It can be a bit of a party atmosphere on weekends so sit back and watch the show! Our first couple of days were mid week and the place was only 10% occupied, so the water pressure was super high! Great for showers in the really nice bath houses, but remember your pressure regulator for your RV. Speaking of bath houses, the showers use the type of controls where you have to put the button to keep the water running. The shower that was ADA compliant wasn't working properly, my only problem all week. Checking in and the sites were great. A nice family pool and another pool with a swim up bar too. The store was well stocked and not overly inflated pricing. The weekend after memorial day it was a loud party till about an hour past quiet time, but not too bad and then it did quiet down, so come to party! :) Also it can get windy near the ocean so watch those awnings. Overall, a great time!

Front desk was contacted and sent maintenance. Maintenance advised they were aware that the system was not working and that is why window unit is in place. Reported at 5:30 pm, maintenance showed up at 6pm and adjusted the temperature and said to come back over to front desk in an hour if it didn't cool down(after acknowledging he knew it was broke). When it didn't cool off in the hour and I returned to the front desk to find they closed and no one was available.

That being said, we really love this campground, and I wanted to give them a well-deserved shout-out. We first visited in early November and liked it so much that we went back two weeks later. I was honestly surprised by some reviews claiming the owners are money-hungry or rip people off, because that was the complete opposite of our experience. We were originally supposed to stay there in October, but we had an accident that damaged our truck on the day of arrival. I called the resort to cancel and even told them I'd understand if they still needed to charge me due to the short notice. Instead, they gave us a credit for our next stay, which was wonderful and much appreciated. If you're looking for a campground loaded with frills, this isn't it. What you do get are beautiful sites, including the pull-throughs we stayed in that offer direct views of the Chesapeake Bay and some amazing sunsets. Sites include electric and water but no sewer; however, they provide septic carts and several dump stations, similar to many state parks. They also have fire rings and picnic tables, which should be standard everywhere in my opinion. Other than that, it's simply a quiet, relaxed, and scenic campground. My only wish is that WiFi were free, since it is at many other campgrounds. We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The camp store has a solid selection of necessities, and the prices were not unreasonable. Given its proximity to Rock Hall (which is an amazing little town), Chestertown, and the Bay, this is definitely going to be one of our regular camping spots. We're already planning several trips for next year.

This would be a 5 star review for sure if the WiFi coverage was better, if there was sewer at the sites, if the bathrooms were open. They made it clear that these things were not included, so it was not a surprise and they do have portable restrooms around. One more portable in the middle of the B-site area would be good. Overall this place is great and we will be returning. Already booked as a matter of fact :)

Something about the sprocket was bent. Ugh! Instead, I sprayed some sunblock on my arms neck and face, put on a hat, and took a walk. The beach is stunning. Flat, warm, sunny and not overly crowded for a July weekend. While the beach is not step free, they're trying hard to make it as accessible as possible with mats and ramps that can support a wheelchair. That's awesome. I did see a bunch of offroaders. Apparently, you can get a permit to bring your 4WD onto the beach. Pretty darned awesome, that is! What are those huge concrete structures? They're WWII-era bunkers! Yes, these huge installations were built to counter the fear of German U-boats invading Philadelphia via the Delaware River. We had 3 sites together and we had a bunch of kids in our group. We had a problem with supposedly noise. After 11pm is quiet time according to their rules. It's not like we were a bunch of college kids partying the night away. We were all family trying to have some family time. Music wasn't loud either I guess they didn't like Spanish music. I have camped in many places including state parks and never had this problem.

The campgrounds are clean. You have access to fishing . You are able to walk to the beach but we drive to the parking lot and the parking pass given by the campground covered the parking spot. The beach has lifeguards and there are two restaurants and shops. The beach has restrooms and bathhouses within free same center as the restaurants. They do not have BBQ grills. Bring your stove tops to cook and food that's doesn't required heating. They don't allow outside wood for any type of grills. You can find additional information on the website. The area is kid friendly and secure. They have a nice playground. I will try this location again.
