I had zero expectations for this hotel, given that we snagged the last room on the beach for the Seawitch festival. It turned out to be pretty amazing, however. It is about 2 blocks from the boardwalk, in the middle of everything, so the location could not have been better. There is also free parking on site, which made life so much easier. The staff was super helpful and super friendly. They let us park and use the pool before our room was ready. The hotel is older and a bit dated in some ways, such as having only 1 elevator for the entire building, however, the room was recently and thoughtfully redone and was also huge. There is also a rooftop deck, which is a great spot for drinks, corn hole, or people watching. We will definitely be back. read more

My wife and I was supposed to stay here for four nights but only lasted two nights. Cold pool that's supposed to be hot with a hot room that I'm sure was supposed to be cold Now my wife and I have stayed at numerous hotels, motels and bed and breakfast places. You expect some noise with your neighbors but this place was ridiculous. You can hear every conversation, snore, pee and flushing of toilets that sounds like a jet taking off. We got zero sleep and that's when we decided we had to check out early. It's such a shame because there was such potential. Great location. Room walls are paper thin. Furniture is made of some plastic material. Mattresses slide all over the beds. Not to mention that the indoor pool is closed for the winter. Swimming was a large part of our planned winter vacation. When we asked that our second planned night be refunded mere minutes after paying for it, we were told that we could not be issued one because "the website indicated the pool was closed." Clearly, the website did not indicate this obviously, and the staff refused to accommodate our very reasonable request. To cancel one of our two nights, so that we could book a new hotel with a pool. Strongly recommend that you stay away from this hotel what apparently hates there customers. read more

We stay at the Brighton Suites quite often due to their standard suites at affordable rates, but this year it has gone way downhill. It's not usually our favorite place to stay but it does the trick! About 2 blocks from the beach on Wilmington Ave, the hotel is a perfect location. They offer beach chairs and towels - but that's about all the amenities available. The pool area needs major updating - we have never used it. There's only 1 slow elevator that can be frustrating at check in and checkout time. The rooms themselves could use some love. Our door doesn't fully shut, the bathroom toilet seat and lock are old and broken, the beds are hard and stiff, pillows lifeless. But, they did add smart TVs this year in the main bedroom. We only got maid service one day during our 5 day stay. There was no toilet paper and only 1 bar of soap. Such a bummer! We usually like staying here. read more

We have stayed in this hotel twice now and it has quickly become our FAVORITE family-friendly hotel at the beach. Don't let the exterior fool you, the rooms are SO spacious and we love how you can close off one room to the other when one child needs to sleep first. The furnishings are definitely newer and the pull out couch looked brand new. This past stay we stayed one night at the Avenue Inn and then 2 nights at Brighton Suites. Brighton far surpasses the Avenue Inn on room quality. Chad at the front desk is fantastic and he even mailed me my orthopedic pillow I left there. Unbelievably bad experience. Had loud neighbors above us non-stop the first night we were there (didn't complain). Second night, non-stop noise again. By 11pm, called down to the front desk - person at front desk acted like they could have cared less. 20 minutes later, still loud non-stop noise, call again -- different person, same response. Now, it's midnight and the noise is still ongoing. We go down to the front desk where the person working the front desk said they'd only been working there a month and doesn't know what the quiet policy is. Was somewhat rude, and completely unhelpful. Noise continued throughout the evening, and while we were there at the front desk, she said she never gets noise complaints, as she literally gets a call from someone else complaining about the noise from that room. Next morning, go to check out and tell the manager what happened the night before. He immediately got aggressive, started yelling at us that he was done with dealing with this crap this summer, literally told us to get out and threatened to call the police! No-one was yelling at him, simply explaining the situation and that it wasn't handled well and he turned somewhat threatening out of absolutely nowhere. To say his response was not only completely out of line, but of a hostile crazy nature would be an understatement. All I can say is if you make the mistake of staying here, and have any kind of problems -- be prepared to deal with it yourself because if you dare try to get help from the front desk or manager you'll either be completely ignored or screamed at and told to get out or he'll call the police. I love my stay here and thought that the price was right considering how clean the rooms were, the location and the amenities. A few girlfriends and I decided to stay for a weekend. We had a double room with pullout sofa bed. There wasn't a kitchen but a mini-fridge, a sink and coffee maker. You know--the standard of most hotels. The rooms were super clean and I can't remember a time when the cleaning staff wasn't outside our door. Stalkers? Maybe! The elevator was TINY so have some patience or use the steps. Location was primo. We were just in the right place. It's away from the Main Street shops/bars (noise) but right around the corner to stumble "home" or go get food. The beach is about 4 blocks away and FREE. They had supplied beach chairs. Parking was only for one car, otherwise it's a little difficult so call and ask about how to buy parking passes through the town. Forewarning---cops def ticket people. read more

