Fun place near the ocean in Delaware with lots to do nearby. Traffic getting there can be rough on…read morebig holiday weekends so plan for extra time getting there then. It can be a bit of a party atmosphere on weekends so sit back and watch the show! Our first couple of days were mid week and the place was only 10% occupied, so the water pressure was super high! Great for showers in the really nice bath houses, but remember your pressure regulator for your RV. Speaking of bath houses, the showers use the type of controls where you have to put the button to keep the water running. The shower that was ADA compliant wasn't working properly, my only problem all week. Checking in and the sites were great. A nice family pool and another pool with a swim up bar too. The store was well stocked and not overly inflated pricing. The weekend after memorial day it was a loud party till about an hour past quiet time, but not too bad and then it did quiet down, so come to party! :) Also it can get windy near the ocean so watch those awnings. Overall, a great time!

We turned it off as soon as they told us. Quiet hours 11pm-8am. It was little after 11 when they came by. Darnell got very defensive when my spouse indicated he should put his headlights on since it can be dangerous. He came at my husband and would not leave our site. He was very unprofessional. Then the owner and man came over 5 minutes later. They made excuses for their staff. They said, "he doesn't use headlights because he was trying to find a kid who was riding on electric scooter." That does not sound safe by any means. There are kids and people everywhere. Yes, we shouldn't have music on after quiet hours, but we immediately turned it off. We lost track of time and that is our fault. A staff member flipping out on us by telling them to put their headlights on is not professional at all. He knew we were right and that is why he got defensive. Tried to get the owners to leave us alone after we were quiet, but they kept rehashing the situation. Then the owner guy accused us and said we probably have kids going crazy on electric bikes/scooters (which we don't). We had a great time before this incident. But given the unprofessional staff, staff riding around with no headlights on at night, and high prices, we will not be returning.

Here's the deal... I usually don't like to write reviews about campgrounds I enjoy, because I don't…read morewant them to become too popular (got to keep a few secrets to myself!) That being said, we really love this campground, and I wanted to give them a well-deserved shout-out. We first visited in early November and liked it so much that we went back two weeks later. I was honestly surprised by some reviews claiming the owners are money-hungry or rip people off, because that was the complete opposite of our experience. We were originally supposed to stay there in October, but we had an accident that damaged our truck on the day of arrival. I called the resort to cancel and even told them I'd understand if they still needed to charge me due to the short notice. Instead, they gave us a credit for our next stay, which was wonderful and much appreciated. If you're looking for a campground loaded with frills, this isn't it. What you do get are beautiful sites, including the pull-throughs we stayed in that offer direct views of the Chesapeake Bay and some amazing sunsets. Sites include electric and water but no sewer; however, they provide septic carts and several dump stations, similar to many state parks. They also have fire rings and picnic tables, which should be standard everywhere in my opinion. Other than that, it's simply a quiet, relaxed, and scenic campground. My only wish is that WiFi were free, since it is at many other campgrounds. We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The camp store has a solid selection of necessities, and the prices were not unreasonable. Given its proximity to Rock Hall (which is an amazing little town), Chestertown, and the Bay, this is definitely going to be one of our regular camping spots. We're already planning several trips for next year.

This would be a 5 star review for sure if the WiFi coverage was better, if there was sewer at the sites, if the bathrooms were open. They made it clear that these things were not included, so it was not a surprise and they do have portable restrooms around. One more portable in the middle of the B-site area would be good. Overall this place is great and we will be returning. Already booked as a matter of fact :)

RACIAL DISCRIMINATION, INTIMIDATION, FRIGHTENING KIDS & UNCLEAN CAMPGROUND…read more One of the worst campground experiences our family has ever had. I am writing this review to warn other families before they spend their money here. We experienced what felt very clearly like racially discriminatory treatment. Our children were riding scooters when they were stopped and told they were not allowed to ride. Our 14-year-old was specifically stopped, yet we could clearly see much younger white children riding around the campground. If scooters were prohibited, the rule should have been enforced equally. What was even more upsetting was how our children were spoken to. They came running back to us scared and intimidated. As parents, watching your children come back frightened because of how an adult treated them is completely unacceptable. We also had a simple check-in misunderstanding. We went to our campsite before going to the office because we genuinely did not know that every guest had to check in first. Instead of simply explaining the rule, we were treated as though we had deliberately done something wrong. From there, the treatment became increasingly hostile, and we felt like the staff was looking for reasons to push our family out. The difference between how our family was treated and what we witnessed with white campers was impossible for us to ignore. Based on our firsthand experience, we felt targeted because of our race. The campground itself was also unclean and poorly maintained, which made the experience even worse. We were additionally forced to pay cash and were not given a receipt, which was extremely concerning and unprofessional. We paid to camp and expected basic courtesy, consistent rules, and a welcoming environment for our children. Instead, our family left feeling targeted, intimidated, and unwelcome. Think very carefully before booking this campground. We would not recommend it to families or anyone who expects to be treated fairly and equally.

Worst Camping Experience -- Dirty, Rude, and Unwelcoming…read more Very unclean campsite with loads of mosquitoes and bugs, dirty bathrooms and extremely rude staff. RV campers if you are looking for closer site, sure, but it is not worth the trauma your kids face and constant hindrance from the rude staff. Plus cash only and they don't even provide the receipt. It is such an hostile environment that I would not recommend anyone especially with the family to be here.
