We were in the area for Busch gardens visit. My wife had heard of it opening from her algorithms ... We were hungry and they fixed our hunger! Prices were definitely reasonable for the amount of quality food you get. The kids meals were enough to split...but my two diva daughters were undecided on one thing. So 2 kids meals it was. Needless to say we had leftovers that I will destroy when we get home! The wife had a birria quesadilla. I had a chicken bowl that was decadent. Deliciously paried with a chips and stick to your ribs creamy queso and chips. Ice cold watet to warsh it all down. All in all the staff was kick a$$ and the food was bomb in our perspective. Everyone's order was messed up. They forgot my husband's meal entirely, and when the steak tacos finally arrived, the meat was cold. My son also ordered tacos, and when he checked them, they were cold as well. Don't even get me started on my daughter's burrito--it was just as disappointing. To make matters worse, they attempted to refund the two incorrect orders. They processed one refund, but when they tried to do the second, they said they couldn't because of an issue with their system. The employee told us there was nothing she could do, leaving us to deal with the problem ourselves. Between the poor service, long wait, cold food, and unresolved refund issue, this was a very frustrating experience. We definitely will not be returning to this location. read more

There are plenty of options to choose from, and it's the kind of place where you immediately start thinking about what you want to try on your next visit. I know this is a taco spot, but don't skip the drinks & dessert! The horchata drink was as pretty as it was delicious. With layers of cinnamon. They have a few lemonade options that you can mix and match to make your own flavor. They are refreshing & not too sweet. We tried a bunch of the churro flavors. Guys! They melt in your mouth! Warm, crispy outside, gooey inside, delicious flavors. The guava pumpkin spice, & berry were my favorites in that order. Vegan food can taste bland like a forceful 2nd thought, but the Hongos mushroom tacos were spiced so well. A little smokey paired with the bright pico de gallo made it perfectly balanced. It also had beans, so you get your protein. The tortillas for every taco was perfectly cooked & the right thickness to hold the sheer amount of food you get but not overwhelm the dish. I'm convinced all the ingredients here are fresh because shrimp tacos are typically my indicator. Their shrimp tacos were the perfect texture & the spicy mayo sauce was delicious. I didn't try their signature birria tacos, but my husband did. He ended up drinking the dipping sauce that it came with, so safe to say it was exceptional. The employees are kind & knowledgeable; Mohsin, Cesar, and Vivian in particular were a great help. The place is prestine clean & beyond a fun environment with music & neon Mexican themed decor. Very good service. You come in and order at the counter and they give you a number and the staff bring your meal to the table. I went with a group of friends for a week day lunch. First time visiting the talking tacos chain! The ambiance is dark neon lighting with dia de los muertos decor. I had the Birria taco, which is their signature taco and a horchata. Crispy shell, tender meat, white cheese, onions, and cilantro. It was really good! It was also paired with a tasty consomme. The best bites were always with a good amount of onion and cilantro for me. My horchata was thick, creamy, and flavored really well! My favorite hot sauces were the habanero and cayenne. This is my second time here. My first visit was at the Miami location and it was a great experience, so I was excited to try it again. I ordered the birria tacos and they did not disappoint. 10/10. I feel like some places make birria differently where the broth can taste bland and the meat isn't very flavorful, but this spot does it really well. The broth is rich and the meat is packed with flavor. The service is simple and easy. You go in, order through a tablet and then sit down at a table. When your order is ready, they call it out and bring it to you. The ambiance is also really cool. I went at night and the lighting was dark with a nice vibe to it. They were delicious and flavorful, but I wish they had come with some salsa verde or another spicy sauce for a little extra heat. For the price, I expected them to be just a bit better. Came here the other day with a friend after work for dinner. It was our first time here and we can definitely say that we will be back again! The atmosphere was upbeat with the music & the cool wall designs & signs. The staff was very friendly and attentive throughout our entire experience. And the food was absolutely delicious. My friend got the birria ramen, the blue lemonade, & the tajin & chamoy gummies. he said the ramen had an amazing flavor & was very filling, the blue lemonade was a slightly sweet but still refreshing, & the gummies were so good he couldn't stop eating them. I did steal some of them to try & can concur that if I was not absolutely stuffed from my food that I would have kept eating them as well. I had the street corn & the birria pizza which were both amazing! The street corn & the birria pizza were not small by any means. I actually ended up taking a bit of both home to have for lunch the next day, & as a big back foodie that is rare for me to do. The pizza can be a bit messy while eating so beware of that if you plan on ordering it. The only negative experience throughout my time was that tomato soup came with the birria pizza instead of consomme. It was not bad or anything, only that I was expecting consomme instead. I did go back later & see that it does say it comes with tomato soup on the menu; so that was on me for not fully reading the description. So don't make the same mistake I did & assume it comes with consomme, it is a separate side item you have to order if you want consomme with the pizza. read more

