RACIST RACIST RACIST The Campground itself is not bad. Bathrooms could use a little upgrade. Confederate flags all over the place. Sites are way too small and close to each other. We had 3 sites together and we had a bunch of kids in our group. We had a problem with supposedly noise. After 11pm is quiet time according to their rules. It's not like we were a bunch of college kids partying the night away. We were all family trying to have some family time. Music wasn't loud either I guess they didn't like Spanish music. I have camped in many places including state parks and never had this problem.

Racist flag flying steps away from campground office.

Nestled between two welcoming and inclusive cities (Lewes and Rehoboth Beach) lies this campground where, apparently, it's still 1929 and blatant racism is okay. I should have read the other reviews before booking. The bathrooms were dirty, and the tent sites were tiny and uneven. Find another place! Any other place!

The campground itself was not too bad, although sites were crowded and not well manicured. Mixture of full time and vacationers. What i could not get over was the blatant display of confederate flags flying on campground poles and a huge display of items for sale in the store. I read reviews that this is their heritage and this is why they display the flags. This is no longer acceptable. As I read in an op-ed recently.....the Confederate flag was waved by opponents of the civil rights movement in the 50s and 60s. Anyone who continues to display the Confederate battle flag is implicitly saying they adhere to the social theory that Black people are inferior to white people. And this is why i will never return or reccomend to anyone. I am not ok with this display.

I recommend this campground. It has everything you need when visiting Rehoboth. It's not a fancy resort-style campground. There is no pool bar, nor are there babysitting activities for kids. The campsites are snug and cozy. The area near this campground is so fantastic that you wouldn't want to spend all of your time in a campground. It's priced right and in a great location. It gets 4 stars from me because: 1 - it is cheap. You have to pay cash. That's why it was cheap. If you choose anywhere else in the area you will pay more...much more. 2- its location is great. $2 to hop on the bus to hit the outlet stores or to go to the beach. The cost (and time finding a spot) of beach parking will cost you 10x. If you want to drive to the beach it's close to the Rehoboth Boardwalk ($ for parking), Lewes Beach (free parking) and Henlopen State Park ($ for entry, beach, fishing pier, etc) 3- its location is great. It's not on the water but all of its sites are shaded by beautiful oak trees. If you've been at any other campground in this area, that is on the water, in July or August you'll get why this is good. 4- its location is great. It's close to an amazing trail- the Junction Breakwater Trailhead. We walked this every morning and rode our bikes to Lewes beach and Lewes Farmers Market. 5- it has a pool. It cooled us off and was clean and supervised. It was nothing fancy. Just a decent clean pool with deck chairs and a kid that kinda looked like a lifeguard (not sure because there was a no lifeguard sign) who watching what was going on. I've stayed at two different and more expensive "brand name" campgrounds on this trip and the pools were NOT as clean and safe as this one. In case I forgot to mention it, this place was very affordable. It's priced this way for a reason so keep your expectations realistic. If you intend to spend your vacation at a campground in a resort setting this is not for you. If I were a Negative Nelly I would complain about the cramped sites and the questionable flags sold in the camp store. I might also comment on the very unlevelled and unpaved sites and the flies that bombarded us when we ate outside because we were near the garbage collection area. But I am not this kind of person. I would come here again (btw this is our third stay here since 2012) because of its location and price.

It can be a bit of a party atmosphere on weekends so sit back and watch the show! Our first couple of days were mid week and the place was only 10% occupied, so the water pressure was super high! Great for showers in the really nice bath houses, but remember your pressure regulator for your RV. Speaking of bath houses, the showers use the type of controls where you have to put the button to keep the water running. The shower that was ADA compliant wasn't working properly, my only problem all week. Checking in and the sites were great. A nice family pool and another pool with a swim up bar too. The store was well stocked and not overly inflated pricing. The weekend after memorial day it was a loud party till about an hour past quiet time, but not too bad and then it did quiet down, so come to party! :) Also it can get windy near the ocean so watch those awnings. Overall, a great time!

When it didn't cool off in the hour and I returned to the front desk to find they closed and no one was available.

