I will definitely rate my meal a 5/10 as I normally order this multiple times a week. I will definitely not be ordering this as much because the noodles have completely changed from the old noodles. The old noodles held the sauce better and now with the skinny noodles, it has completely changed and it's absolutely spicy. It's not OK to change the noodles without telling the customer as well. I think it was our first time coming and I like Asian food as much as the next person but mm this wasn't really me. Regardless our waitress was VERY nice. Inside it was also very nice. We sat outside and ordered the meatballs to start mmmmm they were not so good sadly. To order I think my sisters got the salmon and the Yaki soba while I got the bulgogi beef. The salmon was very good but the yaki soba was not seasoned very well and my beef mmmm not good either. I guess I just don't get Bulgogi beef. It was a nice evening, so we chose outdoors. We started off with a few drinks. I had a Ube Espresso Martini and it was 10/10. Would drink this everyday. Lol. My husband had a fresh juice drink w Calamansi (his favorite fruit). He's still talking about it. We had a few apps including the Tokyo Fries, Aji Tuna Nachos and Chili Calamari. Both were crispy and very tasty. For entrees mu husband had a tofu dish that we can't find on the menu...must have been a special. The reason I'm only giving 4 stars is that my food never came out. I'm not sure if it's due to budgeting or just incorrectly made, read the following description and look at the food app. "Delicious crispy rice bites topped with ahi tuna, Yuzu ponzu, avocado mousse, chili mayo, Yuzu zest + green onions" None of that is correct or featured. The photo on their website does not match either. True stars of the show: The Bao Buns. It's where it's at. These certainly hit the mark and were quite delicious. Wagamama was pretty good when we tried it a few weeks ago! The inside is very casual, upbeat, but the seating is very tight and uncomfortable. Most of the seats do not have backs on them and if you get sat in a booth, it is extremely tight. They tried to sit four of us there and that did not work out, it's really meant for two people! The food was overall very good. I had the chicken Ramen and we also did the chicken yakisoba noodles which was delicious. The drinks were pretty good as well! Our server was very nice when we moved tables, but our original Server was quite interesting. Coming up yawning right away while trying to talk at the same time. We came here after a hockey game. The dining area eventually got very packed, but we were able to snag some bar seating. The bar seating is nice. It's very secluded. It feels very personable. I had heard great things about this place and was excited to try it, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed. I ordered the edamame and the ahi tuna bowl. The edamame was soaked in what seemed like oil that had very little flavor, and it was oversteamed to the point of being extremely mushy. The texture was nothing like I'm used to, and the excess oil was literally dripping off of it. The ahi tuna was very fishy and surprisingly tough, so I ended up picking it out of the bowl. On top of that, the bowl was missing all of the seasonings it was supposed to come with. The vegetables were also poorly prepared--the onion and cucumber were cut into huge slices instead of manageable ieces. I actually had to take them out and cut them smaller when I got home. In the end, I only ate the rice with the sauce and vegetables, then added my own avocado and seasonings just to salvage the meal. This was our second time dining at Wagamama Tampa, and once again the food, presentation, and service were absolutely outstanding. Chef Joel made our experience unforgettable. He came to our table to personally explain the Tokyo Fries, introduced us to the new Shrimp Bao and the new Crispy Rice with Yuzu Ponzu, and shared the inspiration behind the dishes. Came in for dinner on a quiet night and while the food came out quickly after ordering, the overall experience felt a bit underwhelming. We started with the Balance juice, which had a nice blend of flavors but was served room temperature. A few ice cubes would have made it much more refreshing, especially considering the warm setting of a ramen dinner. During their Happy Hour, (Monday to Fridays: 3-6pm); we have shared their Tuna Tataki and Chili Calamari. Yum!!! We also ordered special juices. Those were super fresh and tasty. Overall great concept, amazing modern ambiance with lots of space. Menu is very large and lots of things to try. We shared the Tokyo fries and tried two different ramens. I had the chicken ramen, which was super flavorful but still felt light and simple.
