If google maps has not directed us, I would never have known that this place existed. I've driven by this place dozens of times and never realized that a really great burger existed here. This is your old fashioned Hamburger joint where you sit in your car and the waitress comes out to take your order. Our wait time to get our food was about 15 minutes from when we ordered it. The burgers had really good flavor and the chili cheese fries were amazing, though I would have preferred a little less "smothering" of the chili and cheese. Searched for the best burger in Panama City on the internet and the internet wasn't wrong. When you pull up STAY IN YOUR CAR as the servers will come to you. Definitely get a Jumbo burger Sour Cream Logs (aka potato wedges) with ranch dressing. We happened to stop by on a Tuesday when they offered free dessert (Apple or Strawberry Cream Cheese fried pie) that you MUST NOT pass up on! The pies are so good we plan on ordered some take home. This is fresh food not fast food so be patient. The staff is excellent and even offered advice on what to try. We live two hours away and we will be back again when it Panama City. How good was it? Although we haven't lived in Panama City for several years it was great to visit and see them still going strong. There were several vehicles already there but our server was quick to come out, greet us and take our order right away. She was so nice and took our order of burgers, onion rings and fries. After a short wait she arrived with our food and drinks. She was very attentive and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was hot and tasty too. Been coming to this drive-in dive for my whole life. I would ride my bike 3 miles to snag two Cuban sandwiches for $1.50~! The prices are higher, but the food is still something to experience. This is local history & a local favorite for true locals. This is your typical drive up greasy food joint. The burgers are well seasoned and dripping with juices that the buns can't soak up no more. The fries are good curly cut. The onion rings are in house made and some of the best in town. The service is great and friendly. They do phone orders and that what the drive up window is for. But, I don't think the bathrooms have been cleaned since I was in Highschool and came here during our lunch break. Don't pass this place up. It's on your way out of town if your heading North on 231. If you want a great, no frills old fashioned burger, this is your place. No fancy sauces and toppings. Burger, bun, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles with mayo, ketchup and mustard. No frills and very good. The fries are awesome too. They actually have an extensive menu but I cannot force myself away from ordering a burger! Don't bother stopping if you are in a hurry. Tally-Ho is really a drive-in sort of place. They want to come up to your car and bring you your food. It's absolutely not designed for any walk-up service, though there are a couple of picnic tables if you prefer. I was told that their Cuban Sandwich was excellent, so that was what I ordered. It was ready very quickly and I opened it back up at the office. This is the strangest Cuban I've ever had. I don't recall seeing lettuce on a Cuban. And this wasn't ham and roast pork though it did have salami and some sort of melted cheese that was definitely not Swiss. No pickles? No mustard. Very different. Onion rings is a huge order, enough for two. Very thin sliced onion in batter and quite tasty, if you like your onion rings that way. A little greasy, but served very hot. read more

Apparently this is a rea local favorite. It's a classic American car hop type of spot. You pull up and the waitress comes out to take your order, or there is a drive through. I was with my friend who had grown up in PCB and she HAD to come here and get some food while she was in town. She ordered for us and got the whole family several "Cuban" sandwiches, sour cream potato wedges and fries, onion rings and I asked for a jumbo cheese burger. For the price the Cubans were decent. Not out of this world, but still good. The burger was the real star. Really flavorful and juicy. Right on par with the best "fast food" burgers I have had anywhere. I saw a review that mentioned In & Out burger and I would say that's a fair comparison. The onion rings were crispy and had what may have been a corn meal batter that I enjoyed. The food was at best on the level of a truck stop. nothing special or amazing. server was amazing but it took 20 plus minutes to get the food. A stalwart since 1940 something, took us 10 years to try it. Plain simple burger - good but nothing special. Chicken livers were fantastic. The curb service was outstanding. We ordered three pork chop sandwiches. The bread was stale on all. I could not eat the bread and had to take the sandwich apart. My husband was tired and hungry so he tolerated eating his sandwich. I called back and the woman said the cook said "that's all the bread we have" so I asked for a credit for my sandwich. I was told only if we brought the food back. It is unreasonable to ask someone to drive all the way back and further ruin their dinner time. read more