Full review We stayed in a cabin for 4 week days. Before we arrived we were sent a text with a code for the cabin door key and directions for reaching the cabin. As we pulled in the directions ended up being unclear, but we eventually found the cabins. The code worked without issue. We unpacked and found a pamphlet in the cabin for a store. It wasn't listed in the map, so we went in search of it. I tried to ask at the front office but they were closed for the day (at 3 30 PM!) In fact, you are pretty much left to your own devices after 3 for any issues. This also means asking for equipment for shuffleboard, basketball, cornhole, etc. Turns out the "store" is in the office and does not offer a lot. Plenty of ice cream, but they only had a half gallon of milk and a package of bacon in a mini fridge. A few other odds and ends. The community center was closed OUR ENTIRE VISIT! No clue why they feel comfortable leaving the game room open but not the community center. We've stayed at many jellystones and KOAs that left their activity centers open through the day unsupervised. The wifi lounge seemed nice, but no one took advantage of it. The playground is decent but a hike from the cabins. Near the playground/basketball court is a pond. The pond is blocked off with some wiring and a small fence. More concerning is a sign that says the water is electrified. I have no idea if that is true but seems super dangerous to have it near the kids play area. While we were there kids were throwing a football near the area. It easily could have went over the fence and kids being kids would have ignored the sign. This all happened about 7 pm, long after all staff have left the campground. The splash pad is pretty sad. A few streams of water that shoot into the air. The temp was ice cold so it would only be used on really hot days. The other strange thing was the placement of it. Instead of being near the family pool it is next to the adults only pool. I think it makes sense to switch pools to have the splash pad close to the family pool. One last thing I'll mention, we turned on the heat to the cabin. Next thing we know the while cabin smelled like burning plastic. We turned it off quickly but the smoke alarm triggered. We aired it out and the alarm went off, but it makes you realize how little help there is. Calling the emergency number would have meant leaving a message and hoping someone called you back or eventually stopped by.

Nice campground but unfortunately aggressive towards EV owners…read more I've stayed here for roughly a month total in the last year or so and was warned early on that they believe charging EVs (even just trickle charging from 15 amp receptacles) will damage their electrical system. While this is an obviousfallacy especially for overnight charging when electrical demand is lower. It seemed the campground was attempting to be accommodating by installing an EV charger at the gate and more recently another at the main pool. This is apparently more of a price gouging move than a genuine attempt at supporting EV owners. The rate they charge is more than triple the prevailing electricity rate. It's even more expensive than the Superchargers a mile or so away at the courthouse. The reason I use the word aggressive to describe this EV politics is because despite not having a single mention of it in their extensive rules they diligently police the property to the point of entering peoples sites to check if EVs are plugged in then taking pictures of them, to come back and confront you later about it. When I'm spending thousands of dollars to stay at a campground on vacation I don't appreciate being lectured over a few bucks worth of electricity nor having my site entered and my privacy invaded to check enforcement of a rule that isn't even listed as a rule except possibly under the section that says they can add more rules at anytime. (Yes they literally have a rule that says that.) The campground facilities are generally nice but there's a lot of nice campgrounds in the area especially at this premium price point. If your an EV owner feel free to enjoy the site just be aware of the aggressive policies and privacy invasion that will come with staying at this location. Campgrounds understandably need to pick their battles and apparently this one has chosen to fight against EVs, police their charging and gouge them on electricity rates.

There is a nice size pool and a huge lake which is dog friendly (not a fan of this rule)... The resort has nice seasonal site but the rentals are on the smaller side. The first few nights were felt squashed in with the big RV buses on all sides of us. Once they left it felt a bit roomy with the empty sites. The fire ring is made from cement and kind of sucky. The wood table was worn. The staff was very friendly. The camp store was huge with many items to choose. The ice cream shop had tasty treat and also served good food. We had our bikes so it was easy to bike around the resort especially to the lake. It was quiet in our area during quiet areas (I saw others had issues). A few stores/markets (Aldi, Giant, Starbucks) were nearby so it was easy to run for missing items. Internet was crappy even with my hotspot. The neighboring group blasted bass-heavy music from Friday night through Sunday morning, sometimes beginning around 8 a.m. Their music and conversations included extremely offensive, profane and racist language, even though children were present. Their site grew to approximately four cars and five tents, and their two unleashed dogs repeatedly entered our campsite and bothered our leashed dog. We complained multiple times to the office, security booth and staff, but kept getting passed around. The music would briefly go down and then start again. The same group even brought a huge speaker to the lake, making it impossible to escape the noise. On Sunday morning, Alvin from security finally got them to lower the music and put their dogs away, but they were already preparing to leave. They continued cursing and angrily discussing who had reported them. They were clearly very angry, and the situation became so concerning that I carried mace and nearly called the police. We could not relax, talk, cook or enjoy the campground. I have camped and traveled extensively and have never experienced anything this disruptive or so poorly handled. We will never return.
