    Birria Tacos and Horchata
    Nicole T.

Decided to come in here before work. Have visited other locations. Everything was amazing. The horchata was 10/10!!! I almost drank the whole thing in one go. For food I ordered the birria tacos. They were very flavorful but for me I would've liked more cheese in it. Didn't really get much at all. But besides that very delicious!

I really wanted this to be a 5 star review. But honestly, I was really disappointed. The service wasn't bad but it just felt like there was no effort to take care of the customer. The chips, salsa, and guacamole was delicious and tasted super fresh. But the tacos....were COVERED in oil. They were extremely greasy and each corn tortilla was soaked in it. I had to ask for plain corn tortillas since both my dish and my friends had so much oil dripping from each tacos. When I asked for them, there was just no effort or haste from the individuals working there to make things right. As an avid taco-lover, I found that I was really disappointed in this place.

The Talkin' Tacos is known for their heavy fluorescently colored Day of the Dead skull theme throughout. This was post lunch time so it was empty, but thats what I like. The manager gave me a quick tour of the taco menu and chose the Carne Asada for $5.00. The street taco was small (well it's a street taco) well seasoned and two lime wedges that I lightly squeezed onto the beef and onions. Took a light grip of the taco and sadly the shell fell apart in my big paws. So, instead of an enjoyable moment with my pygmy sized meal, I was forced to quickly shove the taco into my mouth in an attempt to save some of the shell's delicate structure. Scooped up the fallen beef with my hand from the bowl trying not to waste a morsel. Aside from the failed composition of the corn tortilla shell, there was a shockingly insane burst of flavor with every bite. The manager (in training) provided me a $10.00 gift card to apply toward an online order, which was a powerful marketing tool. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with a modern deep sink and dark gray tile. Bronze colored skulls lined the wallpaper continuing that Day of the Dead theme which was an excellent touch of detail. The staff cleanliness form on the back of the bathroom door exemplifies a sense of pride by management. Even with the tortilla disaster, which has happened at a few other taco hot spots, but not an excuse, this taco joint has top notch customer service with flavor packed beef tacos. Easily a strong 4.6 star rating and will return.

First time here! I decided to try them out for lunch so I picked up the Birria Ramen with a side of Street Corn in a Cup. Inside seems a bit dark. The walls are literally painted black and they have black lighting. Even the floor and tables are black. I am assuming this has a different effect when it is night time. I on the other hand wouldn't eat here. Upon walk in, I was greeted. I didn't see any menus around so the cashier told me to order at the kiosk and I could see the whole menu on there. I don't really have anything negative to say. The food was an instant hit of flavor in your mouth. They gave me a lot of ramen. I could not finish it so I saved the rest for later. As well as the street corn. Overall, not bad.

The decor is dark but very nice. We were immediately greeted by the staff. You have to order and pay for your food at the kiosk. I ordered the shrimp Barrito with Fried fish. The burrito was very large and tasty. I also ordered the bowl of Mexican corn. This was my very first time trying Mexican Street Corn, and I loved it.

Talkin Tacos consistently provides wonderful service and delicious food. The neon skulls are (somehow) inviting and within their many menu options, you're bound to find a favorite dish. Mine happens to be the steak quesadilla, but on this particular day I got three tacos: 2 shrimp tacos and 1 fish taco. The tacos are always PACKED and the ingredients always taste fresh. Plus, you can wash all this great food down with one of their tasty lemonades. Overall, Talkin Tacos does the talk just as well as it walks the walk.

I had the vegan tacos made with mushroom. It was a bunch of salt. The corn shell was soft. So it was mush on a soft shell. The guacamole tastes like it came from a can. It left much to be desired. The people were very nice and the restaurant was clean. The best part of the food experience was the freshly made chips.

My sons ate here recently and recommended we go together. Honestly, I was surprised that this may have been the best mahi burrito I've ever had. It came out warm and just as I ordered it. The ordering was super easy through a standalone electronic ordering machine which allowed a personalized order--as I didn't want the mayo or pico de gallo. You enter a name and number and a nice attendant brought it out when it was ready. It was ready quick and the attendant was very friendly and brought out a takeaway container too when requested. The seating was comfortable and there was nice background music too. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely be back.