We were given a room next door to the laundry room. The laundry carts have hard wheels and make a loud noise on the hard floor of the laundry room. Every evening it sounded like someone was roller skating above us for hours on end. I guess the walls are especially thin. Complained to different front desk people several times who basically told us there was nothing to be done. Could not switch rooms. Could not stop the carts. Could not stop the racket every evening. I opened up the pull out sofa and this is what I found last night at 11:00pm!! Look at the pictures... I found it just like that... dirty sheets, dirty diaper Before I go further: I didn't go down or call immediately because I was so pissed I would have lost my shit and needed a place to stay. Our room was a suite with 2 double beds and a pull out sofa in a separate room. My oldest was going to sleep there. What I did do was go directly there at 7:00am and told the front desk, and I asked that the manager contact me. He didn't contact me right away, so I went back hours later after checking out. He comes out, and tells me IT'S IMPOSSIBLE that this happened. He tells me his head of housekeeping triple checked that room. Well whoever they are, they should be fired. I don't go staying at hotels with a f***ing loaded diaper to save money!!! I told him I wanted half my money back and he did do it but proceeded to tell me... "here I don't want any problems!" I just don't get it! How or why would I make this up??? I've stayed at this hotel once before and had a great time. The room was super noisy at night, the AC roared on and off all night, we could not sleep. My wife got really sick vomiting. I tried to check out at 8 AM after the first night (the posted checkout time is 11 am) and get my money back for the second night, and go to a quieter hotel. I know what to expect from this hotel after reading others reviews but still hoping that we will be assigned to a much better renovated room than what we had. I could tell our bathroom and bedroom were totally refurbished but so happened being the most adult ( unluckily a reviewer) for the party of 6, we stayed in the living room and used the couch sleeper which honestly was not comfortable. Blankets were old, pillows were small and the carpet was grossed. I will appreciate more of the desk if they provided a pad and pen to use and a closer outlet in the section for high technology gadgets that everyone nowadays are carrying. I like their small kitchen. Happy with their refrigerator size. Perfect for family who loves bringing food although we did not use it much except for storing left-over foods and few bottles of water. We got the chance to use their pool twice. On Saturday afternoon, it looked like it was never cleaned. But then on Monday morning, luckily we picked the right time, it was freshly cleaned. The sundeck next to the pool has view of the streets. Nice place to relax and to enjoy the smell of the next door's "All day breakfast serve" restaurant. Our room were on the top floor and every time we passed by the hall , we have trouble breathing, it has very poor ventilation. The following are pluses of the place: Free parking in the basement. No need to worry leaving the car overnight. Free beach umbrella, chairs and beach towels. One block away from the beach. Within reach the enjoyable main strip. They accept late check -in and could hold your luggage for a late check-out. We went on a busy summer long weekend. I think the price we paid was a ripped off for what we get. Third floor has a nice pool and rooftop patio with lounge chairs - basic and not aesthetically appealing but good to have available. Hotel also have free beach towels and large rain umbrellas for guests. The decor is a tasteful art-deco-ish style which works. Convenient market and restaurant below the hotel, at street level. I hadn't been to Rehoboth for several years and I wasn't familiar with this hotel, but we loved it there. The front desk staff and the housekeeping staff were all very nice and helpful. They provide beach chairs and towels to take to the beach - that kept wet towels and sandy chairs OUT of our room. The front room is a separate living room with a fold-out sofa, an easy chair, two upright "dining" chairs, a granite oval coffee-table, granite end table, and granite 1/2-circle wall-side dining table, a TV on a cabinet with three drawers, lots of lighting including two wall sconces above the couch, a row of wall-mounted and base level kitchen cabinets with a full counter under them, a bar-sized sink, a microwave, a mini fridge, a coffee-maker (I never use those), and an under-cabinet light. The closet between the LR and BR was wide, with hangers, a safe, a full-width shelf, an iron and ironing board, plus I liked there were no doors on the closet - they are often a pain to slide. The bedroom has two double-sized beds (I prefer queens but those are hard to find in dense areas) with clean, white linens and bedspreads, two soft pillows plus two decorative pillows per bed, a shared nightstand with light and alarm clock, a floor lamp, a sitting chair, a long dresser with 6 drawers and a TV, a full length mirror on the wall, and a large window with both opaque and room-darkening curtains. The bathroom was nicely tiled, one sink on a large granite vanity, two storage shelves under the vanity, lots of towel sets, and a clean tub/shower. The pool on the third floor was inside and clean, and beside the pool is a roof-top patio with several tables and chairs. Only two negatives I can think of: the closest ice machine was either not working or just always out of ice (but the next closest machine worked fine), and the free coffee in the lobby wasn't strong enough (a personal preference so no big deal). The front door of the room opens to an open atrium which provides filtered light, the atrium has okay design elements, but is fine. There is also a window between the LR and the atrium, but we mainly kept the light and/or darkening curtains closed. There is an elevator but we used the steps mostly. The underground parking garage was very convenient, especially when we checked out during a rain storm. I'm pretty fussy about hotel rooms, and I really liked this one. The separate LR was bigger than I expected. Plus it is a GREAT location near the beach, restaurants, shops, and the concert bandstand. A++ read more

