I began bringing both of my Lexus cars to Kwik Kar a few years ago. I had oil changes and tire rotations much faster than the Lexus dealership. Recently, I brought my LS-430 to Kwik Kar for a tire rotation. When the technician was finished and he brought the car outside, there was a loud thumping sound. He took the car back inside to the shop and worked on it again. He said he didn't have the lug nuts on correctly. I then looked at the wheels and noticed a broken plastic hub cap. I pointed this out to the technician. He said he would order one and replace it. I told him he should have removed the plastic hub cap before removing the lug nuts and rotating the tires. This was an obvious procedure. After I got home, I noticed another broken hub cap. I called Kwik Kar and told the supervisor. I asked where he bought the hub cap so I could order one. I told him I would pay for the second hub cap because I didn't notice it before I left the shop earlier. I never received a call back. Kwik Kar has lost a customer. I will now take the car to the Lexus dealer for service. The wait is longer and the price is higher, but the care and quality is better. read more

During the time I waited I noticed two other customers in the waiting area, waiting on their cars to be done. This exact shop passed my car last yr no problem. I bring it back today the exact same way it was last year just a few more mile. I have a kid call me and tell me it didn't pass that I needed to drive it though a drive cycle but has not clue what a drive cycle is when I ask. This car is a 2017 with 18k miles on its I would imagine it's been though a few "drive cycles". Then charge me instead of saying "hey man go figure out the code and come back". I brought my car in for a state inspection, everything passed except the headlights due to cloudiness.. you need to be able to see 300 ft in front of you at NIGHT.. it was 11:30 am when I came to them! I have been taking my car and truck in for several years with Quick and fast friendly service, but not today. It has always taken 15 minutes or less for a inspection,today it to over 30 minutes due to the tech leaving to check on another vehicle for free, I looked into the service Bay and no one was around my car it was just sitting there! No one around I asked the Bald headed tech, I call him that because he refused to identify himself. If my car was ready.I could tell he was irritated. I went back to the table outside and sat down, another tech wearing glasses and slender sat down across from me and said they had a deal that they found two things wrong with my car that if I got one done for either $149.00 for a trans mission fluid change or tire rotation for 19.99 he would give me a free inspection I told him no thanks I get a free tire rotation and balancing with my tire warranty, I also told him I do my own fluid checks as well. He didn't like that I stated just ring up the charges for the inspection which was $25.50. He went back in the bay area and started making motions at me with a new employee still taking his time and making me wait longer, he was trying to show the trainee how to ring up the charges just for to make me wait more. Finally I left and got into my car and looked for my insurance card, I couldn't find it and went back in and asked the Bald Headed tech where was the card, rudely he said I put it back in your car I told him it wasn't there, the slender tech went back out to the computer where they do printouts and there was my insurance card which the tech did not put back. I made a comment not very professional and that would be in my review and he stated I'd like to review you in a threatening manner. I'm 75 years old, a Vietnam veteran and I am very calm and laid back person until I have to deal with those two very unprofessional techs. Hesitant to give 5 stars because of previous reviews, but I will update if I come upon any issues in the future. This is the second time I've been here. I just moved to Texas from California so I have a little different perspective on how seriously people and companies take customer service. I have been treated with nothing but respect here. Employees are friendly, they offer coffee, tea, and water, tell me to make myself comfortable, and they get right to work. The facilities here are immaculate if you consider most auto shops. And even compared to a lot of restaurants this place is very clean. I used the restroom and it was well stocked with feminine products, toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. The lobby has comfortable chairs that someone might find in their living room. Granted, they are well-used and appear dirty, but it's a waiting area so I wouldn't expect anything different. In fact, most auto shops have a couple generic, hard chairs, so this is a step up. I got here and handed over my keys and they immediately brought my car in to start on the oil change. That has never happened in my entire life. Several people came in after me so their wait is a little longer, but someone was here to greet them and ask them what they needed. They are washing my windows and vacuuming my floors as they change my oil and I am drinking a refrigerated water as I wait. Rodney took me out to the car to discuss recommendations and was very polite and seemed honest about his suggestions. I declined and he wasn't pushy about me needing to have more work done. There is even a dedicated kid's area with a table and coloring supplies. I don't understand why they would have 1-star reviews here, but I know I've been in incredibly frustrating situations before and have also left angry reviews. read more

Highly recommend this place!! Only car shop I go to anymore!! They are the best!! It is so amazing to go to a car shop where I can TRUST them. I have gone in for oil changes a few times and they have found some other updates that my car has needed. Others may not like this and I noticed in previous reviews that others believe this is their way of trying to make more sales. Personally I would rather know everything going on with my car and be given the choice to whether I want to fix it. That's exactly what they do here. I have never felt pressured to buy additional repairs. What I love about this place is that they will take you into the garage and physically show you on your car the things they are talking about. Like they mentioned I needed a new filter and physically showed me the filter. And looking at the filter myself I was able to be like "ew, yea I do." So I can trust they are not just making things up. They also explain everything they are bringing up that may need repair which is especially helpful for someone who knows nothing about cars. They had me in the garage looking into the hood of my car as they explained and pointed to the things my car needed. And then they left it all up to me about whether I wanted to make those repairs. No pressure. I can feel so confident driving my car now knowing that they have thoroughly checked over my car. I feel aware of everything going on with my car and it makes me feel safer. I also had an experience once where my car would be in the shop for a few hours. I didn't have a ride home so I planned to just wait. However, the owner himself drove me to my apartment so I didn't have to wait at the shop. I am very grateful to have found this shop. Seriously, I recommend to anyone. read more

