I've visited your West Palm Beach location twice now, and both times I noticed there was no music playing while your crew was working. I also left this suggestion in a google review for the store. Yesterday, I returned--and again, no music. So I turned up my own speaker while I waited, and the shift in the team was immediate. I asked to speak with the manager on duty, who told me they do have a radio available, but the team simply doesn't use it. He added that he needed to get them a speaker. STAY AWAY!!! I had the oil changed 4 Months ago. I wondered why the removed the plastic engine cover, when the oil fill cap is assessable with the cover on. Threw the cover on the ground while I watched from the drivers seat. Then, after changing my the pop and filter, he uses channel lock to tighten down the oil cap!!! It doesn't stop there. I live in Chicago now, and I decided to change my own oil. Well, I needed channel locks to remove the oil fill cap! Wow! Finger right is a common rule. Channel locks? Wow...STAY AWAY! So once up on the Jack, I get a 6" craftsman socket wrench with a 17mm socket to remove the oil plug. I had both hands on the wrench and could NOT BREAK THE PLUG LOOSE. After some cursing, I went and got a 2' long torque wrench, to find how tight is this plug. Well, it was 180 foot pounds to break it loose...O...M...G! W...T...F!!!! STAY AWAY! Well, let's try the oil filter! Hand tightened right? NOPE!!! I tried with one hand, two hands, no budge! Put a strap wrench on it, nope, stuck on tight. I Finally borrowed a car, and bought an oil filter wrench with teeth, and after the "2 hand yank", I broke the filter loose. (See the photo) Wow, monkeys with tools and no brains or reason to work on expensive machinery. STAY AWAY! The Oil Connection used to pull out 5 quarts of Mobil 1, in the original containers, and I knew what I was getting, these guys go behind the building, and I could be getting straight 30 weight oil for all I see. But from what I saw then, and experienced today, I will never take my car to ANY Take 5 station EVER. I mean, come on, who uses channel locks on an oil fill cap? One monkey and myself I guess. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! Went for a simple oil change, only to find out days later that it was not done correctly and now my car is headed to the mechanic! Tried to get ANYONE at this location on the phone, no luck. Was on hold for 20 minutes trying to get someone to pick up the phone at their corporate office. If you're in the area, go to Bob Davis Auto, where you'll find an honest, salt-of-the earth staff that can handle both a simple oil change and major repairs. UPDATE: I see the social media team responded. I to call the shop, several times. The automated system sent the calls to corporate no matter which options I pushed. Corporate has refused to cover the repair, which was several hundred dollars. read more

Only reason for the 2 star is employees are usually always friendly and they let you know you're going to be waiting a while. Very understaffed both times I went only 2 people working and today wait time they said was an hour to an hour and a half with only 2 to 3 cars ahead of me. Not sure why they don't have more people working so many people drove off due to them letting them know they'd be waiting over an hour for drive through oil change. Not very convenient. read more

I have been to this location twice. When I arrived (on both occasions) several employees just standing around talking. I was greeted by a guy before I pulled in advising me they only had the higher end oil available and it would cost between $90-$100. I needed an oil change so I said okay. But I felt like he thought I was going to say no and I would leave. It was just bizarre to me. When I pulled up I was then greeting by a very nice young man who asked me what kind of oil I wanted. I had used the lesser grade the last time (around $45) so he suggested that one. I stated the other guy said you had the higher end oil available. He said they had it available. Ok, strange. I was in and out in about 15 minutes since I was the only one there. I had my air filter changed as well as it was needed. The reason I am giving it 4 stars for the service the young man gave me. I wish I remembered his name. He was kind, helpful and knowledgeable. I guess if the other guy helped me it would have been a lot more expensive for no good reason. read more

I went to Take 5 on 1935 N. Jog in West Palm Beach. I gave them a $20 coupon which they scanned. When they were finished they took my credit card and charged the full amount. When I asked the worker where my $20 credit was he had to get his boss. The manager Maki made me wait 20 minutes and stated that the credit was given. When I showed him the bill he said he didn't have time to deal with this. He said if it was worth $20 to wait until he took care of all his other customers than I could wait. I really wanted to like this place because it is super convenient. But we are on strike 3. First trip in they charged my wife nearly $200 for an oil change. No other service was done. The manager apologized and blamed it on a trainee pushing the wrong button and refunded the difference. And he gave us a 50% off coupon for the next service which was a nice gesture. On the next trip I took her vehicle and was pleasantly surprised at how polite and efficient they were. However once I got back home and looked under the car I realized they left both the socket and the extension stuck to the drain plug. This immediately worried me about how thorough the employees were doing the job. But everything else seemed to have been done correctly. Well she had the oil changed again yesterday and we are now on strike 3. They pulled the bottom plate to get to the filter, which is necessary on her vehicle, and obviously did not put the bolts back in. What is worse is that I am assuming instead of completely removing the entire piece it looks like they removed the back bolts and then just bent it out of the way. Obviously this is not the service you should expect when you are paying for a premium service at nearby $100 for a basic oil change. I am headed to Ford to get a new plate and bolts and we will not be returning to Take5 for anything else in the future. read more