Gross. As soon as we walked into the room there was a thermos style water bottle on the tv stand. I thought since we just passed housekeeping maybe they just forgot it. So I sat it outside in case they came back for it. They knock on the door 5 min later asking was this mine? Gross. I proceed to the bathroom to find a dirty sock under the vanity as well as the little foils on top of the toiletries. Yuck. I go down to the front desk to ask for towels for the next day simply because I was on my way to the parking garage (which has large holes and leaks in the ceiling). I explained what I had found and the front desk said we'll send a basket full of towels and new toiletries up. I reiterated I was here for towels bc I prefer to not have cleaning services throughout my stay (anywhere). Next day a basket full of towels outside the door. Sigh. I leave and come back 4 hours later and my bathroom has been straightened up. Not living area nor bedroom area. I specifically had the sign on the door and had already received towels. No manager on duty as the the next days front desk said they come in at 9 and kind of come and go. So gross and rude. Go to the Avenue at the inn Avis's the street. Decided to spend the night in Rehoboth Beach and came across Brighton Suites! I booked through hotels.com easily and received confirmation from the hotel the next day. We got in before check in which is at 3pm but Chad, the general manager, set us up with parking and said my room would be ready after we came from the beach. He even gave me a courtesy call to tell me it was ready. He also was kind enough to store my infant's milk in their fridge while we were gone. Parking is free, for only one car, and they have a garage which was very nice when visiting a busy beach town. The hotel is four floors and only has one elevator. You can also take the stairs. They have a bunch of signs pertaining to being safe during this pandemic such as - only two people in the elevator (unless a family together), wearing a mask, keeping 6ft, taking the stairs instead. Our room was great ! It was very clean. We got the king suite and had a little living room area situation with a sink, microwave, and fridge. The bathroom was clean and a decent size. The bed was very comfortable ! Two tvs were in the room , kind of old but we aren't there to watch tv right lol There was plenty of space for the three of us and for my toddler to walk around. We did not get a chance to visit the pool area. The hotel is located a block away from the beach and literally a block away from all the shops and restaurants, it's such a great location! The hotel actual has a convenience store on the corner and a breakfast place! I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come again! read more