Worst place I have ever been absolutely horrible experience. Had my friend drop her car off their to get and alignment that the would even check. Told her she need all 4 of her control arms replace and that it would cost 1500 dollars witch is absolutely crazy got it quoted from another shop with a 5 star review for 900 highway robbery so when She goes and pick up her car they treat her like absolute trash. They told her she had to pay a 125 diagnostic fee which is wrong because they didn't have her sign any paper work stating that if any work is not performed then they would charge her any money for a matter of a fact they didn't make her sing any paper upon vehicle drop off witch is kinda crazy what shop with a crap doesn't make you sign any paper stating that you dropped your car off and they will be responsible for it and ever shop I have been to makes me sign paper work stating that their will be a diagnostic fee. So he started arguing with her for close to a hour finally she agreed to pay the 125 he said no since you have had a attitude this whole time I'm just going to charge your credit card 400 dollars (she applied for their credit card because she knew she could not afford it if it was something major) so he would not let her pay and he was going to try to steal her money from the credit card this is absolutely crazy. So she just left because he refused I repeat refused to let her pay so he called the cops on her because he refused to let her pay even tho she offered to pay the 125 Diagnostic fee So please for the love of god don't go to this shop it is robbery they are trying to rob people money And when we took it to the other shop it turns out the car didn't need control arms at all it only needed a 90 dollar alinement and now it drives perfectly fine read more

I've been looking for a place to take my car for service and a friend recommended Kwik Kar. It's close to my house and by outward appearances, a nice place. Once inside, I was impressed with the cleanliness and customer friendly atmosphere. Westley was polite when checking me in. They took care of my car in the time frame they promised. Unfortunately, when I arrived to pick up my car I had to wait a while (on my lunch break) to pay and it seemed like someone could have manned the desk for that purpose. Kwik Kar may be a little pricey, but I think the owner or manager takes pride in running a good business and that makes me want to go back for my next maintenance/check-up. read more

