First the bad side is sometimes there is a wait in line, they do a good job pulling cars up to next position but often there are 4-6 cars in line waiting. On a weekday morning my wait was about 35 minutes to get to the oil change position, then it's only 10-15 min for the actual oil change. They have 3 stalls but not everyone gets a basic oil service. I found the technicians very helpful and they do their best to keep things flowing. If you take your car to a dealer for an oil change it's usually a wait so it's not like other places are so much faster. My review would have been a 5 star but I did reduce 1 star due to the line. It was a 45 minute wait just to get into a bay. Don't go, way too slow! Not enough workers.

Pulled in at 12:05. We were told it would be a 30 to 35-minute wait time. I wasn't excited about it, but there is literally no place to turn around, so we stayed. AN HOUR LATER, we were looking at a finally-emptied bay and were told it would take about 2 minutes to empty the oil in the bay. 10 minutes later, he tapped on my hood for me to release the latch. I REALLY wanted to just drive through the bay and leave....but I did not. Again, I'm sorry. 5 minutes later, he removed the cone and allowed me to pull in. It is now 1:15....I arrived at 12:05. I asked if he knew we had been waiting over an hour, "Yes, everyone is telling me that and there's nothing I can do about it." And walks away. OIL CHANGE: They were out of the basic oil, so $108 oil it was. After he finished, he walked away for about 5 minutes and we sat--- most guys from all bays just POOF, were gone. And we sat. FINALLY: We exited at 1:39 with a receipt for $122.00 for a '10 minute Oil Change' that took 30 minutes of change time -- 70 minutes of wait time.!! Personally, I think they should have discounted EVERYONE that had to deal with this. I was lane-bound... I couldn't leave...and I wanted to after just a few minutes in this Florida heat....but I couldn't go - the only way out was through a bay and that wasn't happening anytime soon! read more

I waited in line to get my truck in for about 40 minutes - then they got my truck in drained my oil and then came and told me they did not have an oil filter for my truck - which is just a standard F250 diesel 6.7 L so I got free oil but no real oil change and then they tried to call me and had me come back in because they told me that they told the manager and the manager said they did have the oil filter. The guy just didn't know which one to look for and it was like an hour and a half of just confusion so I don't want to do that again. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I had a bad oil change here years ago, but decided to give them another change since it was going to be almost a week before my regular mechanic could get me in. BIG MISTAKE. My car ended up leaking oil and Matt, the "district manager" has refused to take any accountability, and instead blamed it on a leaking valve gasket cover despite not even putting the vehicle in the bay to look underneath it. I showed him the receipt from my regular mechanic stating that my drain plug wasn't on tight and that it was clear they had overfilled it. I have given Matt almost a month to make things right, but he is no longer answering my calls or texts and the main customer complaint number/email address seems to be getting me nowhere. I'm now out $100 for the oil change PLUS another $300 to fix a gasket that wasn't broken when I came into the shop. Unless you like throwing away your money and dealing with headaches and car troubles, DO NOT GO HERE. I'd give it zero stars if that was an option. read more

Manager is a liar. Said my belt was dry rotted and cracked. Showed me the dirt on his hands and said "that's your dry rot right there." My belt was brand new. No cracks or even wear in it at all. Not to be a Scrooge on Christmas Eve, but honesty is truly needed here. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in an oil change. I mean, it's oil. I arrived at 11:03 exited at 1:03 they lined us up and put numbers on our windshields. The three people behind me came around to the right and they put their numbers in front of me which is not a bad thing with three bays rolling, I'm OK with that. The issue I have is I pulled in behind the truck that I had been behind the entire two hours and went to the bay to the right they all said you can't be here before these three cars. I actually took photos of the cars coming around me to the right and showed the manager. The only reason that I took photos was to show my wife how long the lines were not even realizing that I had taken a couple photos showing the cars behind me and then to the right of me. After $139 later and two hours of wasted time again changing oil, we are talking oil here. The arrogance and the up selling was at an all-time high that day. I'm not naïve to understand that it was pre-holiday travel and people are trying to get in, but it's how the associates handled the situation. Had the worst experience ever at a quick 10 minute oil change. This Place is not a 10 Min stop. I pulled in at 2:20PM after about 15 minutes a young man came out and wrote on my glass and said i would be in the bay within 35 minutes. He offered me a water and I knew this is not going to be 35 minutes. At 3:45 I was in the bay. No one said hello or spoke to me at 4:06 someone finally started working on my vehicle but by 4:21 Oil still not changed. I only wanted an oil change my vehicle takes 10W 30 SAE. No one told me they don't have 10W30 SAE. The guy G seemed more concerned with getting at my air filter, and waiting to access my cabin filter. He somehow damaged my air box and striped a screw so I sat i he was trying to find a way to fix. He dropped the Screw bolt into the pit and attempted to look for it. I told him I never asked for you to check the air filter. I had a coupon for 60% welcome visit as this was my first experience with take 5, They wouldn't apply and then told me he couldn't apply the 25% coupon from their website and said he could apply a 15% coupon. At this point I was done, I asked if they were finished. No one checked my tires , he said they were finished and handed me the receipt thats when i noticed they put 5W30 . This is Florida and and my engine specifically says 10W30 SAE. I was late for an appointment and had to leave, pulled out at 4:36PM..Ridiculous. Car is not running right and have to have the air box checked as the vehicle is lacking power now. They are so busy looking for other things to upsell, instead of changing the oil, hence the wait is long. read more

