My favorite meal I had in Tampa!!! We made a ressy for haiku for Friday, this place was a vibe! We sat outside it was a beautiful night and pretty patio! The service was great! We got edamame, sake bombs, raw fish and rolls! Everything was up to par and tasted very fresh! The restaurant was well decorated and looked very nice inside! I would for sure come back next time I'm in Tampa!

Sushi and biscuits? This is possible if you come to Haiku during Sunday Brunch. Also it's a Drag brunch on the 2nd Sunday of every month. I went with savory items such as the Chicken and Biscuits and Tuna Roll. The chicken were like little pieces of tenders along with a nice flaky biscuit. Gravy was great but not enough! Tuna roll was delish. Haiku offers gluten free items which was a plus for our someone in our party. Variety of cocktails and mocktails to choose from. If you are coming for the Drag Brunch I suggest you get there before 1230 so you have plenty of time to order since it's hard for them to serve in the middle of show. Great staff in an intimate venue with patio seating.

The food was very meh! I forgot to take a picture of my boyfriend's chicken fried rice! It was edible but not great! Very bizarre things in the udon in my opinion. Really expected to see more sushi on the menu and wasn't happy with the options they did have. Like others said the service isn't very good! Hardly anyone inside but also no one working to serve! Probably wouldn't go back!

Haiku is such an amazing experience! The aesthetic of the restaurant is so cute, an amazing ambiance. One unique thing I really enjoy is that they had a projection of an animated chef making food. It really contributed to the hunger at the table! The food was delicious and fresh. Every time I have been the service has been amazing and fast. The food presentation is always nice and the taste exceeds that. Amazing place for girls night, date night, or an after work gathering!

This was a phenomenal experience all around! Immediately the staff was so friendly, wishing me a happy birthday and even offering a free glass of champagne. The inside is so adorable and has such a great ambiance but we really enjoyed our table outside! We started with the shrimp tempura which was absolutely perfect - no notes. I then had the volcano roll which was the best sushi I've ever tasted. It was so fresh and flavorful, each bite was an absolute dream. I didn't want it to end! My friend ordered the shrimp fried rice which was also fantastic. Finally we had the Yuzu & White Chocolate Doughnuts and WOWWWWW!!!! Completing mind blowing. Our server even lit a candle in it for my birthday! These donuts were so fresh, crisp, and chewy, served with an epic, creamy vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect end to the most perfect meal imaginable!

The place is so cool looking inside which is partly why I wanted to eat there. Sadly, the decor doesn't translate to the food. We got bao buns and octopus to start. Bao buns were awesome but I didn't care for the octopus. The rest of the group did though. Two of us got sushi and one got a rice dish. They were all good. Not great. The drinks were amazing though. The service was hit or miss. When we asked to order dessert, she started to walk away after only one person had ordered.

Haiku is a great spot to grab sushi in downtown Tampa. I have been here dozens of times and the food never Disappoints. The cocktails are great here too, and honestly I think their lychee martini might be the best I've had anywhere. The restaurant is decorated very creatively; I personally love the fake tree inside the restaurant. The space is very trendy and has the perfect aesthetic for taking instagram pictures. I have been here many times and the service can sometimes be slow, but overall I have had a very pleasant experience here.

Stopped in here with a friend and sat at the bar. The inside of this spot is super cute l, has a lot of decor, and we loved it. We didn't order much, but everything we tried was delicious. We ordered the octopus and the tuna and salmon tar tar. I loved how the tar tar was on top of the tempura seaweed, super tasty!! We will come back again and try more next time !

I loved our visit at Haiku! We visited for a dinner / bachelorette celebration and they treated us so well. They even provided us complementary Sake. It was easy to put all on 1 bill / pay the check too. Viviana was our waitress and she provided amazing service, she was prompt & helpful. Additionally, her positive attitude made our experience so enjoyable! Loved the sushi, we got different rolls. We also got the spicy edamame and the lettuce wraps - was a bit sad they charged $3 for extra lettuce pieces for us but there wasn't enough entirely for the amount of filling in the bowl. Other than that the vibes were so good, the decor was beautiful& it was overall a wonderful experience.

