There is a lot of improvement for the menu and I think the service. I had visited with family on Sunday morning when they opened and was taken back by how cold and drafty it was inside. Climate control sets the mood and tone A LOT, so walking into a restaurant where its cold inside was not very comfortable. We were seated right away, but the service was a little lackluster. I think they have some upselling skills to work on, because instead of trying to encourage to try other items, the server almost shamed us. That was weird. We waited a long time for our food, and I understand that they had just opened, but was nothing prepared at all? I can only speak for the quality of my order and what my spouse had to say. My order was the crispy kare-kare which I was very excited for. I believe the sauce for the kare-kare along with the vegetables could have been cooked down a little longer. It was too grainy, and the vegetables were still raw which was not good with the kare-kare. The actual crispy pork was great. I was served rice and bagoóng along with my order. The rice was not fluffy at all, and that's strange for a place that just opened. My spouse ordered the longganisa breakfast plate and he did enjoy it, but he was expecting at least two fried eggs, not one. There is a lot that could be worked on, but I don't think we will go out of our way to drive here. We finally had the chance to come here tonight for dinner, and we left very pleased! I came back here again last week and the food was still great overall, but there were just multiple things that went wrong with our order. It took about 45 min for any food to be served after ordering. When the sisig plate arrived, it wasn't hot enough to cook the raw egg on top, so we had to ask them to bring it back to cook the egg. We also ordered the family platter and they forgot to add any lumpia. We didn't receive the lumpia until the very end, but it was freshly cooked at least. The halo halo was a big redeeming factor because it was really good. I felt bad for our server because he was incredibly nice and helpful and apologetic, but he seemed to be the only one serving every table in the restaurant and it was pretty busy. read more

Their menu is quite vast but offers a majority of the Filipino dish staples so if whether you grew up eating Filipino foods or are trying it for the first time, they got you covered. This sour pork tamarind soup is available only Friday-Sunday, so we wanted to see if it worth it. Overall, broth was good, but felt it missing something (maybe a little more fish sauce, some Thai chili, but it's more personal preference here) but wish they added long beans and more eggplant. As for meat, they do give an abundant amount. Sizzling sisig- 5/5- must get! Fried pork with their sauce that's sour and savory. In addition with the egg, it perfectly balance the acidity. Authentic Filipino food. This is probably the best I've found in Arizona. They don't Americanize it much. It is what it should be. Probably one of the only places that is better is our house, because my wife is a really good Filipina cook. But since you can't come over, this is probably your next best choice. You'll probably have to try different things to see what you like if you're an American. I can almost guarantee you'll like adobo, shanghai, and lechon. Other flavors can emphasize the sour flavor, which Filipinos love but may be too much for a typical American. Definitely try it out. It's not like any other Asian cuisine. For August 2024 UYE International Supper Club, the organizers brought us here and I am so glad I made it tonight. Other friends got the milkfish, lemongrass chicken, adobo pork and everyone raved about their dish! Overall, it was a great experience here. The food is excellent, the service was good, and the price was very reasonable. The place used to be a Korean BBQ place (as per Norm), and there are some fun booths that are painted bright yellow here. I'd say it has a fast casual atmosphere.
