Wednesdays are Ladies' Days, so the standard oil changes are $17.99 for up to 5 quarts. And they use Castrol Oil. The two gentlemen that helped me, Jerry(?) and Shawn, were very nice and friendly. (Jerry was funny.) I'm sure it's part of their job to upsell, and they did a good job with it, since I also got an Oil System Cleaner service and a Power Steering service since I was 3,000 miles overdue on the oil change and I had never had my power steering system serviced since I bought my car. (I had only planned on a straight up oil change.) Service was very quick--I was in and out in less than 30 mins (I usually will be waiting at the dealership for close to 2 hours.) My car drove very smoothly when I got it back, so I think their recommendation for the oil system cleaner did actually do something for the car. The damage for the 3 services was just under $100 (with the power steering service being the most expensive) but it was money well spent since my baby drives like it's brand new again. ;) 4 stars for their customer service, speed of service, and quality of work. Price for a standard oil change is pretty darn good too compared to a dealership. I will be returning for future oil changes and basic servicing.

I can't remember the last time that I've been to this franchise, as I usually go to Take 5, but I'll definitely never go back to this spot. The first alarm bell was that they made me get out of my car. I just want to get in and get out. There should be no need for me to get out of my car for a quick oil change. The second alarm bell was that the few men on staff were swearing up and down that I had been in to their shop recently (I had not) and that they had recently had a car "just like that." It wasn't just one or two comments, but went on for a few minutes and creeped me out. The third alarm bell was that after I filled out my information in the iPad provided and asked if my Veteran/Military discount was included, I was told that it should all transfer from my current profile. I didn't have a current profile. I haven't been to a Famous in many, many years. As I was waiting in their office waiting area, one of the guys came in to walk me out to my car and, basically, up charge me on stuff. I commute to St Augustine every day for work, so I'm staying on top of my oil changes and fluids. However, I'm fairly certain that my coolant needed to be topped off, so I let them do it. That said, I was told that my Veterans discount would "transfer over" and it wasn't included and that they were going to put the current oil that I was using in my car, which was non-synthetic, and they put in synthetic thinking that I wouldn't notice. When my bill popped up to be nearly $200, I looked at it and said that I don't put synthetic oil in this car and that kind of oil should not have been used. The guy at the desk took it down to a regularly priced oil change, but not without making comments in a smarmy tone like "the customer is always right" and generally making me feel like he got caught trying to upcharge me. I felt very uncomfortable from start to finish here. Everyone, ladies especially, avoid this place at all costs.

When you begin to question what I just said only to escalate the situation, especially as the employee, is not the way. I'm a customer looking at their phone waiting for service after driving back 2 hours into town in my work van. Then whistling/hollering at me from across the shop/property because now YOU are ready for me to pull into the bay is not satisfying...instead of walking up to my open window or tapping on my hood to get my attention. You can clearly see I'm not paying attention and you work in a shop dude, mechanics yell for/at each other all the time, how am I supposed to know that's my calling sir? To take offense to my last comment before you kicked me out, "there are other ways to communicate" is sad. Not even a "my bad" or could've simply cracked a joke about me being on the phone while "driving" to get my attention to pull in would've saved you the trouble with your organization and the loss of my/our business because I'm driving almost 1k miles a week needing an oil change about once a month, if not more. I was forced to go elsewhere and I really like the Valvoline instant oil change place they checked all my lights, blinkers, filled up my tires and have a much better/effective oil removal process. Take 5? More like Take Off, I'm outta here and never stopping back there are too many other places where my money and time are much greener.

I had noticed a sound like A Jet following me as of late and it dawned on me that---ohhhhh shoooot!!! That's my SUV! I pulled up and asked a gentleman could he listen to the sound my Murano was making and tell me if it's something they could assist me with repairing in a timely fashion. (I had asked ChatGpt what it might be and it was described as being a signal my brakes needed to be replaced.) the kind gentleman, I would later learn was on his break when he obliged my request and drove around the parking lot to help me unbeknownst to me. Ed confirmed it was imperative I get them repaired rather than chance driving to St Augustine which is what I had planned that Saturday. Upon going inside Andreas checked me in and was the one to inform me I had time on my front but the back pads definitely needed replacement. This meant a tremendous hit because they didn't just run up my ticket. I'm so grateful--I was lead to stop at this location. They serviced my vehicle in a timely manner that allowed me time to still safely travel to St Augustine with my babygirl to see Night of Lights! Just wanted to give Ed and Andreas their flowers because this experience was top tier in my book.