Yummmmmmm! Took a Uber to the suburbs to enjoy wonderful avocado dip and birra tacos. Fresher than fresh. Rolled up to a large parking lot share with other businesses. . Found ourselves a kiosk placed our order and paid. Food came out hot fresh. This place does not have a bar. So we did not say long. Loved the decoration and atmosphere.

Decided to visit Talkin Tacos for Taco Tuesday. This place was formerly another taco/mexican place with a similar format. Upon arriving I was greeted by the staff, which were extremely helpful and nice. The two ladies working the floor are doing an amazing job. The restaurant has a cool/dark vibe. Some people might find a bit too dark but I didn't mind. I actually had to use the camera flash for my pictures. I felt the place was actually cool and pretty clean, including the bathroom. I ordered my food using the kiosk station, which is very nice because you get to see photos of how each dish looks like. I ordered their taco tuesday special, which was 2 tacos of choice, another second dish of choise and a drink. I choose the birria tacos (Corn Tortilla, Chihuahua Cheese, Beef Birria, Onions and Cilantro, served with consome). I thought it was very flavorful but on the small side. Would order again. Also ordered the birria burrito, (Flour Tortilla, Mexican Rice, Refried Beans, Chihuahua Cheese, Lettuce, Pico de Gallo, Takis, Avocado Salsa, and Sour Cream. (Served with Chips). This one was pretty decent size but less flavorful. For the size of it, there should have been more of the meat and the other ingredients and less rice. Wouldnt order again. To drink I chose the passion fruit drink, which I found out later it was a bottle of jarrito. This was a huge meal which could be shared by two people. I only ate half and to the rest to go. I'd come back again to try some of their other dishes.

This should be a ghost kitchen cause paying $20 for a burrito a little bigger than a can of soda is bonkers. The flavor is good but again not worth the $20 for the sizet. Let me ask my boss for a raise just to back again .

    Quesadilla with consommé
    Monique Y.

I was super happy when they opened up this restaurant near my station. The location in Miramar is always a hit! Upon arrival the line to order food was taking forever at the kiosk and the cashier made no effort to assist. ..First red flag. Second, the food took over 25 minutes and was cold and room temperature. The Birria quesadilla was flavorless and the consommé was lukewarm and also flavorless. The quesadilla was soggy and no cheese on the outside. The nachos were just okay. The semi hot meat with cold toppings made the nachos a bit soggy. Third red flag, customer service was horrible! Someone at the table called the cashier and he abruptly yelled what in a confrontational manner! Both cashiers also seemed like they did not want to be bothered. Restaurant was clean and chic decor! Prices are decent compared to the market.

Native Angeleno on the East Coast…read more The happy hour margaritas were excellent--balanced, refreshing, and exactly what you hope for after a South Florida afternoon. The nachos arrived with enough confidence to challenge two healthy appetites (I'm 6'6", 250; my dining companion is 5'10", 210), and we barely made a dent. Generous portions are one thing; generous portions done well are another. Only then did the comparisons begin. I came into El Camino with the familiar Los Angeles calibration around Mexican cuisine--not superiority, just perspective. In Los Angeles, Mexican food is woven into the city's identity: Guelaguetza's mole, El Cholo's century-old traditions, Sonoratown's precision, even the old Red Onion era of Cal-Mex comfort that defined a different generation of neighborhood dining. El Camino doesn't try to recreate Los Angeles. It embraces its own South Florida rhythm, and that's precisely why it succeeds. Service was polished without ever feeling rehearsed. Nick, Dustin, and Arnav made hospitality look easy, while Alex--Wyatt Earp behind the bar--added the final flourish with expertly crafted cocktails. The atmosphere may be the restaurant's greatest strength. Lively without feeling chaotic, energetic without becoming overwhelming, it's the kind of place where conversations linger and people genuinely seem happy to be there. Different coast. Different rhythm. Same satisfaction.

