Came here because I needed to use my Amex platinum promo they resy as there aren't many participating restaurants in the area. I came with my wife and kids, the restaurant has a very quaint feel, but I felt the lights were a bit too dim so couldn't really see my menu very well, but that's just me. The menu had a lot of very interesting items which I would've tried if I wasn't with the kids. we didn't bother with any appetizer so we just started entrées . The salmon teriyaki bento-box, Yaki, udon, chicken teriyaki, seafood soondubu soup (surprised to see that on the menu ) and lastly, one of their special rolls. The salmon teriyaki was cooked pretty well no complaints came with a sushi roll and beef negimake, shrimp tempura all cooked well. The Yaki udon and chicken teriyaki were cooked well too really no complaints with any of the food. Service was adequate nothing special , the booths were a little bit uncomfortable I would advise sitting at the tables with regular chairs instead. The pricing on the food is reflective of the area that the restaurant is located in which is Woodberry and many of the restaurants around the area charge accordingly of course I probably would've never come here if it wasn't for my AMEX promo, but if I had to, I would come back and maybe just try their lunch specials. read more

Had take out for lunch, it certainly was a great experience. Went with the sashimi sushi combo as I'm trying be a bit more health conscious. The meal was amazing. It was so fresh. Their garden salad also has some corn and onions which are a nice touch. I will be returning often for the sashimi lunch. read more

Can't say enough about our positive experience. Ordered food for 9 people, and it was delivered perfectly. It was a lot of items, and they took the orders over the phone and numbered it so everyone knew exactly what was ordered! It was perfectly done and organized. The woman who took the order over the phone was patient and got everything right! The sushi was excellent and very fresh! The best sushi in woodbury. we drive all the way from wantagh just to pick it up. the owner deeply cares about the quality and presentation of every dish, as well as his staff. The manager makes a killer mango green tea - it was insane! The food is just wild here - the steak is as if you're going to a steakhouse. Brought in for the first time tonight. Pros - really fresh sushi, tried the sushi burrito which was tasty likely better in restaurant. The duck wrap was the highlight for me, delicious. Cons - my wife has a sesame allergy which we were upfront about and unfortunately they still put on the food and she wasn't able to eat her meal. I guess I am in the minority as I thought this restaurant was just okay... at best. I was excited to come here based on the reviews and especially since I LOVE torched sushi. I came here with my sister on a random weekday and we were seated promptly. Upon entry, the smell was SO overwhelming. It was basically the smell of flamed fish, of course. Poor ventilation in the restaurant. I immediately thought how my clothes are going to smell. I almost felt embarrassed that I chose this restaurant because of that smell. The restaurant was smaller than I had anticipated. I was expecting the typical modern sushi lounge and bar but alas, it was not. We ordered a fried soft shell crab appetizer and each had a lunch special, specifically the 6 torched sushi and classic roll combo. The lunch combo comes with soup and salad. The sushi chef chooses the torched sushi you get and you get to pick a classic roll of your choice. The Fried Soft Shall Crab: Literally just fried soft shell crab and a little bowl of mustard flavored dipping sauce. Poor presentation. Tasted alright. Can't really mess soft shell crab up too much. As for the torched sushi that came with the lunch combo... the lady just plopped the plates in front of us and never even told us what sushi were being presented. I kind of would want to know I am putting it my mouth. It was all really one note. Nothing memorable. The fantasy roll (spicy tuna, eel, avocado) was a good classic roll. Maybe I'll come back to try some specialty rolls and other appetizers before I cross this restaurant off my list completely. I wouldn't be running back though. read more

Heard about this new sushi place opening and I knew I had to go with my close friend for our monthly sushi date. We were greeted upon entering and brought to a booth. We both started with a kani salad. It was delicious! It wasn't overdressed with spicy mayo, and it had a great cucumber/crab balance. For my sushi roll I ordered the parfait roll. It was super fresh and very yummy. I forgot what roll my friend ordered and I also didn't take a picture, but she enjoyed it. Service was good. We weren't rushed. Our waitress checked on us often to see if we were okay and if we needed anything. Water constantly refilled when empty. Menu looked very good. Continuing on the quest for great sushi in my area, we decided to give SushiVogue a try. The name was a tiny bit off putting but my Yelp brethren were in favor so we were in. We went early (around 5:15) and it was completely empty. The restaurant is very clean and the staff were nice and accommodating. To start, we ordered Yamiano noodles which were Japanese sweet potatoes shredded to look like noodles. They were served cold with a dipping sauce. We ordered them because they looked interesting on the menu and were feeling like we wanted to try something that we've never had before. The person who took our order came back to double check with us to make sure it was what we wanted and explained exactly what it was. Still ok by us! So the yam was perhaps raw and had a strange sticky consistency, not exactly pleasant to me but my daughter gobbled it up. I needed a lot of dipping sauce to get through it. I had a feeling it was going to be something that I wasn't used to by the way our server came back to check with us before she put the order in. The presentation was very classy. We moved on to a lobster Naruto roll, mango madness roll and a spicy crab roll. All very fresh and delicious. This was definitely the best Sushi I've had so far in this area. It was definitely a step above every other place I've been to. My daughter had a bubble tea which was delicious, not to sweet. And she was in agreement about the quality of the food. By the time we were ready to leave, the restaurant filled up quite a bit, almost every table was full. We will definitely be back. I actually want to go right now! read more

