Came here for an early dinner at the izakaya on 2/F and the food and service are very good. The cocktails are so tasty and pretty! The food in good size and delicious. It's hard to find a good yakitori in Queens area. It is a great place to hangout with friends and family. If you are an animated fans, this is a must go place to check out! read more

I was looking for an Izakaya to have some light food and beers with my friends, found Tamashii Gold and couldn't ask for a better place to hang out. We ordered a bunch of meat and veggie yakitori, okonomiyaki, sushi, kara age, along with some beers. The waitress told us it was happy hour before 6pm, so Sapporo on draft was $5. The meal was perfect, the service was great, and the decor was full of One Piece merch. They even have 89 volumes of One Piece manga in English to read if you are interested (just don't be that person who steals a book and ruin it for everyone. Put it back when you're done) The only weird thing about this place is that the Izakaya and the ramen are separate. If you want Izakaya, you need to go to the 2nd floor. Ramen is on the first floor, but you can't order from both menus even though it's the same restaurant. I understand space is tight, but the setup is just weird. I know we're not the only group where some people would want ramen, while others want Izakaya. The current setup seems to be a lost opportunity to accommodate everyone. I hope this is something management would consider addressing in the future. read more

Was walking on Bell Blvd and saw Tamashii and was surprised because I never noticed it before. The front aesthetics were very cute and when I walked in, it reminded me of a Japanese ramen shop. They gave us edamame on the house as we were waiting for our food. My boyfriend got the Chasyu ramen and I got the Kara Miso ramen. I really enjoyed my ramen, but unfortunately, my boyfriend did not enjoy his. The Chasyu ramen broth was not rich in flavor and was kind of watery and bland. The noodle texture was fine and I feel like they didn't give that many pieces of chasyu when the menu literally said extra pork slices. Even though his ramen didn't hit the spot, I think my Kara Miso was great. The spice level was perfect and the broth was nice and rich. The noodle texture was good and all the toppings in the bowl were filling. Overall, the price is average and the ramen was decent. I'd recommend coming here to try. and hopefully their Chasyu ramen broth will improve. read more

This place is actually near my house. I usually order thru ubereats. I love ramen. I actually had a ramen spot myself in the city few years back. but long story short closed cuz of bad management. New location!! I've visited their other locations over the past few years, and was excited to hear about a new one opening on bell Blvd! The interior is cute and cozy, and a must if you are a one-piece fan (if you go, you will see why!) Food was excellent as expected. I went for dinner with a friend and we got a few things to share. My husband ordered vegetable miso ramen and I ordered pork katsu and kara age chicken . The ramen was okay but I don't think the soup was vegetarian. I know miso is usually heavy but It took long time to digest . I liked the donkatsu overall, Sauce was good . The server noticed I was korean so she spoke to me korean and welcoming. Was walking on Bell and just stumbled upon Tamashii Gold. The shop is pretty small; I don't think it's suitable for a bigger party unless you reserve ahead. I went ahead and ordered their classic Chasyu ramen and unfortunately the soup base was lacking . Based on reviews and store owner responses, it's supposed to be a cleaner base, but I feel like there could have been more flavor added to it. My girlfriend ordered the Kara Miso and tasted much better than mine. So rich in flavor and it got a good spice kick to it. The noodles in both bowls had a good texture and they gave enough portions. This restaurant is cozy. The staff were attentive but not pushy. I generally like raw octopus, but I've had better elsewhere as the octopus here was hard to chew. Also, the lemon that came with the octopus had a sticker with it which wasn't appealing. The pork buns were not so special, so we can skip it. Love the cute decor related to One Piece. We went on a rainy Thursday night and made it in time for happy hour! The 20% off yakitori skewers and cocktails were perfect. Coming from a background of Japanese food, I was hoping that the ramen here would satisfy my appetite. Underneath is what we ordered and our ranking: Potato croquette 3/5 (it's... fried mush potatoes. Nothing special) Tamashii Ramen 1/5 (This was my entree and tbh, the soup was bland, the noodles felt too soft and overall, this was the first time I wasn't able to finish a bowl of ramen because it made me lose my desire to eat it...) We tried the miso ramen along with a bunch of other little appetizers and everything was really good. This is my new favorite spot. Since they opened I've tried different menus from here. I normally order agedashi tofu, champion, Kara hiyashi chuka(if you don't mind the cold noodles) , veggie ramen and kara-age don etc....... It just makes me keep coming back this spot. Because if I don't know what I want, I always can find something here. Also the food taste yummy with reasonable price. And I can tell they maintain this restaurant so clean. Service is always great. Since i become a "regular" here, they give me mochi ice cream on the house. I have no complaints. If you are in this area, you should try! Most appetizers were good, tako wasabi and monkfish liver but skip the agedashi tofu and crab croquettes(no hint of any crab to be found). Ramen is usually one of our top choices for dinner. I have tried the Astoria location and really like it there and so when I saw they opened one on Bell Blvd. I had to try it. The ramen is usually satisfying to me but the only thing is that sometimes there is ground pork which comes with a sauce. It makes the soup heartier and richer but I enjoy the clean taste of the broth and do not like all the bits and bobs of the pork floating in the soup. What I do like about the ramen is the springy noodles and the corn with the scallions and chopped seaweed and my favorite bamboo but the sliced cabbage I could do without but it does give texture and a slight crunch. The two generous pieces of Chashu they give you is also very soft and rich with a lightly broiled taste which is very good I wonder if they hit it with a torch at the end. I also like their pork cutlet rice with curry. I like their hearty curry sauce and the pork cutlet is usually very crispy and ample portion with rice and small salad. I like the all wood design of the interior and dark lighting with intimate seating arrangements. Also if you pay cash they may offer you a discount on takeout. There is a good selection of sake and even plum wine and soju if you dine in. The waitress is always really friendly and nice and I like the packaging they give for takeout. Definitely one of my go-tos for ramen if you are on Bell. read more

It was a really good surprise. Coming from a Japanese background, I was a bit skeptical with how everything was gonna taste. But the Kara age was perfectly fried and the sauce was great complement. The chicken gyozas were very crispy and the pork buns were very juicy and tender. I had the curry katsu osusame which was very flavorful. I really liked the way the curry had pieces of chicken in the broth and the chicken was very crispy. The salad was a nice finishing touch.
