Very friendly, efficient and informative. Cost wasn't too bad for synthetic oil. They to give a 25% discount for military.

Do not go here for oil changes. Went to them on 27OCT, after the oil change my car was broken down with a seized engine, leaving my stranded on the side of I95. Photos attached are of the car after leaving Take 5 in Kingsland GA. After multiple days of trying to speak to a manager he finally said "the camera system was reviewed, and we did nothing wrong" and then refused to cover any damages. My wife took my vehicle here to get the oil changed on March 3, 2022. She told me that it was not too bad when it came to customer service, customer interaction, cleanliness, and wait time. She had no complaints or nothing good to say, it was a "4 star experience." I normally do the oil changes on my vehicle, but due to health concerns, I couldn't do it... Fast forward to last night, May 4th, 2022. I attempted to remove my drain bolt. The torque spec for a 2011 Honda Civic oil drain bolt is 25 ft/lbs. The amount of force that was required to loosen the bolt was well over 100 ft/lbs, after the bolt stripped, I had to get specialized tools to even be able to remove the bolt...adding over an hour to a 10 min oil change. Not only that, but the oil filter which has NO torque spec for the oil filter because the filter is only supposed to be slightly tighter than hand tight. It required specialized tools to remove because it was over tightened. The seating surfaces for both items were severely warped and now require over 150.00 dollars worth of parts and tools to fix. The oil that they used was VERY thin, and I'm still suspicious that they might've used something other than then Mobil High performance, high mileage. So, if you don't want to have costly repairs on your vehicle, I highly recommend you go somewhere else. I can answer any other questions you have on this subject. read more

Automated system just hangs up when transfers to customer Svc..... EVERY TIME when trying to schedule an oil change.

They were quick and fast and to the point. Loved that about these guys. Cheap to which makes it nice.

A black friend of mine visiting from out of town needed an oil change and instead of providing respectful customer service, a male employee with a missing tooth/teeth told him it would be a forty-five minute wait. Just after my friend left to get an oil change elsewhere, the same employee came out to help a white customer after they just pulled up. Absolutely disgusting that this kind of racism still exists especially at a place of business that is supposed to provide equal service to all races. Do better Take 5. read more

Tried them for the first time, as I was only in town for the day. I was impressed by their customer focused service. Took the time to explain my options. Tried, of course, to sell up the product line. The best part, no change in service level when I declined. Stephan was a true professional. I could read the name of the employee who had me pull up to finish the air in my left front tire. All in all, excellent service with no hassles. read more

Just got it changed 1 minute ago. Don't listen to old reviews, it's 2023 10/13/23. Staff is super respectful and efficient. Supportive of military service. Not enough people leave reviews on here lol. Quite literally 10 mins. They refilled window fluids, reset electronic oil percentage, and cleaned windshield aswell. Absolutely terrible service, employees have bad attitudes and management not much better. Do Not Take Your Car Here! Went to Take 5 on 1/22/23 to get oil changed on company truck before leaving town. Employee did not know how to process fleet vehicle and told me to pay via CC or leave. (I should have just left) Employee refused to call 1800# on fleet card to get authorization code, so as a last resort I did pay via CC. Called management multiple times to rectify issue with very little response. I will never return to any Take 5 for oil changes again! read more

Drove my 2017 Ram in to get an oil change because the Local Dealer was backed up. A 30 dollar plus oil change and a tire rotation.They immediately drain your oil and then tell you that it needs a 100 dollar plus synthetic oil change. They refuse to put what goes in it, they want to sell you the most expensive oil they have. Was then told I needed wiper blades and an air filter after I had them replaced a month earlier. I am an ex Dodge/ Chrysler/ Ram? certified technician and an ASE master technician with 42 years of experience not someone's innocent wife you can fool with that crap. I will never go back and recommend no one else goes there either. read more

First take 5 I've been to that told me they didn't have the tool to take of a skid plate to change oil. I don't know if it was because it was an hour before they close or if they were too busy working on the truck in the parking lot. Then again they just might not have the tools for oil changes here. read more

After reading reviews on this site, I decided to take my wife's car to the Take 5 in Kingsland, GA. There were reviews that made me wonder about this place, but the management appeared to have replied to the negative reviews, which to me is always a plus. Sadly, management has apparently not spoken to the boots on the ground about their practices. Bait and Switch seems to be the MO at Take 5. I asked for a basic oil change with the Castrol Superclean - $49.95 all in. I was told that Ford does not allow that oil in this car. I said that Ford recommends a synthetic blend, and asked if the Castro Ultraclean was not a synthetic blend. The guys (three of them) replied that the Ultraclean is not a good oil. It is too basic and will not work in a turbocharged engine, which is what the car has. After a couple of minutes of back and forth, I asked the guys to button her back up and said that I would find someone else to change the oil. I was then told that, although it is not recommended, they would give me the $49.95 oil change, but that any problems with the car would be on me, not them. So I left and will find another shop to change the oil. When I got home, I went to the Castrol web site and used their oil selector tool to see what they recommend. Although it is not listed as their first choice, probably because it is not their highest priced option, it was listed as an acceptable oil for the engine. I don't know how much oil Castrol sells to Take 5, but my guess is that it is a significant amount. I would think that they would be interested to know that Take 5 thinks that the Castrol Ultraclean oil is not good for engines read more

Received an oil change at this location on more than one occasion. The first time was with a 2016 base model Nissan Versa. The technician lied and said based on -government regulation- cars of my model year and newer had to use synthetic oil. Clearly a quick scheme to make extra money. The second occasion I came with a 2017 Chevy Camaro and the technician scans my VIN just to verify that the car wasn't stolen. Yes, I'm sure he was just your concerned model citizen trying to do right in this world. The consensus for me was deciding whether it is worth it to get a quick 15 minute oil change at the expense of dealing with insufferable, dishonest business practices? My decision is it is not. Quick and easy. More expensive than some other locations but you pay for the convenience. They give you a cold bottle of water and get it done quickly while you stay in the car. 25% military discount is nice. If you aren't military, look on their website because they always have coupons and you can show them the coupon on your phone. My only real issue was that they told me that my air filter "definitely" needed to be replaced and it was only a few months old with a small amount of dust on it. Every time I've ever been to a Take 5 they suggest I change my air filter. That must be part of their training, to suggest it no matter what. read more

Pulled in to get an oil change and was quoted 94$ for a basic oil change and was told a cool story about how it's mandatory to run 2015 and above vehicles on full synthetic... you heard that correctly.. Thats Ninety Four Dollars....... For an oil change only.. I'm not going to slam the business for service because I gladly drove off.. read more