Ambiance is so cute here. We enjoyed the bar here and they are great, attentive as well. We had small bites for their happy hour. Great deals and cute place overall

We came here for a friend's birthday dinner. The place is nicely decorated on the inside. We ordered two appetizers to try: Pork Bao buns and Miso Japanese Eggplant. The pork Bao bun was good, it could've had more flavor. We really enjoyed the eggplant appetizer. It had a delicious dipping sauce and was perfectly fried. For our entrees we tried the 'Pork Belly Fried Rice' and the 'Tonkatsu Shoyu Ramen'. The entrees were good. For drinks, I tried their lychee martini it was ok. Haiku had good service, our waitress was attentive and professional. They do have someone come take your photo and then try to get you to buy it, which I thought was interesting. The prices are on the higher end for what you're getting. I've been to other Asian restaurants with the same price point and have had more interesting food.

Amazing spot to go for lunch or dinner. Not too loud, bar outside is great, staff is always friendly too.

We originally planned on bringing some family here for their anniversary but that plan feel through so we made it into a friends catch up dinner. Right off the back LOVED our server Nimah. She was funny, helpful, and attentive. And they are on top of refilling your water so you will never go thirsty. I'm not much of a drinker, so I don't have much to say on that matter. The ambiance was nice. A lot of eclectic paintings on the walls. And loved the outfits of the servers. Very 20's speakeasy. There is a live jazz band that started performing at 7 pm. They were good but at some points it was a bit difficult to speak and listen to those at your table unless you got really close. My meal hit the spot. We started with a charcuterie board for the table. It had a lot of great options like dried apricots, actual honeycomb pieces, and my most favorite cheese, some Brie cheese. The only thing was there was only 4 pieces of bread, one for each of us, which wasn't enough but I guess it made sense not to fill us up too much. For my main meal I had the sweet potato salad which was very tasty and the sweet potato risotto, which a little spicy kick. The only thing I missed was the Brussels sprouts and potatoes but was told that was from the previous chef. But they serve you enough so you definitely will have left overs. Not a big fan of eating in the lounge areas, those are best just for drinks and maybe desserts. But it's definitely a great place to people watch. You will definitely have a meal and a show no matter what. Hopefully can schedule another time to bring my family because I know they would love it.

The only reason we were still there when the dessert came was because we ordered it with the pre-fix entrée and we couldn't get anyone to bring us our check so we could leave. It's got that all-around fun, energetic atmosphere that makes it a solid choice for drinks. Not sure how it is during the week, but it would make for a fun date night spot to grab some cocktails. That said, I had a real hang-up the last time I went with my girlfriend around Christmas. They tried to hit us with a $10 cover just to get in, on top of $15-20 cocktails. I don't mind paying for a nice spot, but the cover felt absurd, especially since it wasn't even busy. The bouncer said we could make a reservation to avoid it, so I did...and then he made us stand outside forever before letting us in. At that point, we should've just left, but since my friend had never been, we stuck it out to try the themed Christmas cocktails. Once inside, there was a two-drink minimum per person, which is kind of crazy. It feels like they jip you either way...cover or no cover, minimum spend or not. While waiting outside (for no real reason, since it was empty), we chatted with a party of six who came straight from Ash (the sister restaurant upstairs). They'd just spent over $1,000 on their meal and were still getting charged a cover to enter Alter Ego. That's poor business, don't force extra fees to guarantee money when good music, drinks, and vibes should bring people in naturally and make them want to spend. There's plenty of places on Water Street with great (and I'd say better) cocktails where you're not forced into minimums or covers. The Christmas cocktail menu was disappointing too, poor selections and way too sugary. Love the potential here, but the strict policies really turned me off and made me want to go elsewhere next time.
