I would like to commemorate Takkii Ramen for not only serving cc car fud, but for their service as well. I've had the opportunity to dine in multiple times. Consequently, I've had the privilege of trying out multiple of their dishes. To start off, I usually come in around 4PM on my off time and there are plenty of seats available. That said, I cannot attest for how the service or fud is during more bustling hours. When you sit down, the waiter brings these jars of cold water. Extremely helpful during a hot summer day. When I first arrived, I had the Shrimp Tempura Ramen. The tempura was perfect and crunchy, but I didn't think the actual ramen was anything special. The marinated egg was runny, the bamboo shoots were the good type of sour, and the ramen was easily gripped by the chopsticks. My second time here I ordered the Spicy Tantan Ramen and the Karaage Calamari. The ramen lived up to its name, the tantan was flavorful, the bok choy soaked up the broth extremely well, the bean sprouts were delicious as well. The Karaage Calamari earned my favorite appetizer award. The sauce that came with it helped the flavor. My third time here I went for the Sukiyaki Beef Udon, which was by far my favorite on the list. The broth was umami and rich, the udon was chewy, the beef wasn't dry, and the bok choy and bean sprouts once again soaked up the broth. I'm typically neutral to umami foods, but this dish made me question my standing. My fourth time here I went for the Seafood Udon, which consisted of mussels, shrimp, saffron, mushroom, bean sprouts, scallions, bok choy, and even some chili. The chili was a very nice touch and I enjoyed the mushrooms very cc car much. I also got takeout from this restaurant which was Takoyaki and the Tonkatsu Curry Ramen. I did not take photos because I wouldn't have done it justice. The Takoyaki was delicious and hot, I suggest waiting for it to cool down before digging in. The Tonkatsu Curry Ramen was good and the Tonkatsu was crispy. I would also like to shoutout my waitress for refilling my water without me asking, I'm a chugger and a bit socially awkward so I have a hard time asking for stuff so this was greatly appreciated. Solid spot for noodles, ramen, and rice bowls. I tried the aukiyaki beef don which had lots of thinly sliced beef, scallions, steamed vegetables, and rice. Hearty and simple. Full disclosure. I recently returned from Japan and went bananas with ramen so recency bias may be hurting this review. I had their take out before so wanted to give in person a try before writing a review. A lot of credit. Great friendly service. Creative menu. Cute spot with comfortable seating. Clearly they've accumulated a lot of positive reviews. Spicy miso ramen: The good: Pork is quite tender. Nice flavor to the shoulder cut, so more meat, less fat. Def prefer over the pork belly cut. Some nice sides. Like the bamboo is very authentic tasting. Egg done nicely. The unforgivable: the noodles were NOT Al dente. Quite soggy tbh. Friday evening with about 3-4 groups. Not overwhelmed. Having soggy noodles at a ramen place is not ok. I can't forgive this. Would be like a steak house overlooking the filet mignon. Or a sushi place that didn't use vinegar in the rice. I have a lot of trouble leaving average reviews for nice owners. Ramen is ramen though. The central part of it is the noodles. Please let me know when the noodle timing is better. Five stars, even for take out!! This place totally spoiled me. Usually when you order take out you're treated like a second class citizen. Not here. They poured me a hot cup of tea while I waited! I ordered the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen. I was told this is the most popular and rightfully so. First, it comes in a big bowl container with a little colander suspended over it. The pork broth soup (which is delightfully seasoned) is underneath and suspended over it is the ramen. Genius! Then, all of the little add-ins for your meal are in a separate container (marinated egg, bamboo, mushrooms, fish cake...). And the taste? So incredible! If I could give 10 stars I would!! read more

My friend lives close by. And she heard good things about this place. Went on a Thursday night. It wasn't that busy. But it should be. The staff was very friendly. The place is not fancy. But the food was fantastic. We started with Gyoza which is my go to. It was good. I had curry chicken don. The chicken was cooked properly and the curry was delicious and unique. I make my own curry. Only thing I have a small gripe about is that there was no spicy option available, but adding a lil home chili crisp was perfect. Came to this new ramen place which is having a soft opening. Ordered the Chashu Bowl and enjoyed it. The pork belly was tender, but the bowl could have used more sauce. Wendy, the co-owner, came over to chit-chat and I mentioned having more sauce would be nice, and she was nice enough to bring me a small bowl of sauce for the pork belly. Co-owner Chef Chen (sp?) came over to chit-chat as well and he talked about how he developed a passion for Japanese cuisine, and the method he uses to cook each ramen broth. My fiancée and I came here Saturday night for dinner. There's a parking lot in the back with plenty of parking. Also the inside is very vibrant with paintings on the wall, very welcoming. My spicy miso ramen was spicy but there were no other flavors I tasted other than the heat. I said no nori or fish cake, got the nori anyway.... The pork gyoza tasted a bit rubbery. I got the vegetarian ramen and vegetatable gyoza to-go. Both were really delicious. I liked the flavour of the vegetable ramen and I liked the crunchy ginger pieces they put in there. The only think I wasn't a fan of was the fact that adding like 2-3 pieces of bok choy cost an extra $2 which I thought was too much for the small amount in the ramen. My wife and I just had a quiet dinner here and I have to say it was phenomenal. The broth for the fried chicken ramen and the black garlic tonkatsu ramen was perfect. Not too thick, not too salty; just right. The fried chicken was very well seasoned; we had just gotten Taiwanese style popcorn chicken at the food court in Flushing's Skyview mall and the fried chicken here was easily as good as that. I've visited a few ramen shops in LI in the Syosset Huntington area and they haven't been great but the broth here was fairly rich, the egg was jammy (little softer whites would be ideal), the pork was soft (a little fatty but that's okay) and overall I thought the ramen was very good. It was a rainy Friday night. Got out of work late. I walked in at 9:45 and According to the sign they were closed and 9:30. They were already cleaning up. I asked if they by any chance would be able to put together a shoyu ramen.... They did with a smile. Wendy was so pleasant. I came home and it was yummy! The broth was flavorful. The noodles had a great texture and the other stuff was main stream but still exactly what I would want and expect from a ramen place.
