Decided to check out this store and potentially buy stuff for my orchid. I always try to look around first and it felt like the guy working there was pushing me to leave. I'm on the spectrum so I really have to take my time. I ended up getting sold overpriced supplies and the guy had no idea what he was doing. I didn't get a sense of actual care and knowledge of plants. They just want to sell to us gullible people that love nature. read more

Went in for some soil, left with a couple plants! A dragon tree and euphorbia cactus have been on my list for a while and I found both at a great price, couldn't pass them up! The woman and man who work there are honestly such nice people and really helpful. Tutu and Brian have done it again! I first fell in love with Talise Garden in the Multnomah Village French Quarter. When I heard about the new NW Portland location, I did cartwheels. The owners, a truly lovely couple, are so incredibly talented. They work hard, and have great taste and knowledge about their beautiful plants. The shop is ever so carefully laid out, in order to fit a large variety of plants and pots (sooo many fun plants, pots and plant stands). Pride and love oozes from every corner at Talise Garden. My favorite part, Tutu and Brian always greet with a sincere and friendly smile. They truly care about taking care of their customers. They have a magical way of making one almost feel like family, or an old friend. Lucky me! It's the Holiday season, so time to stop by Talise Gardens again. Hello best plant shop in the Pearl/NW/Downtown!! Tutu and Brian are so helpful, so sweet, very welcoming. They have an amazing collection of house plants, pots, air plants. They have a super helpful sign at the register for different types of plants you're looking for (hard to kill!). Besides their plants of course, the best thing about their store are the prices! I got a cute little desk cactus with an awesome little pot..and Tutu didn't charge for repotting it..all for $10!! Can't wait to go back! I recently moved to this neighborhood from the Eastside, so I was thrilled to find a local plant store still open. The owners, Tutu and Brian, have safety precautions in place to make sure we all feel safe in their wonderful shop. They do a great job to make every single customer feel welcomed, and they already know me by name. Talise has a great selection of houseplants, both common and rare. The store is covered in plants - and I am sure you're to find what you need and so much more there. I have made an effort to stop in once per week to say hey and to checkout the new plant stock. They always have some new fun houseplants ready for us. Thank you so much for brining warmth and plant passion to our neighborhood, especially during COVID. Small but mighty plant store in the Pearl District! They pack a huge selection into a small space, all without the shop feeling cramped. They also do not stock too much of any one plant, so you aren't trying to pick through dying plants as you make your selections. Everything is fresh and well-cared for. The owners are friendly and genuinely happy to meet and get to know new customers. Even their kids come out and spend some time. It's a truly welcoming place to come. Their prices are slightly below other boutique plant shops. They have a few pots to choose from as well, with those prices being on par with what I've seen elsewhere. It's not cheap, but you're getting healthy, unique plants from lovely people! Once you make your selections, Tutu wraps the plants individually and bags everything up in a way that preserves the plant and the cleanliness of your car. I also appreciated their cheat sheets at the register. Need to know what plants are pet-friendly? They have a list. What plants help purify the air or thrive in certain conditions? More lists. Need to know what a plant symbolizes for a special occasion? You guessed it, they've researched it all and made a list for you. The thought and consideration put into every detail is extraordinary. Talise Garden is truly a wonderful little plant shop, right in the heart of the Pearl District. I've been in a few times now, and I'm always impressed with their selection and their customer service. It's a great addition to the neighborhood and I hope that they do well. It's a small space, but they make of the most of it, filling every nook and cranny with a wide variety of house plants. They've got most aesthetics covered, along with a range of light needs and ease of care. When I was asking around about low light plants that didn't feel like "office plants" they were quick with suggestions. They also have a nice selection of containers, tasteful and (i think) locally-made. As much as I'd like to have ALL THE PLANTS, I know that I shouldn't. Still, I'll be happy to revisit Talise Garden the next time my green thumb starts to itch. read more

I was told to visit Talise by a Burrow interior designer and wow, I'm so glad he suggested it! Tutu was SO incredibly helpful in finding the right plants for my home. After showing her some pictures of my space she went to work giving me some great low maintenance plants that would do well with my lighting. She then helped find the perfect pot. Her husband delivered the plant quickly after. Giving me tips on how to take care of it. Honestly I could not have asked for a better experience buying plants for my home. They helped us choose plants and pots for our apartment that were aesthetically pleasing, safe for our cats, and easy to take care of. Very cute store and nice people, but was sold an "albo monstera" for 150 turns out its an epipremnum. Not happy with this.

My partner and I love coming in here! They have a beautiful selection of plants and pots, comprehensive lists of what is and isn't pet-safe, easy/hard to kill, high/low light, etc, and they're just SO NICE. And helpful. And there are always really good sales! Today we went in for a couple new plant babies and Tutu repotted them for free (with rocks at the bottom!), and gave us a ton of good advice on how to keep them healthy. Especially as the weather warms up we're excited to stop into Talise more often. A great addition to the neighborhood. read more
