Worst plasma donation center in Minnesota. Was lured in by them telling me I would receive $100 because I hadn't donated there since November but if have to do the new donor physical and stuff. Friday I did physical questionnaire, videos and when I did the blood draw my hemocrit was off so I had to come back yesterday(Sunday) came in early to noon appointment and I was last to leave after 4 pm. I was not giving the $100 as promised but only $40. I talked to management and he was unwilling to make things right. 5 hours, actually 8 hours later I get $40 read more

I donated once and when I went in the second time the staff there were confrontational because I donated at another center and they were asking the dates that I donated there last. I didn't have a calender in front of me so when they were throwing out dates for me I got a little nervous and wasn't quite sure the exact date I did. When I said yes to a date that sounded right they said I lied on my paperwork and that I was kicked out so they deferred me!! I made a mistake and they wouldn't even hear me out. They were EXTREMELY rude to me. They seemed like they wanted to find a reason to kick me out or something. Or they have the kind of attitude where they get a little bit of control they all of the sudden are smarter than everyone. They spoke down to me and made me feel less than their equal. I couldn't believe it. I even asked to speak to the lady that initially did my intake and they wouldn't let me. They just kicked me out right then and there. Wouldn't let me explain, or speak to a manager, NOTHING! Worst experience as a client/ customer ever! And I've been at other plasma centers. I was happy the first day but the second day was terrible. The Griflos experience was the worst I ever experienced. So I referred multiple people to this location who added me for a reference. They looked for anyway to defer me. When asked if I had asthma I replied yes informing I out grew kt and rarely used my inhaler. They used asthma as a way to defer me and keep all the referrals. What to take away from this don't tell this place things you don't need to for they will use it against you. Even the doctor stated they couldn't believe this place deferred me when my asthma doesn't affect anything. They were also very unprofessional when I called and the manager tried to back me down on filing and submitting my compliant. I told her the complaint stands and I will still be sending a copy to corporate and the attorney general. read more

Had the most professional and kind experience. Michaela, Mai, Brittany, Kevin, and Janet were all wonderful and answered every question I had and made me feel very taken care of. It is very clean and they were able to get me in right away even though I had to do the new donor testing and consent form, they were very clear that sometimes it can take up to four hours, but I was done in just two! I have gone to Biolife twice a week for over a year. In that time, they bruised my arm once. I went to Talecris 6 times and 5 times, they bruised my arm so badly it couldn't be used the next donation. The 6th time, I couldn't use my main arm because it was so bruised from 2 donations ago. Once, I was in intense pain from the machine and spent 20 minutes waving to get attention. No one came, so I gave up. All the employees were standing in the opposite corner from people currently donating. When helping someone start/finish, they would run away immidately afterwords without looking towards donors. Additionally, they will not stop calling me. I have explained that I moved and asked them to stop. But I still get multiple calls a week from them asking for my blood. read more

First of all, this place will hold you over 6 hours your first time donating. Second of all they have UNLICENSED children inserting the needles into our arms. I left with two bruised and swollen arms because they let children try and find my veins. Not cool. How about get some professionals???? And ontop of that the front desk is always SNOBBY. Don't know how to treat donators, without us you would have a job! Tried to come in and donate a second time and they argue with me about why I need to have my lease even tho I had already brought in two pieces of mail the FIRST time I donated, whoever looked at my mail never wrote down I brought it in so now I can't donate because the guy at the desk never saw my mail? Now I have to wait to donate all because your employees messed up? Sounds like you need to communicate better and write things down when you should. You're fucking up my schedule by not letting me donate when I come in to donate because y'all wanna make me bring in mail twice??? Don't come here they will continue to be snobby and give you the run around and every single time I come here it's an absolute shit show. read more

Lots of people come here to complain when things are inconvenient, but I want to share my experience as a healthcare professional. I work in Transfusion Medicine (blood bank and cellular therapy) and about 75% of my job is maintaining a constant awareness of local, state, federal, international and commercial regulations/accreditations, making sure we're compliant and responding to any changes or noncompliances. I sincerely hope this place gets an actual unannounced federal inspection, and what I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall for that one. For a start, they don't follow cGDP (current good documentation practices). I saw several instances of red flag documentation practices. FDA (and all the other regulatory bodies) will love seeing that, but I suspect they're doing non-concurrent documentation, which, once again, is grounds for citation. cGDP is a core component of maintenance of manufacturing, and when that area has weaknesses, in my experience, you can be reasonably certain other areas will too. Again, I can say this from my own professional experience, both being an inspector and having my work units inspected about 100 times in the 12 years of my career. For my personal experience and feelings about this center: I found this center and their process to be, in a word, terrible. And that's saying something, I am about the most easy going person you can imagine. I legit pulled up this Yelp account that's YEARS old because I cannot believe how bad this was. 1. Completely arbitrary mileage/distance rules (the assistant told me that each center (despite being in the Twin Cities metro) are allowed to decide on the range they allow donors to come from. 50 miles? 75 miles? Good luck finding out which! 2. Wait time. I have spent a total of 4 hours waiting in this place's lobby across 2 visits. 3. THEY OUT TRANS PEOPLE because their policies are not built to handle trans people. It's 2023, come on. Also, their trans criteria are massively outdated (kept asking about "THE SURGERY" and saying FULLY TRANSITIONED). This is not the appropriate language to use, and it's not unreasonable to expect better from a company that works with the public. I work in blood banking (far more highly regulated) and it's not like that anywhere else, for any other blood or cell therapy product. 4. Completely nonsense deferral policies. Back surgery to remove a disk? Perfectly fine! Back surgery to remove a disk and a 1 inch piece of bone? DEFFERED! They also can't tell you an actual reason, just keep saying 'it's policy'. And riddle me this, their deferral policy for a colonoscopy is 6 MONTHS, apparently because of infection risks. Dude, if you're going to get an infection from a colonoscopy, it's not going to take 6 months to show up. A perforation will make itself known in hours, not months. I'd be very interested in knowing what published evidence they have for a 6 months deferral due to colonoscopy-related infection. 5. Scheduling. Apparently the calendar software they use must be a wreck because they scheduled me for a totally different WEEK, then verbally confirmed with me the correct date. Well, it was wrong. Normally this wouldn't bother me, because they fixed it, but it was the SECOND instance of this happening (mind you, I've been there TWICE, and both times it happened). Oh, and if you're calling the center? Expect to call AT least 3 times before anyone answers. Avoid Telecris and DEFINITELY avoid this center. The employees are really friendly and it's a nice place, but they have some VERY big issues that need to be addressed. read more

The crew at Grifols in St. Paul on Suburban st were terrific. I am a new/returning donor and the entire staff made me feel welcome.

racist staff made a Mexican man write his name on paper after he stated it clearly and spelled it twice for them in perfect English. know staff isn't hearing impaired because she understood me just fine. I also know that if my ears, that have worked around airplane engines for the last 10 years could hear him from 20 feet away, the staff surely could from 6 feet. it was upsetting to watch. read more

Great staff! This was my 2nd donation center. I had issues with the first in regards to staff, cleanliness and clientele. WSP made me feel welcome. They get to know you and ensure your donation goes smoothly. read more

Ever since they switched over to the new machines, the donation times have been much longer. No fault of the staff, as they are still working hard and do their best to get you through as quickly and safe as possible. The longer times seem to be due to the fact that they are short staffed and have less new machines. The longer donation times is the only reason for not giving them a "good" review. read more

Good place nice people. Just make sure you have the time to spend there if they are busy.
