up. But to give an expired coupon for a service that you were aware I was not even coming in for deserves an ass kicking after the amount of time I spent waiting for non-service on multiple occasions. Absolutely terrible! I purchased windshield wipers. Within weeks of them being installed they flew off in the freeway while it was raining. I had to pullover then go to the nearest about parts store to replace. Tried calling the corporate number and was n hold for over 20 minutes. A week later while driving in the rain again the back wiper fell off. I went directly to the Take 5 where I purchased them. They replaced the back wiper but just told me to call the 800 number about the front wipers I called before to file a complaint. No offer for a refund or reimbursemen. The employees themselves were polite but the manager was of no help and did not seemed concerned. read more

Got my oil changed Monday 3/11/24 in my Dodge Ram 1500. Driving around on Tuesday I noticed my truck not running the same. So again Wednesday evening I noticed the same thing only this time when I started it up I noticed it was smoking ( white smoke out of the tailpipes) So I took it in to the mechanic shop I usually go to. So he asked me did you recently get an oil change. I said yes on Monday, he said now we no why you truck is smoking. Take 5 had put 3 quarts over what my truck requires this could have ruined my engine. So make sure you check for yourself if you after an oil change from this place. And yes they showed me the dip stick to see if it was was full. But they have their hand or rag right at the full line so that's all you see. I won't trust this place again. Troy at take 5 disconnected a small hose that is connected to the housing near the air filter while trying to up sale me on purchasing a new air filter from them which is fine. The issue is that when I turned my car on and saw all of the sudden the check engine light is on and and the auto lsd light was blinking and then Troy got on his phone googled why the light was on and told me that I might've pressed a button in the car and after driving to Toyota they told me that Troy didn't connect the hose back to the housing and said that me and my son is lucky that we came to Toyota because our lives could've been in driving like this. My husband and I have been bringing both vehicles here and had no problems until today. Jose walks up to our car window without a mask, while inside we are masked waiting for him to mask up so we can roll the window down. He just stares. I asked him to please put on his mask. He said, "sorry ma'am", and continued to stare. My husband asks him through the sun roof to put a mask on so I can roll the window down. He just smirks and continues to stare at me. We tried to get the attention of the other 2 guys that usually give us wonderful service, but they were focused on what they were doing. One of them had a mask on.