Within 1 block walking distance to the main area of shopping as well as to the beach. There were tons of restaurants to chose from in that area. The parking garage made it very convenient. For a beach hotel, I'd give Brighton Suites Hotel 3.5 stars. It's at a great location in Rehoboth Beach, about a block away from beach and boardwalk. I stayed here for two nights for a bachelorette party. The suites were very clean and spacious. It had a wet bar, microwave, and sink. There is a tv in the bedroom and another one in the living room. The bedroom has two double beds and the living room couch had a pull-out bed. The bathroom had plenty of towels and counter space. While the rooms look renovated, it is still an old hotel. You can hear every flush from the neighboring rooms and walls are pretty thin. There is only one elevator in the hotel and it's slow. Walking up the stairs may be faster. There are only 4 floors. There is a small indoor pool on the 3rd floor, which is also where the ice machine is. They give out towels and beach chairs to use at the beach. One parking pass per room in the garage, but there is metered street parking right outside with 3-hour limit. Free parking from 12am to 10am. read more

Just now venturing out after extensive surgery. Hotel not just denied me a wheelchair space I could use , but shouted at me from TWO different sides ( from the street and the sidewalk) to move the car. They screamed that my car was not tall enough. They did not care or listen to what I went through in the lower parking area- difficult for a walker, badly asphalted " ramp" to the elevator. If I tripped, it would cost me another $36,000.00 as my contact with Holy Cross Hospital systems charge me with researching hotel properties that advertise accessibility. The Brighton Suites seem to meet the doctor's criteria and they could but then deny it. I am leaving with bad , hurtful memories and other unnecessary discomfort. read more

Great place to stay-- great location. Bought a groupon for here for two nights-- $300.. seemed a bit pricey but seemed comparable to most in the area! We got a king suite--- thats two sepearte rooms--- one with a couch and a tv, the other with the bed and tv. We had a patio door that opened (no patio though) which was pretty nice. Had a wet bar (fridge, microwave, sink, and coffee pot). Those parts of the room were outdated-- pink cabinets, old green carpet-- but it was clean so no complaints. Bathroom was just renovated. Towels are a bit cheap... I pulled my towel and it moved the end pieces down and the bar fell out into me on the shower... it was light so no big deal.. it was actually kind of funny.. But just be a little gentle on them ha. Overall, clean and so close to everything! Didnt use the pool. They have umbrellas and beach chairs you can use for free. read more

Awful. The sheets on our bed were dirty - no idea what was on them. That, on its own, is a pretty big deal. But then we asked the front desk to change the sheets and told them the ones on our bed were dirty - no apology, no concern. They then proceeded to leave a change of sheets on the chair by the door - didn't make the bed, didn't even strip the old sheets. (We were out of the room for hours, so it's not as though they didn't want to come in while we were there.) I will never come back here. read more

We really enjoyed our stay at Brighton Suites and we would definitely stay there again. We loved the two separate living areas. Our two kids stayed on one side and we were able to somewhat have a life after they went to bed and not whisper and tip-toe all over the place. I called ahead just to ask about a pack and play and it was in our room when we arrived. Very nice service. A few things to consider: 1. There is one elevator. If you have to use the elevator, expect to wait several minutes. 2. The walls are thin. This didn't bother me because I brought along two kids and it just made me feel better hearing other kids being rambunctious and parents losing their cool. If you're a parent, pack a sound machine for you and the kids and you'll be just fine. 3. The pull out sofa would not be suitable for adults. We used the pull out sofa for our 3.5 year old to sleep on. She slept great with no complaints. BUT there is no way an adult would be comfortable sleeping there. But with all that, the price was right. The location was amazing. The staff was friendly. They hand out towels and chairs which is great! No wet towels to hang dry. I loved coming back to a made up room after a morning at the beach and again in the evening after being out and about. I do wish that they would be a little more environmentally friendly and leave the hanging towels alone so that they can be reused. read more

This is a great choice in hotel to stay at! I booked though hotels.com and got a pretty good deal, about $280 for 2 week nights. For a hotel a block away from the beach, that price really can't be beat unless it is a run down place. This was not. You could tell the building has a bit of an age too it, but the rooms themselves seemed to be in pretty good shape. And most importantly, everything was very clean. At first we tried parking in the garage that is on the main street, but we were told by the person working in that garage that hotel guest should use the lower garage, which we found around the corner. Check in was super quick and easy. They pulled up our reservation by our name, got our license plate number and printed us off a permit to stick in the car window, and parking was included in the rate. We chose to take the stairs as neither of us liked elevators, and we didn't have too much stuff. Stairs were a bit warm, but like everything else, clean. Our room was on the third floor, and we were very happy with it. There was a living area, and then a separate bed area divided by a door, and small bathroom with a shower and tub combo. The living area had a microwave, a mini fridge, coffee maker, and a sink. By the upper garage, there was an area that you could grab free beach chairs and towels from, which was nice. There was only two minor negatives to this place: The first is the fact that you weren't able to turn the temperature down below 68. Even though it said it was 68, it felt warmer in the room. We kept the fan on to keep the air circulating, which I guess helped a little bit, but since the vent for the fan was in the hallway of the room it didn't really affect the room as much. The second would be the pool is really small and only goes up to 4 feet. That being said I would stay here again without a doubt. read more

