Sushi and biscuits? This is possible if you come to Haiku during Sunday Brunch. Also it's a Drag brunch on the 2nd Sunday of every month. I went with savory items such as the Chicken and Biscuits and Tuna Roll. The chicken were like little pieces of tenders along with a nice flaky biscuit. Gravy was great but not enough! Tuna roll was delish. Haiku offers gluten free items which was a plus for our someone in our party. Variety of cocktails and mocktails to choose from. If you are coming for the Drag Brunch I suggest you get there before 1230 so you have plenty of time to order since it's hard for them to serve in the middle of show. Great staff in an intimate venue with patio seating.

The food was very meh! I forgot to take a picture of my boyfriend's chicken fried rice! It was edible but not great! Very bizarre things in the udon in my opinion. Really expected to see more sushi on the menu and wasn't happy with the options they did have. Like others said the service isn't very good! Hardly anyone inside but also no one working to serve! Probably wouldn't go back!

Haiku is such an amazing experience! The aesthetic of the restaurant is so cute, an amazing ambiance. One unique thing I really enjoy is that they had a projection of an animated chef making food. It really contributed to the hunger at the table! The food was delicious and fresh. Every time I have been the service has been amazing and fast. The food presentation is always nice and the taste exceeds that. Amazing place for girls night, date night, or an after work gathering!

This was a phenomenal experience all around! Immediately the staff was so friendly, wishing me a happy birthday and even offering a free glass of champagne. The inside is so adorable and has such a great ambiance but we really enjoyed our table outside! We started with the shrimp tempura which was absolutely perfect - no notes. I then had the volcano roll which was the best sushi I've ever tasted. It was so fresh and flavorful, each bite was an absolute dream. I didn't want it to end! My friend ordered the shrimp fried rice which was also fantastic. Finally we had the Yuzu & White Chocolate Doughnuts and WOWWWWW!!!! Completing mind blowing. Our server even lit a candle in it for my birthday! These donuts were so fresh, crisp, and chewy, served with an epic, creamy vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect end to the most perfect meal imaginable!

The place is so cool looking inside which is partly why I wanted to eat there. Sadly, the decor doesn't translate to the food. We got bao buns and octopus to start. Bao buns were awesome but I didn't care for the octopus. The rest of the group did though. Two of us got sushi and one got a rice dish. They were all good. Not great. The drinks were amazing though. The service was hit or miss. When we asked to order dessert, she started to walk away after only one person had ordered.

Loved our visit to Haiku Tampa! The ambiance is modern and stylish with lots of great photo ops throughout the space--definitely a spot with a vibe. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making our experience even better. We kicked things off with some well-crafted cocktails that hit the mark--balanced, refreshing, and beautifully presented. For food, the udon noodles were a standout--perfectly cooked and customizable with your choice of protein. The shrimp fried rice leaned a bit on the sweeter side for my taste, but the portion was generous and satisfying. The real winner of the night was the short rib--tender, full of flavor, and easily my favorite entree on the menu. A solid spot for a night out with good food, drinks, and an aesthetic setting.

Haiku is a great spot to grab sushi in downtown Tampa. I have been here dozens of times and the food never Disappoints. The cocktails are great here too, and honestly I think their lychee martini might be the best I've had anywhere. The restaurant is decorated very creatively; I personally love the fake tree inside the restaurant. The space is very trendy and has the perfect aesthetic for taking instagram pictures. I have been here many times and the service can sometimes be slow, but overall I have had a very pleasant experience here.

Stopped in here with a friend and sat at the bar. The inside of this spot is super cute l, has a lot of decor, and we loved it. We didn't order much, but everything we tried was delicious. We ordered the octopus and the tuna and salmon tar tar. I loved how the tar tar was on top of the tempura seaweed, super tasty!! We will come back again and try more next time !

I loved our visit at Haiku! We visited for a dinner / bachelorette celebration and they treated us so well. They even provided us complementary Sake. It was easy to put all on 1 bill / pay the check too. Viviana was our waitress and she provided amazing service, she was prompt & helpful. Additionally, her positive attitude made our experience so enjoyable! Loved the sushi, we got different rolls. We also got the spicy edamame and the lettuce wraps - was a bit sad they charged $3 for extra lettuce pieces for us but there wasn't enough entirely for the amount of filling in the bowl. Other than that the vibes were so good, the decor was beautiful& it was overall a wonderful experience.

Ambiance is so cute here. We enjoyed the bar here and they are great, attentive as well. We had small bites for their happy hour. Great deals and cute place overall

We came here for a friend's birthday dinner. The place is nicely decorated on the inside. We ordered two appetizers to try: Pork Bao buns and Miso Japanese Eggplant. The pork Bao bun was good, it could've had more flavor. We really enjoyed the eggplant appetizer. It had a delicious dipping sauce and was perfectly fried. For our entrees we tried the 'Pork Belly Fried Rice' and the 'Tonkatsu Shoyu Ramen'. The entrees were good. For drinks, I tried their lychee martini it was ok. Haiku had good service, our waitress was attentive and professional. They do have someone come take your photo and then try to get you to buy it, which I thought was interesting. The prices are on the higher end for what you're getting. I've been to other Asian restaurants with the same price point and have had more interesting food.

Amazing spot to go for lunch or dinner. Not too loud, bar outside is great, staff is always friendly too.

I really wanted to love Haiku but I was not really impressed. 5/5 for ambiance! Modern, chic, beautiful decor! Felt like a dining experience in Miami or NYC. I did not have reservations so I expected to wait to dine on a Friday night and boy did I wait... I told myself that sometimes the wait is worth it. Once seated, I was enamored by the energy and couldn't wait to try the menu. 5/5 for the drinks! I love a good spicy cocktail and they did it well! Now the food overall was average in my opinion... 3/5. It may have been the night but I tried multiple items on the menu. Of the 8 items, the best were the spicy chicken kimchi fried rice and the Wagyu short rib. The octopus was also good. The Wagyu beef ramen was extremely salty and everything else was average. With all the hype, the cost of the meals, the wait, I had much higher expectations and the rug was definitely pulled from under me. We will see if I attempt them in the future.

The food, the cocktails, the service and the ambiance are all excellent. My ONLY criticism is sometimes the music can be a little too loud for conversation, but this isn't always so. I'm a cocktail geek and have made multiple trips to The Aviary in Chicago. Believe me, The Aviary has nothing on the Tanto bar program. Cocktails are unique, creative, and delicious. Food was amazing, whether omakase or á la carte. Staff is attentive, fun and playful. Chuck and Nick anchor the beverage service while Tony and Ari will make you feel at home. If you are lucky you may get a visit from Chef Cody. Standout drinks: #1 is Seoul Food. Think the savoriness of a Bloody Mary but without tomatoes. Hard to describe but don't miss it! Other highlights include Opposite Day, Memory in Bloom, and Three Way. Season of Again pairs beautifully with the oysters. I hate to say I have a favorite restaurant, because I choose different places for differing needs, but Tanto has won my heart and tastebuds.

The hostess was pleasant when arriving and presented herself with exceptional sleek style. Someone brought me a palate cleanser drink which was rhubarb and lemongrass water. I choose the cocktail called Opposite Day- Japanese whiskey, sweet Sauvignon Blanc, salted wine and roasted beets- twist on a whiskey sour but flipped! Oysters were light and fresh and the juice in the shell was precision clean. It really pops the flavors of the oyster. Yellowtail jalapeño handroll- it is designed to be eaten similar to a taco.
