The guy who seemed to be the manager (Black D on my receipt) was very unfriendly and unprofessional. Won't be visiting this or any other Take 5 because, for what they're charging, you shouldn't be scolded for missing their vague cue to pull into a bay, or their sullen hand gestures guiding you into the bay, which you are apparently not following very well, or having to never hear a "thank you." I mean, maybe someone pee'd in his Cheerios this morning but if you get paid to have a customer facing role, it is time to cowboy up and do the job well. read more

Needed the oil change today. The female employee with the long blonde hair who refused to give me her name started scolding me for pulling my car to the oil changing station though she asked me to pull my car there herself. Then she rudely started interacting with me. When I pointed out to her unprofessionalism she refused to provide the service and rudely asked me to leave. Their website says they open at 7AM. I went to both of the Mayfield locations and neither were open. I waited even until 7:25. I called in at 7:00 and the phone center said to wait until 7:15 as that's when the techs roll in. I did and no one showed. Super annoying and a waste of time as their website says they open at 7AM on Tuesdays. If they can't hold their hours and teams accountable to their hours how can we trust them to work on our vehicles? At minimum update your hours. I will not be using Take 5. read more

I had a great experience at this Take 5. It did take close to an hour rather than the 10 minutes advertised, but they let me know up front that it was going to be a wait so I could choose whether to stay or come back later. I didn't mind waiting so this was fine for me. As a woman who knows nothing about cars, I'm always afraid of being taken advantage of and being upcharged when I get my car serviced, but the service tech did a great job of explaining everything to me and providing total transparency. They made recommendations of when I should get filters/etc replaced instead of trying to get me to pay to replace today, which made me feel that they were very trustworthy and reliable. The total cost for 6 quarts of full synthetic oil was around $100, which my car-savvy boyfriend felt was a reasonable price. Included in that, they topped off my washer fluid, checked my tire pressure and topped my tires off, checked my wiper blades to make sure they were still good, cleaned my windshield, and did a few other things. I drove away feeling great that my car is ready for winter! I will return to this Take 5 for my next oil change. read more

Young'n here, with a surprisingly good first emissions check experience. This was the closest location to the Golden Gate Title Department office and even more conveniently, does not charge for the E-check. I pulled into the parking lot and immediately a staff member came to ask what I needed. 30 seconds later, I was pulling into a service spot, and less than 5 minutes later, I was handed my completed E-check form and driving out of the lot. No gimmicks or extras, just fast, efficient, and friendly service! read more

This was my first time in one of these quick service shops. I think they were short staffed as there was about a 30 minute wait before they got to my car. Even though they had 3 bays they had to finish one oil change and do a complete other one before getting to me. They had 3 employees but their system seems to require 3 staff on the car at one time. They go through this calling out safety check process where they repeat things the other people say. It is nice that they take safety seriously and don't want to forget any crucial steps. The staff were all friendly. The published prices are all for just the oil change. Once in the bay they have lots of other options like new windshield wipers, a new cabin air filter or a new engine air filter. They do tire pressure top ups for free which was very nice. Overall I would come back here, just maybe time my arrival right for when they open. Check the internet for a coupon. read more