It took a while to get my car in due to lack of staff but they gave me a free water for waiting. The wait didn't matter because they were so polite, professional, and very helpful. They never upsell me and are honest with the state of my filters and wiper blades, which I appreciate. Take 5 like it takes 5 minutes out of your day to change your oil? Yes, please. Went during my lunch break since it's around the corner from the job. It they would rotate my tires this place would be a game changer. Nothing more annoying then spending all morning at an auto place for oil change and tire rotation. Even with an appointment. Only to deal with dishonest people. Take 5 was one of the best experience I've had in a long while. So hopeful, kind and treats you like family. Kevin was the man helping me and he's wonderful. Thank you for answering my questions that I had concerns over. From showing me what needed to be replace to if I needed new tires. They don't handle tires but he looked at them anyways. I was even handed a bottle of water while I waited in my car. With this virus going on, it was nice that I could sit in my car while everything was being done. The prices are higher then what I'm use too. They do have coupons on there website, FYI. You get what you pay for and it's worth it. I would definitely recommend this place. Absolutely terrible service the manager KP is on his phone the whole time never working, when he finally did come to our car (after me saying something) he forgot to put oil in it and Mo caught it and did it himself. the other workers have trash everywhere with really rude attitudes and just walking around vaping, I was waiting for over 15 minutes before I finally said something with only one other car there and 4 workers present. Mo was the only one who seemed to be working and cleaning up after his other coworkers and was super kind and helpful after I asked for someone to get to my car, When pointing out how great of a worker mo was kp decided it was time to raise his voice and argue with me. A bit sketchy. Came here thinking it may be similar to the one in Tallahassee but it fell short. Some of the workers were wearing masks around their necks and not faces while talking with me, its a bit off putting. why have a mask on at that point. While the service seemed spot on, I did have some concerns about tire pressures and would like other issues addressed to me like the standard" your air filter is great, or tires are solid, this and that are topped off etc but nothing. I paid for a service and got not too much CS on my experience. I'd return for sure, but its a bit disappointing that when you want the detailed report of your experience this place was completely unknown. read more

Mazda doesn't service on Sundays so I had to look for another place to get my oil change. Luckily, I had passed Take 5 several times in my neighborhood and decided to look them up. They are fairly new and after looking at such positive reviews, I decided to give them a go. I give them 5 stars because the service was awesome! They greeted me at my window with a cold bottle of water! Did I mention you don't ever have to get out of your car?! They were quick and friendly. I even found a coupon on their website, which they kindly honored. They topped off all my fluids, check tire pressure and fill them with air. They even showed me my air filter, asked me about my windshield wipers. I never felt pushed or rushed. The service was above and beyond. I think I found my new place for oil changes!! read more

I have been to 3 different locations in 2 states. The only reason I continued this insanity was because I thought I would give them a chance because accidents happen. All three times I was given the wrong sized filter causing a big oil leak. I explained my previous experience the second and third time I went, but it fell on deaf ears. I wasn't reimbursed for over $70 of oil it took to get back to the locations, in addition to the WAY OVERPRICED oil change I originally paid for. I saw some new employees in the store from last time. They did oil change properly, but customer service was awful. Female has prison guard attitude. Also, I was charged little over $40 for oil change with my staff. I asked that same female two times: did price changed, last time charge was around $30 total? This was the quickest and easiest oil change experience I've ever had. You first pull up and they guide you in to the garage. They ask you what product you want and compare it to your manufacturers recommendations! You stay in the car the whole time which I loved. They fill your tires, clean your windshield and show you everything they're doing the whole time so you can rest easy know everything got done! The staff very kind a very efficient! They asked many times if there's was anything else they could do to make the experience better! Everyone was so sweet and well mannered! 10/10 would go again. read more

I had a long list of stuff typed out that occurred at my first and last visit at Take 5 Oil and Yelp app had it erased -_- well anyway long story short.. (Take 5 Oil Change on Southern Blvd) when you had just 1-2 months opened, you had unprofessional employees to work on my Cadillac CTS , oil leak , filter was placed incorrectly and made me turn on and off my car 5 times! 1 young lady and 2 young guys did a mess on my car. Will never come to any Take 5 Oil service again. Jiffy Lube even does a better job with oil changes and services.. I don't recommend getting services done there unless you have no choice. read more

Firstly, let me start by stating if it was possible to give a negative score - that would be my first choice in this situation. Originally I swung by this place because I didn't have to get out of my vehicle while they worked on replacing my oil/filter. So about half an hour goes by and the "manager" comes out to personally explain that it's taking longer than usual because the new Nissans have a plastic piece that covers the undercarriage with 27 bolts and it's taking a while to remove them and then put them back. Any way I have never gotten any work done to this car and this was my first oil change. I get home and see a piece of plastic hanging from underneath the car. So instead of neatly removing the bolts that the manager told me were taking do long, they literally just cut the plastic and folded it away so I wouldn't notice. Extremely unprofessional and will straight up lie and deceive you while they sabotage your vehicle. Be extremely cautious when dealing with this place and especially the snake like manager who slithers around and lies to customers!! Stay far away! read more
