Awesome ramen spot. I've been on a ramen kick lately and there seems to be alot of new places opening so i decided to try this place. It's in a very small strip mall with parking. It wasn't busy when I was there and parking wasn't an issue. The vibe inside is definitely cool and it fits the restaurant. The food was good and the service was awesome. My bf and I randomly popped in here while we were in the area and were SOO pleasantly surprised. Ramen on Long Island can be really hit or miss but Naruto Ramen did not disappoint. We both got the spicy miso ramen; my bf prefers ground pork in his ramen over chashu so he was pleasantly surprised they had it as many ramen spots don't. They were both great, and you get a lot for your money. Also, the marinated egg in the ramen was literally the best ramen egg I've ever had (and I'm picky about the eggs in ramen). Nice cozy, whimsical place. Lots of Naruto and anime characters on display. It needs a nice capsule vending machine like Japan :-) The pork gyoza is delicious. Served on a plate with six pieces and tangy soy sauce. The karage (SP?) Fried chicken pieces are super delicious made with thigh meat. The sauce is not too spicy. O had ramen R1 chasu ramen. Naru Ramen in Plainview NY on Woodbury Road is my new Ramen place to go. The boss said they've been there about 2 years. Funny thing i happened across it looking for the Pelicana in the same shopping center. Though the later changed their hours to 12 noon, so I stopped into Naru and ordered lunch here. It was a cold night in Plainview. I heard about this new ramen place that recently opened and decided to give it a try. I went with Shoyu Ramen. It had grilled chicken, half egg, bean sprouts, bamboo, scallion and of course ramen noodles. I also put in a special request to have the broth be spicy. It was really yummy! The spice was on point and all the other flavors were delish. The chicken had a really nice sear to it. Serving was very generous. I have yummy leftovers for tomorrow. I ordered delivery. Was excited about having a Ramen place in the neighborhood but soon became disenchanted. First the positive - staff were friendly and helpful. The interior was nicely designed , and had attractive seating. My review is based on kinky one dish unfortunately . I saw unfortunately as there was only one ramen dish to have that was vegetarian . So that is what I got . When I got home there was ramen on the bottom of the bowl with 1 slice of tomato, 2 florets of broccoli, 2 slices of tofu and 2 bamboo shoots. Then there was a container with the vegetable broth that you pour over. The broth was actually the best part. Was disappointed that there were not many vegetarian options , when it seems like there could be. $13 for that bowl seems pretty high considering what I got and how cheap those ingredients were. Went in on a cold afternoon to slurp on some good hot ramen. Went with their chaushu ramen with some added spiciness. As I waited I couldn't help but reminisce on my days when I was reading Naruto manga. They've got some Naruto posters, Madara action figures and have the theme going around but not too much. Found this place cause we were craving ramen and usually have to go all the way to Queens or Huntington to get it. So when it showed us there was a Ramen spot literally only 15 min away from us we had to try it. And boy was it the best find for us. It's hard to find good authentic ramen and Naruto his all points for authenticity, presentation and taste! Both the kashu ramen and the spicy miso ramen were so flavorful and delicious. The meat was well cooked and served with just enough pieces to satisfy the belly. As for the kashu pork bun. Wow what a treat. There was just enough portion of sauce, bun and meat. The service was impeccable and the time from when you order to when you get your food was perfect. May I add well prices for the amount of food you receive. I live in Smithtown which is loaded with Ramen places but non compare to Naru. Fortunately I work nearby and me and the guys love visiting for lunch. I have tried several menu items and I have never been disappointed. Their stir fried ramen is excellent and not available in most ramen restaurants. Service is fast and friendly. A little pricey, but if you upgrade to the combo for $5, you get a ramen, bubble tea and chicken sandwich all for under $20 and you can't beat that. Too bad the food isn't amazing. Everything is mediocre. The broth is bland, milk tea doesn't taste like real there's milk or tea in it and the chicken sandwich is alright. Aside from the friendly service, the food was on point. We had the pork gyoza which they sear crispy on one side I had the Kimchi ramen and he had the miso ramen. I am so sad. This place used to be my go to place for quick and delicious ramen. A few months ago I would have ordered ramen from this place everyday if I could! This is a great ramen spot, especially for Long Island if you don't want to drive out all the way to Huntington or to Queens/the city. We are major ramen heads and we indulge often in the city. The particular time we went to Naruto Ramen was during their dinner rush hour and boy, did it get busy! With that being said, the orders were coming out after a long wait. It was Labor Day when we went and there was only one person out front and a small amount of cooks in the back. I understood the long wait time due to these circumstances. They get a lot of online orders as well so to fulfill all the online orders as well as dine ins was a lot for a small place. There are a good amount of seats inside but they filled up quick during the rush. Anyway, the decor inside is, as guesses, all Naruto themed! My stepdaughter started picking up on the Naruto anime and was so enamored with the decor. We each got a different ramen (chasu, miso, and beef) and pork buns to share. All were very delicious. The broth was scrumptious. Pork buns were yummy- tender and full of flavor. We just had water for drinks and they bring a large pitcher to share. When you go in, you order at the counter. Then you can take a seat anywhere. They will bring you your food. The person at the counter who also gave us our food was very nice and handled the patrons well, even if they were not so understand. Good experience- just be patient if they have a sudden influx of orders and not many people working :-) we will definitely be back, especially since it's close to home ! read more

Short take- I probably won't be back. I got dinner with my family there and it was just so so. Chashu pork ramen was ok. Vegetable ramen was a hard pass. Chicken buns were fine but not great. Tea drinks were ok and the mango slushy was actually nice. Maybe I am being unfair. I used to frequent Momofuku and Ippudo in Manhattan. Moving out to Long Island I found MB Ramen to be delicious too. I was excited to find a place down the block from my home. Unfortunately this place misses the mark. The soup is bland and the noodles seem over cooked and almost prepackaged. The pork is not tender enough. The soft boiled egg was nice though. The vegetable ramen had random vegetables. I was almost like they just took what was lying around and threw it together. If you have ever seen the movie Tampopo, then you understand what it takes to make a good bowl of ramen. I Googled "Ramen places" whilst I was in this area and this was one of the first results that popped up, so I decided to pop in and see what it was like. The storefront is located in a small business strip off of Woodbury road so it can be easily missed if you're driving by fast enough, but there were plenty of spots up front and there's a another connecting area for additional cars. The store looks like a converted Chinese takeout place, so seating wasn't anything special, but has room to accommodate 6 people at once for larger groups, but the rest of the seating was a standard 2 person set up. No counter seating like I'd expect from other ramen shops. I ordered the chashu ramen as that one had the tonkotsu broth. Ramen noodles were cooked well enough, has a little bit of chew which I appreciate a lot. The broth itself was pretty good, as what I was expecting for this style of ramen. It was topped with 3 slices of chashu pork, half a ajitama (marinated ramen egg), kikurage mushrooms, green onion, a slice of naruto (fish cake, with the pink whirlpool design) corn, red ginger. The menu states it should have bamboo shoots but I don't know if they didn't have it today or I couldn't identify it in the bowl. Overall, this was a solid bowl of ramen for not that much money comparatively speaking. Definitely filling for a quick meal. I ordered the kara-age appetizer as well, but I think I may have ordered too much food for myself. Appetizer is definitely shareable and if you haven't had kara-age, it's basically Japanese fried boneless chicken thigh chunks served with a spicy lemon aioli dip along with it. It was quite tasty as well. I'd have this place 3.5 stars overall, great if you're looking for something quick and not wallet busting. read more