What an absolute JOKE this place is. An hour and a half to cycle 6 vehicles through the bays. i would strongly suggest you tell your employees at this location. I usually don't give out bad reviews. We all have days that are better than others, but today was different. After waiting in line for over an hour the manager was condescending. The employee's other than him were great. I was cut short by two cars and didn't say a word. The truck next to me complained to no avail. When the manager walked by my car and pointed out my windshield wipers needed to be replaced and didn't know why anyone would drive that way. He made the statement and didn't have the courtesy to even talk to me. He set a very bad example to the young men working their hardest. These guys & gals make the experience far better than other places that charge relatively the same. Prices are average, 'wait time' was short; I was in-&-out in about 30mins, even being two cars back, on a three lane entry. I really liked the fact that they are professional, yet friendly. I went to take 5 today 7/10/25 in Palm Coast. My technician was Dillion. After I pulled forward to get my oil changed just sitting in the bay. Now I'm not sure how many people were under my car. However I was just sitting there in the bay and seeing everyone get full service in front of me and beside me. I did not receive the full service like everyone else. No tire pressure, windshield cleaning, no checking of the fluids nothing. I didn't even get a greeting. What I did get was Dillon yawning and walking around instead of working on my vehicle as I sat there in the bay for 15 to 20 min. I asked him why I didn't get the full service and his response was I forgot. I don't know this man and I do not want to call him racist however it seems to me that was the case of how I was treated. It seemed to me he did not want to help a black man sitting in a gray Yukon. Extremely poor service. read more

Never again! The Take 5 off Palm coast parkway is horrible. they call it a 10 minute oil change but I waited an hour just to get into a bay and wait some more. Manager Matt is a BULLY with no respect for customers. Gaslites customers instead of acknowledging they did not provide the "quick service" advertised. They also had the audacity to let cars which I'm guessing are friends or family cut in front of others (they did it to the woman in front of me and then tried to let a guy in a auto service truck cut in front of me but I stopped them). $105 for the mid level oil change is way too overpriced especially for the horrible service, bully employees and trapping customers in a line they have no way to get out of so they are forced to wait an hour or more. Seriously you can get better service at Walmart and at least shop while you wait. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere or call a mobile mechanic cause they cost about the same and you won't have the long wait sitting in your car and the men trying to gaslight and bully you. I'm not even sure if they truly changed my oil given the childish way they responded to me and the bullying nature of the so called manager. I just hope now that they didn't do something to ruin my car after reading the feedback of what they have done to other peoples cars. They also demand your phone number and full name for their "records" even though they scanned my VIN and refused me service if I wouldn't provide it. Awful experience the past few times Take 5 has done all my oil changes since the car was new.... but the last two times...they put in the wrong oil : 5w30 instead of 5w20... and told me ''it's all the same anyway." No, it is not all the same. I needed an oil change recently and was bombarded by more Take 5 coupons. But I decided to see what people were saying online first. I've been here a few times to have my oil changed. I could not provide a five star rating simply because of the price. I realize the push for synthetic oil is a business decision designed to maximize profits, but it's simply not a perfect fit for every vehicle. Pricing could be a bit lower, as there is a lot of competition in the market for this particular service. All else has been a satisfactory experience. Service has always been quick and efficient for me. Additionally, if you need any fluids topped off in between oil changes, I've been told they provide that service for free. That does add value for the prices charged, but in my case, I do all minor work (including the addition of fluids) myself, so I don't have a need for that. It's a little tight there if several vehicles are waiting in line, but it's managed very well and the work is performed swiftly, so that's hardly a problem. Overall a very good experience so I'll continue bringing my car there for routine oil changes. read more

The convenience and speed here is worth it. I used to go to Wal mart and always had to either wait a couple hours or just drop the car off their due to them always short staffed or having issues.
