Always love my Mexican Lagers and especially during the summer. In the case with Talisman I enjoyed their version of this lager fairly well but felt like there wasn't anything that made it really stand out. But refreshing all the same as it was a typical, warm sunny day. Nice atmosphere here and friendly beertenders still made this a worthy stop. read more

If you're starting to get into sours, they have a nice variety of fruity sours. I learned that due to state law, they cannot serve beers over 5(?)% ABV on draft; only in cans. The girl that served me was very chill and pleasant; smiles all the time. Seating area inside is small and quiet for relaxing. read more

There is not a beer that I've tried that I haven't liked. However, I think the Bel's Fury Red Ale has to be my favorite. It's full of flavor and a great beer for anytime. I like Talisman because they do a great job at offering a variety of beers. They range from the standard Utah 4% all the way up to 12%. You've got lots of IPA's, but they also make Porters, Stouts, Ales, and after talking to the owners it sounds like they have even more tasty things brewing! They do a lot of fun seasonals so if you're a local make sure to follow them on social media to see what they are serving up! I most recently came here for Beer Yoga which was a blast! I guess they do this monthly and they might start doing it more often since people love it so much. It was $15 and came with 1 hr of yoga plus FIVE 3-oz samples of their beer. Yum! They also said they might offer other fun events in the future like paint nites, so definitely check out their events to see what they decide to plan for the future! You can come to their store to get their tasty beers, head to a liquor store, or just about any restaurant that focuses on serving local beers carries them now. I'm 99% positive I've even seen the 4% ones in the grocery store. Definitely keep your eye out for Talisman if you are a lover of good, local beer! read more

I stopped into Talisman for a flight because I was on a business trip and wanted a good craft beer. Lord, they did not disappoint. My favorite was the Killer Grove, a blood orange honey wheat. It was so smooth, citrusy but not overbearing and a lovely beer for summer. I also loved their seasonal Gose! If I ever make it back to SLC, I will be retiring!!! The beer just keeps getting better and better here. This is a mostly beer joint with a small bar area and somewhat limited indoor and outdoor space (always easy to find a spot to hang out, though!). Whoever they have behind the bar most days is stellar. Super nice and knowledgeable guy. They tinker with several styles, so there's something for everyone. They've really stepped up their IPA game the last few months, and the Spindrift has become an awesome staple. Great spot, great service, and great suds! read more

Great little spot hidden in North Ogden. The beers are quality and you can get a real one (aka more than 4%). The tap room is dog friendly and great for socializing. The service was superb and I loved that the bathroom had the beer lotion they sell for you to try after you wash your hands. read more

I was made aware by a gentleman named Dusty that my original review was rather vague and I am here to elaborate about my experience. I am not sure about the affiliation between Dusty and this establishment, but I am more than happy to elaborate on my experience. Upon entering there was the overpowering strong smell of something that was not pleasant. I can only assume it's from the beer being brewed in house. It was an emanating odor that I would not be able to sit through for a long drink here. I stated that the customer service was not exceptional. That is because upon entering, there was no greeting or instruction so me and my friend sat wherever. After waiting 10 minutes and no one coming to us, we figured we then had to go to them. My friend went to place our orders, we came to try the beer flights. The staff was not helpful when asked to elaborate on the award winning beers served there. Said staff even incredulously asked if he was suppose to explain and give detail about ALL the beers they offer. Correct me if I'm wrong, for award winning beer, you should be happy to gloat and up sell that to your customers. So the customer service was very rude and unfriendly. So we just took the first four beers that were listed on their menu. These beer flights? They were actually just beer shots which was rather disappointing, it's not enough to taste much, but it was enough for me to taste that all four of the beers tasted watered down. The staff didn't even ask how our award winning beer tasted, which was strange. They don't sell food here that is correct, and that is another reason why I would not return. Who doesn't like a good appetizer with their food? They allow you to order from other places and eat there, but I love to try everything a place has to offer. read more

The beer is outstanding. All of them! Someone else made a review it tasted watered down? It's not watered down, it just tastes GREAT! Very easy to drink. Many micro brews I try I feel like I need a pick and shovel to get to the bottom. It's about the only beer I drink anymore, it's that good. I drive from Bountiful to Ogden once a month just to stock up. Try it, you won't be disappointed. read more

We were first time visitors and left with a wealth of information about the beer, the local community, the brewery business, the fun events they host(beer and yoga) and the food options. She made us feel super welcome and that along with the delicious beer takes Talisman to the top of our list for Utah breweries. read more

Great service and the brew is fair. They do not serve food although a couple of local restutaunts deliver. The decor is casual plain and the Utah beer laws restrict you to a 3.2 abv with no bottle beer sales. Go about another 80 miles and you can get a real beer in Idaho. read more

Best beer in Ogden. We arrived at the 5th anniversary Oktoberfest celebration and had great beer and food truck "Asian loaded fries". The beer was so good that we bought a "canned on site" Mai Tai beer and a couple of bottles of the hazy IPA to enjoy back at home in Portland, OR. read more

Went here for the first time today. I purchased a couple different beers and they were all good. I'm usually pretty picky with my stouts but they definitely make them amazing. They are in the process of opening a lounge area in the brewing area which will be nice and a good place to hangout. The employees are super nice and very knowledgeable about there beer. They also have a lot of cool nice merch for sale that I plan on buying soon. read more