Our go to sushi place. Priced well and fish is always fresh. I really enjoy their beef negimaki with mozzarella cheese. I initially would order without it as the pairing seemed odd to me. One evening I ordered it and forgot to say without the cheese and so I decided just to try it. It's so delicious and goes so well!!! I really enjoy their miso soup as well flavorful with plenty of tofu in it. read more

The restaurant deserves solid 4.5 stars for food. We arrived at prime time Sunday evening and were quickly seated. The business is quite busy that 80% of tables were occupied. Therefore, strongly suggest you to call for reservation in advance. We started off lychee mojito that I barely tasted any lychee flavor, only mojito. I definitely will skip cocktails next time. This minor drawback caused a half star deduction. For appetizers, we had tuna mango tarter, popcorn chicken, crispy rice , toro flight, and cherry blossom uni. We love all of them, especially cherry blossom uni, beautifully arranged with flavorful uni and fish roes. Salmon onigiri is HUGE though it's yum. We ordered two and couldn't finish at all. For entrees, sushi/sashimi for two is in big portion with two special rolls of your choice. Raw fish is all fresh and in good selection. Torched sushi dinner is my favorite tonight. Love those fish with a little burnt smoke on top, especially scallop. The chef perfectly made the rice too, not too loose or hard. Last but not least, the owner sent us house desserts- caramelized banana and cheesecake. This nice gesture earned back the last 0.5 star. Before I left, saw a lot of tables ordered sushi burrito and very curious about the taste. Yes, I will definitely come back to order it. read more

Also, I asked the custom made spicy tuna with quail egg over the sushi rice, which is really good! I go to Sushi Vouge almost twice a month, since I really enjoy their fresh raw fish, delicious food, and great customer service! Although there are many Japanese restaurants in Long Island area, which are hard to compete with Sushi Vouge in terms of food quality, pleasant ambiance, and reasonable price. I had been reading a lot of positive reviews to this great spot so close to home and decided to give them a try. We made reservations for the three of us and were seated immediately. This is always a plus when you have an energetic 3 yr-old. We ordered some drinks right away and an appetizer to keep the little one occupied and then started to look over the menu. At least three different servers came often to check on us and made sure to keep glasses filled and plates removed. Eating with small children really changes the dynamic of a meal and they did an excellent job in understanding that if the children are happy, so, too, will be the parents. Everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and timely- hot or cold when appropriate. Prices are what you would expect for Long Island and are neither a bargain or over the top. I'm reserving the fifth star for our next visit and if it measure up to our last, they will be seeing us much much more often. Well done! read more

This place just opened up recently. It has a nice and modern look inside. The Toro Flight appetizer came with three different types of fusion sushi pieces and they taste surprisingly good. We also ordered New Style Usuzukuri and Sushi For Two. They give pretty good amount of food and the raw fish is fresh. It has a good ambiance and I think this place is good for all occasions. Stopped in to this new Sushi Vogue Restaurant looking for an inexpensive lunchbox special for takeout today. I found that Sushivogue provided quite a large Salmon Teriyaki Kitchen Lunch Box for $18 plus up charges. While you can save 10% online, I decided to go inside to wait and meet the owners. The chef, Tommy Yeh is the owner. He was busy preparing sushi. His wife and daughter, Tammy took my order and prepared it to go. One thing though, be aware, there is an upcharge for the purple rice (brown and black) and an up charge to change the soup choice and more upcharges ... As a side note, this lovely, enterprising family moved to Valley Stream from Taiwan 6 months ago and opened their restaurant only 6 weeks ago, May 2021. The classic roll choice is yours. You get to pick it out from the menu list. I tried the mango tango roll. It was good, nothing special. Added crunchy flakes to it. But, what was super was the grilled salmon collar that came with Lunch. Loved it. The steamed egg custard was bland. The salad's ginger dressing was very good and the salad as all other places, just same ole, same ole. If looking for a solid, good sushi place, this is a nice establishment and a staple choice. For appetizers, we ordered New Style Uszukuri and Cherry blossom uni. They both tasted delicious. We loved Cherry blossom uni. Uni is very fresh with Yam under. For entress, we had sushi/sashimi for two is in big portion with two special rolls of your choice. The displays were pretty! Raw fish were all very fresh, however, the two sushi special rolls we picked were not as good as we expected. One is Pink panter rolls, they season with cumin which I personally don't think it goes well with sashimi. We also ordered L.A. Galbi as entress. Its overcooked a little bit so it ends up too dry. Sushivogue is a relatively new sushi restaurant in Woodbury and they have made quite a splash in the sushi scene here for me. On this occasion my girlfriend had their general tso's lunch box while I ordered their torched sushi lunch special. Starting with the lunch box, it delivered on everything it contained. The general tso's chicken was crispy, not overly saucy or spicy, and it wasn't dry. The assorted tempura were delicate and crisp while the shrimp shumai was up to par. For the included roll, she chose the mango tango roll, the fish tasted good and the rice was well seasoned and soft, I'm not the biggest fan of mango in my sushi but this one was good. Onto the main event, their torched sushi that they seem to pride themselves on and I fully understand why. When the fish gets torched it helps render the fat making the fish tender and melty, the torched salmon belly nigiri however, stood head and shoulders above the others. Due to it's naturally higher fat content than it's other fishy friends, the salmon belly becomes BUTTER after being torched, it quite literally falls apart in your mouth. I devoured every piece of sushi and enjoyed every single one. Sushivogue is certainly making their presence known in the LI sushi scene, I will be back again. read more
