Rice is so nasty, dry and taste like 5 days old. The corn in the rice was black, thinking burnt corn? Tamales were extra salty. All 4 of our breakfast burritos were green. $60 for this???? So disappointing

This was in my shredded beef burrito last night. When my son reached out to tell them, they told him it may not have been from them. Who the heck would it be from then? It was gross. I don't even want to think of what part of a cow it came from.

Being born and raised in Denver, I have eaten at pretty much every Tamale Kitchen. They are hit or miss. This one is a hit. Called about 5 minutes before arriving to order a breakfast burrito. When I arrived it was ready. There was a short line that moved very quickly. The lady at the counter was polite and very efficient at getting us all served. the burrito was great! No complaints!

I'm so glad I got to come here while I was home! This is my favorite location, the people are friendly and for whatever reason the food tastes better. I always order the chicken taco plate and a crispy Chile relleno smothered sooooo good this store is always clean too!!!!

It's OK, but only OK. The nachos are made with nacho cheese sauce rather than real cheese. So, not bad, just not particularly good.

Couldn't eat the cheese enchiladas. Their enchilada sauce is orange and tastes odd. The food was served cold too.

Why did you have to begin using canned beans? As long time customers of this location, we are very disappointed.

In the mood for delicious street tacos? This is what you've been looking for. I had been here once…read moreand the food was really good. I don't remember what I ordered though so at the time it just wasn't very stand out-ish. I recently went back with some friends because I told them I was in the mood for tacos. I tried a few different ones, the Carnitas, the Barbacoa, and the Lengua. I was full with three, but it was so good. I ordered a fourth and my husband who normally gets my leftovers - didn't get any leftovers from me this time! He got a couple different tacos from what I had largely. We ordered about the same, but he got the shrimp which he said was delicious as well. I also tried the signature, Bellanova margarita - I must say that was a little unexpected, not your traditional margarita it was very sweet, so probably not something I'd order again since I prefer stronger tasting drinks, but the coconut flavor in it was delicious if you like coconut. The service was excellent! When we arrived, the interior was super packed and super loud so I was very relieved when we got to sit on the back patio, which turned out great because even though there was a little noise there, we were able to hear each other much better. The server was excellent. She kept checking on us. She answered all our questions and was very kind and accommodating. I've been thinking about the tacos since then, it's been about a week, I can't wait to go back.

I really enjoyed my recent visit to Cencalli. I ordered the Pork Pork al Pastor Taco and carnitas…read moretaco and it was very authentic. The corn tacos were very fresh and table service was great. They have a great selection of drinks, alcoholic and regular, and our server was fast but didn't rush us at all. The only confusing thing about our visit was that we had to wait in the back of the restaurant for our table, fine no issues with that. Except that they told me someone would be "right there" to get a drink order for when we were waiting for our table. Sure, well after 10 minutes no one had come by where we were sitting to get our order. We even tried to nicely flag down a server, but no one listened. So I went up to the bar myself and was sharply told, "no, you'll have to wait for someone to come by. We can't have anyone up here." Okay??? A server did soon after stop by, however I found that process not smooth at all. Overall, though, a good restaurant and I would even love to stop by there for brunch sometime.

I went to Smack Daddy's food truck and tried some of their food…read more Smack Daddy's is parked in the parking lot across the street from scoop ice cream shop. I ordered the quesadilla with carne asada and it came with two sides of sour cream, one mild salsa, and one hot salsa. It also came with garnish on the side of lettuce and tomatoes. The quesadilla was very good it had cheese, carne asada, onions, and some other peppers. It was not super spicy but definitely had a lot of flavor in my opinion. The cheese was extremely rich and made for a great quesadilla! The burger was very good, it came with a big side of fries that were very seasoned! The fries had a lot of salt, pepper, and other spices on it. I love salty food and thought it was perfect. But some people might think it was too much so you may want to ask light salt or no seasoning at all. The burger was very good and every bite had great flavor with the smack sauce, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and onion. I enjoyed both items that I ordered and had plenty left over to eat later. It was a little pricey as I paid $28 for the quesadilla and burger but it was reasonably priced for the portion size and quality of the food. I just expect things to be a little cheaper when it comes to food trucks. The service was very good, I had an older Hispanic couple running the truck when I visited and they were very kind, professional, and put love into the food. The ambiance is cool, I mean it is a food truck with no seating. They have some chairs outside but no table. They also sell drinks, the options that I saw were Coke and Pepsi. I would definitely give snack daddy's a try if you are around downtown Littleton and want to support this small business. I will definitely be back to try some more of the menu.

I would hate to give this place five stars where everyone can see it. Cause then I might get too…read morebusy. But as someone who has tried to find a good Mexican restaurant in the Denver area I was happy to find this place. Food was great and the service is awesome. Can't wait to go back.

This Mexican restaurant is a hole in the wall place (now three holes in the walls due to them…read moreexpanding) that's tucked away in an old strip mall, close to Bowles & Platte Canyon, the interior is colorful & you are usually greeted by a friendly employee. We have eaten here several times, and the food & service is typically fine. I wouldn't say it is the best I have had, but it is flavorful. Margaritas here are very sweet, and the tequila flavor was nonexistent. I have ordered Carne asada the past two times we have visited, and it was VERY tough (could barely chew it tough), they ask how you would like it cooked, but it doesn't matter- it is going to be served well done, which adds to the toughness of the meat. This past visit I asked to substitute the jalapenos for onions; I was charged $2.50! We also asked for more chips for the table and were charged $1.50. I understand food cost, so I do understand that charge. HOWEVER, I can go to any grocery store and purchase an entire 2lb. bag of organic onions for $2.89, so $2.50 for what looked like an eighth to a quarter of an onion was a bit steep, and if you are going to charge for SUBSTITUTING onion should you not refund for taking the jalapeno off? *This place will no longer be in the Mexican food rotation; there are better places out there where one doesn't get nickel and dimed for average at best food.

One thing I really appreciate is the fast service and how quickly the food comes out, even when they're busy. The service is impressively fast. The ambience is great and there's plenty of seating, so even though it's popular, it never feels cramped. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Los Dos Portillos is consistently good. I've been to multiple locations, and the quality is just as good every time. Occasionally, you'll even catch a mariachi band, which adds a really fun, authentic vibe. One time they even humored me and played "Poco Loco," which thoroughly delighted me. There will almost always be a wait on Friday and Saturday nights, but honestly, it's a reflection of how popular the place is, and it's worth it. I grew up in an area with a high Hispanic population, so my standards for Mexican food are pretty high. This place absolutely delivers. The host was welcoming and was provided with chips and salsa right away. The server was quick to welcome us, taking our drink orders, and providing us with more time with the menu due to our first visit. The menu is extensive and has the standard offerings of other local Mexican restaurants. Lunch included the Chimichanga with green chili and sides of rice and beans, and the other a combo plate of the Beef Burrito, Cheese Enchilada and Pork Tamale. The server asked if we wanted mild, medium or hot green chili, which was a nice offering. For us the hot green chili was very good, with enough heat to make us "sweat", but not overpower our taste buds. The medium was just about right for nice flavorful meal with the lingering heat. All the meals were served quickly and piping hot and had nice flavor all around. Overall, the lunch was good and service excellent, and parking was great with plenty of off-street parking. I would not hesitate to return when in the mood for some consistent and comfort Mexican food, and great service.