The best! I went to Take 5 simply because I knew there was a quick oil change place in that location; there has been a few different ones there over a period of years. I pulled in and was greeted by a very friendly fellow who offered bottled water. I gave him the details and the manager came out and introduced himself. I then pulled in and a very experienced tech handled my issue toot sweet! I was in and out; so fast, so friendly, so knowledgeable. Unbelievable service. I was met outside by an attendant w a bottle of water for me. After discussing my needs (simple oil change) I pulled into a bay and Take 5 got right to work. The staff was very friendly, and actually amusing. They preformed a full service check, and took my internet coupon for $10 off. I was outta there in 10 mins for $65, for the same service my dealership would have charged $100+. This Lube Stop has the nicest guys working. I was with my Mom taking her 1998 Buick Park Avenue for an oil change because she is afraid to "drive over the hole." I learned to drive on an '89 Buick Lesabre, so one would think that driving this would be easy for me, but for the past 10 years I have been driving much smaller vehicles and getting back into a boat like this was intimidating to say the least.... I felt like I was 16 years old again driving Dad's car. Not only is it huge, it has a carrier for a power scooter attached to the back, the driver's side window does not work, and it is set up with hand controls on the break and gas..... We pulled in slowly and after stopping over the hole without incident, I motioned the guy to the passenger window since mine was stuck in place.... He greeted us with a smile.... helped me to find all the buttons needed to find mileage, lights, and a bunch of other things..... he then accommodated us with milk crates outside so that we didn't have to sit in the hot car while they worked.... Came over not just to "sell" us stuff, but to chat about idle things and also to laugh at the chipmunk nest that had been made my mom's air filter. The 10 minutes or so flew by and if it was appropriate to tip these nice young men, we would have. We will definitely be returning to this location for future oil changes. read more

Take 5 at the Eastlake/Vine Street location was beyond compare. They were so polite, explained all my options, were FAST, and made me want to return for my next oil change. Great job guys! I had been driving my Elantra around in need of an oil change for a while. Today I decided to use my lunch break to go get an oil change. Thanks to Lube Stop I was able to get lunch AND an oil change. The guys at this Lube Stop are quick, easy to deal with, and did not try to up-sell me much. Many Lube Stop locations will try to sell you everything. As a customer, I usually know what I am shopping for. When I get an oil change this is no different for me. Rather than checking every piece and part they asked me about my windshield wipers "Are these working properly?" and recommended the print-out items like a fuel system clean and tire rotation. I appreciate this because... well, I dont need new windshield wipers. They asked about the cabin air filter and I had never checked it so I let them. Next time its getting replaced. Most places will want to also check your tires, lights, etc... but I check these items myself. Glad they asked! I really appreciate being asked what specifically I am looking for. If I was not sure, I would ask! It's okay to recommend products but not to try to get customers to purchase un-needed items. They checked my air filter and even they agreed it looked perfectly fine. First time here. From past experiences at other quick oil change places, I called ahead to be sure they had my filter. They did. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a bottle of water - perfect start to my Saturday errands. Oil change was quick and efficient. The technician broke a part of the car's engine right in front of us; did not check the air filter even though the air filter says it was checked, left an engine hose disconnected, and possibly put the wrong oil in the car because the check engine light is now on and the car is running horribly after their servicing the car. Now they are trying to claim that it was not something that they did. Do not take your car to this establishment! read more

One of the worst experiences by far. I visited this establishment several weeks ago, I was visiting from out of state and needed a quick oil change, they were beyond slow. Best oil change shop around! The staff were very professional and respectful. I was greeted as soon as I pulled up to the building and offered a bottle of water. I had a concern about my tire pressure and the guys attended to that in addition to changing my oil. They offer a $3 discount for return customers. Friendly advice and no up-selling. I pulled in when only one car was waiting outside. Instead of pulling behind that car, I chose spot 2, as it was closer than spot one. When they finally let my car inside, I sat there for over 30 minutes while they helped someone else. I finally asked how long it was going to take, as I already had been waiting for 45 minutes, 30 of that inside. Ben told me it shouldn't be too much longer. I asked why they did another car before mine and he said she was first. Mark my words, I was first. Ben asked if I wanted him to check the camera and I said yes. When he didn't, I reminded him to and he said he forgot that he can't. He said she was first and behind the other car. I know for a fact when I pulled in it was just me and one other car. That gave me a choice of 2 spots to pick from because who would pull in behind the other car when there were empty spots next to her. This took an hour of my time and I was ignored. Take 5 on Mayfield and SOM is the slowest and worst oil change I've ever had. 1 hour and 25 minutes and They forgot to check my tire level. Too bad as Lube Stop was fabulous. Hope this location is an exception. read more
