It was an absolute joy. I would've recommend this to anyone. Even the trails that were rocky that go outback through the woods we did on a street bike no problem. They seem to be very well-maintained trails. At one point you had the super long bridge that goes over a swampy area, which is really cool too. On the way up on the trail, we saw a turtle crossing the trail on the way back. We saw but I assume is the same turtle taking a hole with his back legs. I don't know why I spent my whole life going to the Jersey shore. You drive an extra hour. You could come down here and have a super nice beach that's not packed and the super nice trails that you can bicycle too.

The campgrounds are clean. You have access to fishing . You are able to walk to the beach but we drive to the parking lot and the parking pass given by the campground covered the parking spot. The beach has lifeguards and there are two restaurants and shops. The beach has restrooms and bathhouses within free same center as the restaurants. They do not have BBQ grills. Bring your stove tops to cook and food that's doesn't required heating. They don't allow outside wood for any type of grills. You can find additional information on the website. The area is kid friendly and secure. They have a nice playground. I will try this location again.

Something about the sprocket was bent. Ugh! Instead, I sprayed some sunblock on my arms neck and face, put on a hat, and took a walk. The beach is stunning. Flat, warm, sunny and not overly crowded for a July weekend. While the beach is not step free, they're trying hard to make it as accessible as possible with mats and ramps that can support a wheelchair. That's awesome. I did see a bunch of offroaders. Apparently, you can get a permit to bring your 4WD onto the beach. Pretty darned awesome, that is! What are those huge concrete structures? They're WWII-era bunkers! Yes, these huge installations were built to counter the fear of German U-boats invading Philadelphia via the Delaware River. The cabin that sleeps 4-6 people was spotlessly clean and smelled great. The bathhouse has some issues with folks not cleaning up after themselves in minor ways but the smell of Lysol indicates regular cleaning. My kids loved the pool. Less than 10 minutes from Rehoboth and Lewes Beach. I am reluctant to rave too much because we are staying here next year! Yes there are rebel flags and memorabilia but LGBT folks and all ethnicities are here receiving equal service as paying guests.

I am writing this review to warn other families before they spend their money here. We experienced what felt very clearly like racially discriminatory treatment. Our children were riding scooters when they were stopped and told they were not allowed to ride. Our 14-year-old was specifically stopped, yet we could clearly see much younger white children riding around the campground. If scooters were prohibited, the rule should have been enforced equally. What was even more upsetting was how our children were spoken to. They came running back to us scared and intimidated. As parents, watching your children come back frightened because of how an adult treated them is completely unacceptable. We also had a simple check-in misunderstanding. We went to our campsite before going to the office because we genuinely did not know that every guest had to check in first. Instead of simply explaining the rule, we were treated as though we had deliberately done something wrong. From there, the treatment became increasingly hostile, and we felt like the staff was looking for reasons to push our family out. The difference between how our family was treated and what we witnessed with white campers was impossible for us to ignore. Based on our firsthand experience, we felt targeted because of our race. The campground itself was also unclean and poorly maintained, which made the experience even worse. We were additionally forced to pay cash and were not given a receipt, which was extremely concerning and unprofessional. We paid to camp and expected basic courtesy, consistent rules, and a welcoming environment for our children. Instead, our family left feeling targeted, intimidated, and unwelcome. Think very carefully before booking this campground. We would not recommend it to families or anyone who expects to be treated fairly and equally.

Very spacious sites with the bathroom/shower reasonably close. Parking was "ok"..... but they fill up and then you have to use overflow. The bathrooms/showers were clean BUT I guess I'm used to sites that spray repellent because nature is boss. We drove through the comfort sites of D and they were too tight for my liking. They have yurts and cabins but for me a tad too close. They do have an Island camp site Loved it!!!!! That's a must do. It's 2 sites across a short walking bridge with water view and access. I would definitely go back.

The bushes before the site are high so be careful you don't pass the entrance like we almost did a few times (Ok I did once at least). The resort is clean and has a small cute movie theater, activity center (we did not use it), basketball and tennis court. There is a nice size pool and a huge lake which is dog friendly (not a fan of this rule)... The resort has nice seasonal site but the rentals are on the smaller side. The first few nights were felt squashed in with the big RV buses on all sides of us. Once they left it felt a bit roomy with the empty sites. The fire ring is made from cement and kind of sucky. The wood table was worn. The staff was very friendly. The camp store was huge with many items to choose. The ice cream shop had tasty treat and also served good food. We had our bikes so it was easy to bike around the resort especially to the lake. It was quiet in our area during quiet areas (I saw others had issues). A few stores/markets (Aldi, Giant, Starbucks) were nearby so it was easy to run for missing items. Internet was crappy even with my hotspot. I guess it's good as it forced me to relax more but I like having my own option. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year.

The neighboring group blasted bass-heavy music from Friday night through Sunday morning, sometimes beginning around 8 a.m. Their music and conversations included extremely offensive, profane and racist language, even though children were present. Their site grew to approximately four cars and five tents, and their two unleashed dogs repeatedly entered our campsite and bothered our leashed dog. We complained multiple times to the office, security booth and staff, but kept getting passed around. The music would briefly go down and then start again. The same group even brought a huge speaker to the lake, making it impossible to escape the noise. On Sunday morning, Alvin from security finally got them to lower the music and put their dogs away, but they were already preparing to leave. They continued cursing and angrily discussing who had reported them. They were clearly very angry, and the situation became so concerning that I carried mace and nearly called the police. We could not relax, talk, cook or enjoy the campground. I have camped and traveled extensively and have never experienced anything this disruptive or so poorly handled. We will never return.

It can be a bit of a party atmosphere on weekends so sit back and watch the show! Our first couple of days were mid week and the place was only 10% occupied, so the water pressure was super high! Great for showers in the really nice bath houses, but remember your pressure regulator for your RV. Speaking of bath houses, the showers use the type of controls where you have to put the button to keep the water running. The shower that was ADA compliant wasn't working properly, my only problem all week. Checking in and the sites were great. A nice family pool and another pool with a swim up bar too. The store was well stocked and not overly inflated pricing. The weekend after memorial day it was a loud party till about an hour past quiet time, but not too bad and then it did quiet down, so come to party! :) Also it can get windy near the ocean so watch those awnings. Overall, a great time!

Front desk was contacted and sent maintenance. Maintenance advised they were aware that the system was not working and that is why window unit is in place. Reported at 5:30 pm, maintenance showed up at 6pm and adjusted the temperature and said to come back over to front desk in an hour if it didn't cool down(after acknowledging he knew it was broke). When it didn't cool off in the hour and I returned to the front desk to find they closed and no one was available.