We came here during spring break because it was familiar an we knew we'd have fun. We did have a ball and will come back to the area. Unsure about this hotel again though. Good things about the hotel are: walking distance to the beach, small shops and great places to eat. Very clean halls and rooms. friendly front desk clerks. Not so good things are: walls are paper THIN. So thin that we could hear all the kids and tv in the room on one side, our neighbors on the other side having "adult fun" and even the person upstairs urinating. If neighbor noise is an issue...this is not the place for you. While the pool is nice and now heated, its VERY small and there is no one monitoring the number of people in the pool. The garage is also super small for a hotel of this size. Lastly, for some reason...the hallways were COLD...almost as if you were outside. Overall a good stay but make sure you dont have high expectations for quiet, swimming and parking. read more

Overall, a very nice hotel with a vintage feel but very clean and has obviously been recently renovated. In my opinion, it is a great value for the price. The interior atrium is nice and the pool on the third floor is a great place to hang out if the weather is a little cold during the end of season. The room is a suite, with a fold out couch, TV, DVD player, kitchenette, refrigerator and kitchenette in the front room. We didn't need to use the couch, so I can't comment on the comfort of the fold-out bed. The restroom is located between the front room and bedroom and ours was immaculate. The water pressure in the shower was slightly lacking but it wasn't problematic. One plus for the bathroom is that they give you more than enough towels for the beach in your room. The bedroom is comfortable with another TV and DVD player. Overall the bedroom and linens were clean. The location is unbeatable: 3 min walk to the boardwalk, over 30 restaurants within a 10 minute walking radius. However, it's located one block off of the main East/West street that is 1 block to the North, so it's fairly quiet at night (although to be fair, we went at the tail end of the season in mid Sep so it could have been an anomaly). The staff was extremely friendly and they went out of their way to acquaint my wife and I with the area since we had never been to Rehoboth Beach before. I found the housekeeping staff to be pleasant and they were quick to offer additional towels during our stay. The downstairs parking was definitely a nice bonus and quite convenient. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel and will probably be staying here again next time I'm in Rehoboth. read more

This was the only place in town that was mildly affordable for my friends and I over a long summer weekend. For reference, Brighton Suites charged us about the same as what I'd expect to pay at some of the nicer hotels in DC. I didn't expect luxury, but I expected something along the same lines, quality-wise. Wrong. This place is flat-out a dump. My friends got to their room, found that three lights weren't working, and that there was, uh, something, smeared all over the side of a toilet. Housekeeping came up and cleaned, but apparently there were still some room issues. When they went to bed, a top sheet was missing, and it apparently looked like the blanket hadn't been cleaned in weeks. My room had stuff smeared on the walls of the bathroom, chipped and worn down furnishings, and areas of the rooms that hadn't been cleaned in lord knows how long, On top of the housekeeping issues, there is very little insulation between rooms, so you can hear everything. This was especially great, considering the number of unsupervised kids that were tearing through the hallways at all hours of the morning and night. Some of this could have been made up for with great customer service, but unfortunately that was lacking as well. From what I understand, nothing was offered to my friends for their disgusting bathroom experience besides a halfhearted apology. There was another woman in the lobby complaining about similar issues, and the front desk worker essentially accused her of lying about the problems with the room. In front of other guests. Loudly. It was awful. Just...don't. This place seems like a great idea because of the location, but for the price, it's totally not worth it. You'll find a better deal on rentals through a site like AirBnB (and we wish we had known about this option sooner). Or just spend an extra $50/night and go somewhere, anywhere, else. read more
