After a 25 mile, morning ride on the Tanglefoot bike trail, this was the perfect place for lunch. The triple salad (chicken salad, broccoli, and fruit) came with a poppy seed dressing made in house. Best dressing ever!

This was my first time going to Tallahatchie Gourmet after hearing so many good things about it. Due to COVID they were at half capacity, which I'm sure made things difficult for staff (considering how busy they were) but they handled it graciously. I was seated within 10 minutes of arriving at noon, and got my food within another 10 minutes. I ordered the shrimp and grits with a side salad. I don't usually like salads that don't have meat on them, but this was an exception to the rule. The salad had mixed greens, tomatoes, feta cheese, and an exquisite dressing. The shrimp and grits were both delicious and had excellent presentation.

Shrimp and grits, veggies, and wild rice.

Good food. Friendly people. Usually dine here whenever I'm in town. I prefer locally owned restaurants.

Stopped in for supper. Food was good. Service was average for being busy. Downtown is a nice atmosphere at night.

I ordered the LandShark rolls, Boudin egg rolls, Bayou Mac, and a southern-style catfish. Let me just say... this spot was VERY good. Now the real star of the show? The LandShark rolls Soft, cheesy, packed with crawfish -- man... these were dangerous lol. I'm almost glad I didn't come here earlier during my trip because I would've been eating these every single day. No question. The Bayou Mac was also on point -- rich, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering again. Honestly, I had no complaints about anything I tried. The restaurant was pretty packed, which tells you everything you need to know. But if you're in a rush, they've got a food truck-style pickup outside, so you can grab your food and keep it moving. If you're anywhere near Oxford or Mississippi State and craving seafood, this is a must-try spot. Nothing but positive vibes from me -- I'd definitely come back. Thumbs up all around

We arrived at 5:30 and we were told that it would be about an hour to wait, but were seated in about 25 minutes. Our waitress Sarah was the cutest, sweetest little thing. She was happy to answer all our questions and checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. We started with the Crawfish bread and it was AMAZING!!!! It was my favorite part of the whole night. Think of a bread that is perfectly soft, but also has a perfect light crunch on the outside and then cut it in half and top it with a yummy creamy cheesy crawfish dip and pop it in the oven. It was sooooo good! For the main course we tried their special of the day; Blackened Redfish Thibodaux. It is a blackened redfish topped with crispy fried onions and crawfish etouffee served over popcorn rice. My husband devoured the whole thing. He said it had an amazing flavor. We also ordered the 3 piece blackened catfish with fries and hush puppies. The fish had a perfect Cajun seasoning flavor along with the butter it was cooked in and is served with lemon to squeeze on top. It was really tasty as well. Don't skip out on the fries though, because they are just as good as everything else. We loved them too! We ended the night with their homemade pecan praline bread pudding and ice cream. While we did enjoy this dish, it's not the best one we have ever had. The sauce is a little thicker like gravy and we would have preferred more of a true caramel sauce. All in all we both agreed that it was worth the drive from the Memphis area and we will definitely be back!! Give them a try if you are ever near Hernando.

From the minute we walked in, everyone was friendly and the place feels welcoming. The food... to die for!!! The stuffed crawfish bread... delicious! Crab stuffed grouper... oh my, so good! Bacon wrapped beef tenderloin... yes, please! And to top it all off, the infamous bread pudding... do NOT pass it up!!! I cannot wait to go back.