The nachos were phenomenal (my friend couldn't stop talking about the avocado mayo sauce), but the tacos were a bit mid for us. I think I'm just not the biggest fan of corn tortillas in general. Okay, let's talk tacos: I ordered three of them, and they were all terrific. (And I'm not saying I'm a taco snob, but I'm saying I lived in northern California for two decades, so I'm saying I'm a taco snob.) The birria tacos are clearly a specialty of the place, and they were some of the best that I've had. The other two tacos I had were Southwest chicken and mahi mahi, also both excellent--the mahi mahi beats my Cali standby of Rubio's pretty handily. The one seriously weak spot: the chips. They were freshly made, but they were greasy (and it tasted like they needed to change their fryer oil), and they had almost no salt. And they didn't come with salsa. Big miss. Talking taco has good selections on meat type. The place is Gatto beautiful with nice wall paintings. I like the colorful wall. Imagine put a black light at night will be cool. I just wonder what they are do with the Day of the dead celebration. I got steak and Bria taco. I like steak taco better because they have good dice steak with their own mixed in. The dice steak is big make it desirable. The Bria taco is my wife choice. She said the Bria tastes better and the meat is more. Overall is a good taco place to try. Clean place, adequate parking,and Open Sundays Cons: The steak burrito I had was solid and fresh. However, it was a little lacking in meat. There is rice in there which I don't like and you cannot remove while ordering unfortunately. 7/10 They give you tortilla chips. Mine were fresh and crunchy similar to Moe's. However, they gave no salsa with them .The young lady who brought my food offered to bring me some when I asked her about salsa. It was a green Tomatillo type. It should be served with the order. My local Moe's closed and I miss the salsa bar they had. Overall: This is solid but unspectacular food on the level of Moe's/Chipotle. An occasional trip is warranted. read more

My tacos did not taste like authentic birria it is severely lacking ingredients in their birria sauc, and the beans are like literal soup. Not pleasant. Enjoyed the Grand Opening Celebration at Talkin' Tacos on August 16, 2024. They definitely put a whole bunch of detail for entertainment and celebration. They had a DJ, Mariachi's, USF Cheerleaders as just a few examples. We ordered steak tacos and birria tacos through their computers with assistance, & they delivered it to us where we sat. Everything was smooth sailing considering how crowded it was. They have cool Dia De Los Muertos Decor and a huge mural that is amazing and detailed. This was a great experience for a Friday night! We have not been here before so it takes us a little while to look thru the menus Maybe a QR code for the menu at the start of the line to get us look before hand can cut down some time! They also do not have soda machine so just their signature lemonade items for drinks or water. We have ordered a few things to try and then we sat down at a table ! I like that you can see pictures of all of the food/drink items and when you click on an item you can then see all of the customization options. Inside the decor is awesome. "Feed me tacos and tell me I'm pretty is written across the main long wall. I tried $13.99 taco trio. The 1 that I had was great. I took the other 2 home. The highlight for me was the $12.99 Birria grilled cheese. Super meaty and juicy just how I like it. I ordered a $12.99 Cali burrito. Cali does it better, but still very good. Let's just say, there wasn't one person who experienced it that would say they would use their money to buy this food... 1) Chips had that smell.. if you worked in a kitchen you know that smell. Oil used to fry the chips was way over due for a change. The chips literally sucked and outside of tasting the chips- they went in the trash. Huge disappointment. Rather buy a bag of Siete chips at the grocery store. 2) Chipotle has better tasting guacamole. This guac lacked flavor... would never order it again. No jalapeños, needed more lime and salt. Too many tomatoes, and they were cut too big. There goes $9 down the drain 3) The queso was a top tier crazy fake out. This ish was straight up frito lays canned cheese! Kobe'd that in the trash. $7 down the drain 4) Carne tacos checked out. The steak was good, and I would get that again. If I had to go here... 5) Birria tacos checked out, but Los Chapos near Ybor beats them by miles. 6) Cali burrito was interesting.. wouldn't recommend. Delivery was fast and prompt. I was sold a dream by the fancy influencers who post videos of this place looking bomb. Maybe it was an off day for them. Maybe they are overwhelmed and can't keep up with food quality to match the amount of people coming in. Maybe it's just this location! The service was poor I do not like self serve option especially at that price point to start with, but they did not have water or maybe it's just they didn't offer. That seems like a basic necessity at any type of restaurant. They seemed annoyed to help when I asked a question about the menu. We ordered guacamole to start and the mahi burrito and steak tacos. The guacamole tasted really bad and not fresh. The chips were ok. The steak tacos were average they were very basic. The mahi burrito was terrible I would never order that again. The fish did not taste fresh and I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth. In fact, I drove to McDonald's to get a soda to try to cleanse my palette. I'm not sure how this place had such positive ratings. The ambience was cute but that's the only positive thing I can say about it. I'll never go back.