If you want a basic oil change plan on spending just under $50 for a small car. I told them I wanted a basic oil change and I got all these additional services I don't care for like: 1. Cleaning windows 2. Checking filters (Upsale opportunity) 3. Vacuuming inside of car 4. Checking my transmission fluid (Upsale Opportunity) 5. Checking wiper Blades (Upsale Opportunity) 6. Checking battery charge (Upsale Opportunity) Basically the whole time you are waiting on your vehicle (45 minutes) is spent waiting for them to do all these additional services, that you didn't ask for, so they can try to upsale you. If you're okay with paying close to $50 for a basic oil change than feel free to try this place out. If not, go someplace else that will charge you HALF the price just about. DO NOT GO HERE! Keep reading for the worst customer service experience of my life. I took my car here today (7/11/19) for a oil change and break service and was treated with complete disrespect by the degrading, myogencistic, condescending "manager" (his name might be Will Plummer?) who laughed in my face, talked behind my back, and continued to call me, a 25 year old female professional, "sweetie" and "missy". Starting from the beginning - the sign outside says "we accept competitor coupons." I brought two coupons from Firestone ($50 off for brakes and $15 for oil change). The "manager" scoffed in my face and said "well we only accept reasonable coupons" - which confused me as "reasonable" seemed like very subjective definition? I inquired about what makes a coupon "reasonable" and he said if I want any help I "better stop arguing with him." He then proceeded to give me a 15 dollar discount for "ladies day" since apparently, as a female, this was the only "reasonable coupon." Frustrated, I took the card on the desk and proceeded to call the owner line in the parking lot to discuss how I was treated. The phone line was answered, no one says "hello," but I can overhear the "manager" talking about me to all his buddies! I hang up and walk back into the garage to tell him that I heard him THROUGH THE PHONE saying horrible things about me. He continued to condescend to me as "sweetie" and "missy, saying "Yeah I was talking because I needed to tell my guys how to deal with a 'problem' like you." Cannot. Make. This. Up. I walked out of the garage so frustrated and uncomfortable that I was near tears. Mind you, this was all surrounded by the other workers in the garage and not ONE of them interjected to tell this man he was out of line. This place is terrible, but the people are truly worse. Getting my oil change at the dealership just now, they tell me the last place I took my truck to stripped my drain plug and they can't get it back in and that I'm lucky it stayed in as long as it did without leaking. So I call Kwik Kar and ask for a reimbursement on the damage they did, $12 total. They told me drain plugs wear out after time which is normal, that the manager was too busy to talk to me and to call back in a couple hours, and mocked me when I said I wanted a reimbursement for the cost of a drain plug on principle. In 20yrs of having service work done on my vehicles I've never had anyone strip my drain plug. It's also just plain bad customer service to tell you to call back later, the very least you should do is offer to take your number and apologize for the problem they caused. And finally, mocking a customer isn't cool it just serves to make your customer angry. I even tried to warn them their behavior was a mistake and to try harder, but nope I was still told to call back later. So here's the consequences of your mistake, an incredibly bad yelp review and a loss of both our vehicles for any future service. I have fine experiences at this place. It never is real fast service, usually 15-20 minutes I guess. I like that they tell me about the levels of my fluids, etc. so I know where I stand. I don't normally let them do additional services to my car. If you go to a place like Kwik Kar, you should expect them to be thorough and check everything. You should also know that they charge more. TL;DR -- No oil change was done, went in, talked to manager and two employees which they lied and said it was done. Confirmed by two other auto service shops. On Monday Aug 10th, went in to get my oil change and to have my fluids checked. They came back and said the oil change was done and gave me feedback on what items that needed attended to. Transmission needed to be done but since it was over 100,000, they said they are not able to do it and recommened me to go to transmission shop. So today, Tuesday Aug 11th, I went to the transmission shop. They said they'll do a multi point inspection to cover all their bases. Well... lo and behold, they call and say my oil isn't good and looks like there's a leak!!! I told them it should be fine since I did it yesterday. "Nope! Nope! It was NOT done. You need to go back and talk to their manager," the mechanic said. He was pretty upset I got a "phantom oil change" as he called it. **by the by.. I didn't even need the transmission fluid changed** So, head back to Kwick Kar Ridgmar and ask to speak to the manager. He said he will have them check. As the other two employees check, their body language rang bells but when I asked if it looked like as it was described by the other auto shop, they said no and that it looked fine!!. The manager even stated, "It has our filter installed so course the oil change was completed." I didn't completely trust them just because of their demeanor and the fact the manager stated about the filter. It felt completely off. I had another appointment today at a different auto shop to get new tires. [The transmission shop and kwick kar didn't offer that service] I asked them to look at the oil and see what they thought. In their words, "The oil was dirty." "Looking at the filter and oil, it definitely, was in a state to be immediately serviced." Today I took my car in for an oil change . They said it would be done in about 45 minutes to an hour. When we went to pick the car up everything was fine. But on my drive home I noticed a loud roaring noise when I would press on the gas. Well, stopped by for a Kwik oil change today and was very surprised that it was most assuredly not Kwik. At least the name wasn't Kwik and cheap cause it wasn't that either. Simple oil change with synthetic blend, not even full synthetic mind you, was $71.66 . FRoyal Purple in my driveway next time. I arrived at 10:06 a.m. and filled out the paperwork while they pulled my Truck into the bay. Five minutes later a technician came in to ask what type of oil I wanted. I asked what they recommended due to this being the first oil change in my new truck and they said, "well, there's conventional oil, then there is Synthetic Blend, and we have Synthetic too." Ok, thanks for clearing that up.... I asked if the Synthetic Blend was Pennzoil, since I notice that on most of the bottles in the work bay, and the technician said, um, I think so. About fifteen minutes later, the technician comes back in and says, "Um, is Motorcraft OK?" I say sure. I have no problem with that. Almost 45 minutes later, the technician notices me in the lobby checking my watch and comes in to tell me that they do not have enought Motorcraft oil to fill my truck and have sent someone to the store to get more. It shouldn't be more than fifteen minutes. Over an hour and $71.44 later I arrive at Yelp to advise the good people of Fort Worth if you aren't really that attached to your money, please send your business to Kwik Kar of Ridgmar. She didn't try to push any services on me and gave me a quick estimate of everything that needed to be done, then told me what the most important things were without trying too hard to sell me on anything. She also helped keep my costs lower by finding all the discounts she could. I see people have complained about the oil changes, but the cost for my oil change was the same that I've paid other places. I went in for an inspection. When I went to pick up my car I was told I had a minor problem, my window tint was 1% too dark. I explained I purchased the car new with the tint and have had four inspections at Kwik Kar and it never failed before. I was told by the rather arrogant guy I was dealing with that the other Kwik Kars didn't know what they were doing. I returned a couple of days later after cleaning my windows and asked them to check it again. The same arrogant jerk said it wouldn't matter. I explained I called the tint company and they assured me their tint was compliant and there was a compliance sticker on each window. When I tried to tell Mr, Arrogant he said they were full of s**t. I came in this past weekend and had my wifes suburban serviced. They took the time to explain where our car was on services. i had the terraclean done and we can tell a difference in the way the truck drives. Once my wife finsihes this tank we will see how much our gas mileage has improved. We also had the radiator flushed as well. Overall we are happty with the service. read more