So I turned to Yelp for help because I was in the mood for something fun and lively. El Camino landed on my short list thanks to the reviews for its atmosphere and big, filling dishes. We arrived around 6 p.m. and were seated almost immediately. Our server recommended I try the Watermelon Margarita. It was good, admitting it wasn't mind-blowing but definitely a refreshing choice and can see why it's a favorite here. Now on to the main event. We started with their Smoked Brisket Loaded Nachos. She warned us they were stacked, and visually I can admit they absolutely were. That said, they could've added more brisket as it was hiding in the middle, and the cheese wasn't as warm as I'd hoped. It didn't give that "right out of the kitchen" vibe since it had already hardened a bit. The brisket that was there, though, was flavorful. I was in the mood for tacos, so I went with a mix of fish, pork belly, and sofrito, served with refried beans and rice. We also ordered the steak quesadilla and the shrimp and steak fajitas. We dab a lot from each others food, yes we're that kind of family, so when I say ''we it's because we all get to taste and share each others dishes. The portions here are pretty solid, I'd even go as far as suggesting sharing if you're not trying to leave completely stuffed. My very hungry son couldn't even finish his quesadilla, and I barely made it through my tacos, leaving the rice and beans untouched. The standout dish of the night though was definitely hubby's shrimp and steak fajitas. They made their way sizzling to the table, and were easily our favorite order for taste and flavor. All in all a lively evening for this awesome mom.

We sat outside and watched people jogging up the A1A and frolicking on the beach. It's a good spot to people watch. Once we were seated, we were instructed on where the food was located, and our drink orders were taken. The worst part: There are NO scrambled eggs in a heated pan to serve yourself. That leaves you with no choice but to wait in the egg line where the chef makes your eggs for you. Boooo! What if I just wanted plain ole eggs? Or, I don't feel like waiting 30 minutes in a line to have an omelet made? It's brunch, but it really serves more of a lunch menu. It is a Mexican restaurant, so that's what you'll find. There's a make-your-own taco bar, ceviche, chips & guac, etc. But I'm a breakfast person. The waffle strips tasted store-bought (and came with syrup in a little jam container), and the mac & cheese was an afterthought. Again, probably Kraft. Luckily, once you drink enough mimosas, nothing else matters. So yeah, that's where the DJ saves the day. They also had endless margaritas, but them joints tasted TART. Those little cheesecake squares were pretty good. Otherwise, I don't think I'd come back for this brunch.

(With lots of tequilas, beers, and craft cocktails) We had a group of 7 on a Saturday night. We tried to get a reservation but after many calls; no one ever answered the phone. We decided to risk it because we were going pretty early, 6:00. We did have to attend an 8;00 show at the Broward Center which is just 1/2 a mile away. The place was pretty empty and we had no problem getting a few tables put together. There is a very extensive menu with lots of apps, a few salads, enchiladas, fajitas, and at least 15 taco varieties. I ordered a reposado margarita, which was fabulous, for $15. For food I went with the Trio of Tacos for $18. There was one chicken taco, one carnitas taco, and one gringo beef taco. The tortillas were small; but they were piled high! They were also tasty. One friend had the Citrus Mango Shrimp Tacos, $19. She said they were very good. Two friends had the Baja Fish Tacos on our servers recommendation, $19. One friend said they were just ok because they weren't crunchy at all and she didn't care for the cilantro slaw filling, the other friend thought they were delicious and savory! Yet another friend had the chicken nachos. She didn't care for them at all because they had a cheese sauce as opposed to authentic shredded cheese. Our waiters were attentive; but we did have a little delay with one of the fish taco orders. Everyone had food except for one diner and we had to flag down a server and wait quite a while for her to finally get her meal. Everyone on the staff was friendly though, and they didn't mind giving us separate checks. If you are looking for casual Mexican dining, or just want to have a few appetizers and drinks; Bandoleros is a good option that won't break the bank!
