We went looking for a car upgrade for our family. We were met and greet promptly by a young man. He was nice and professional. He used many terms that I am unfamiliar with repeatedly. I asked him to be aware that I was unfamiliar with his terminology. I requested to look at used cars, but was not shown any. I was shown only new models. He continued to ask me to go inside and fill out paperwork or look up things on the computer. I continued to refuse and state that I want to see the cars since reading dimensions on a computer screen doesn't help me. He finally agree to show me a car but insisted that I wait for him to bring it around. Basically I was not allowed to walk the grounds. He kept me right at the main building. He couldn't answer many of my questions. If he did, it seems as if he was repeating what he learned from a presentation and not from true knowledge or experience. RUN!!!!!!!!!!!! Not even a week and the car they sold me needs a transmission!!!!! I want my money back and management is saying that I can't get a refund of my down payment. I trusted these guys to be above board and to sell quality vehicles. As it turns out they're setup to take advantage by scamming customers out of their hard earned money; while entering customers into a expensive contract to pay off a LEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to share this information from Tameron Honda Eastern Shore I'm not one for reviewing anything for bad experiences as sometimes there's just bad days..However let me share my experience with this terrible dealership. Don't worry if you don't see it here I'll be reviewing them on every platform I can and contacting BBB. Ok so here we go May 6th I bought a 2014 Lexus IS250 from Tameron Honda and the car was being left there so it could have a ozone treatment done (the car stunk) and brakes replaced per agreement, they said it's be 2-3 days and it's be ready. 4 days go by I messaged the salesman that I bought the car from and he replied back with they are going to replace the front right and left struts and battery...(mind you this is without them calling me and saying anything about it) Now I'm confused but said ok let me know when it'll be done so I can come get it.... a week goes by... sent another txt seeing where we were at and he says not done yet waiting on parts from Lexus, ok ok so I drove down there to see where the car was.... cars not to be seen anywhere on the lot in the service area, ok so it must be in the shop being worked on good deal. 2 weeks go bye ..... 3 weeks go by and I call the service department and ask to see how far along my car is... surprise they don't know about it...ok so he says he'll call me back... 1hour later I get a call from the sales manager saying that my car had been stolen....excuse me... and y'all didn't think hey we should call the owner and let them know ASAP... instead y'all were trying to recover the stolen car and still sell it to me by buying time saying you were working on extra shit..???? He says is there anything else you were interested in?... well ya.... the car I had purchased I don't know what's on your lot as I bough a vehicle so I hadn't been looking and it's been 3weeks! He said come on in and they'll make a sweet deal to make it right.So I drove up to the dealership Saturday and looked , well they had two vehicles I was interested both were 4-8k over what I payed for myn I said I'd take either one of them ... they came back with they couldn't do that as the price difference... me at this point - now have a loan for a car I don't have almost a month after I purchased it and y'all didn't offer a loaner vehicle or anythinggggggg. Okkkk well I need my downpyment back and loan canceled. Being Saturday they could cut the check they said... ok ok fine I'll come back during the week. So I had to go back on another field job out of town so I didn't make it back in till that next Friday... meanwhile on the field job I'm just burning up about the whole situation and how it was handled and I asked for the police report, which they couldn't supply me with so I txt them and asked to get a copy of police report or I was going to report it stolen... surprise the next day they reported it stolen... this is 5 days after they told me it was stolen so finally I get back to get my down payment back and they walk out with a piece of paper saying they were gonna cut the check tomorrow ... good lord... no y'all can go cut the check Right now! Finally I got my down payment back and currently right now I STILLLLLLLL have the loan it's not been cancelled yet. Now there is some things I left out to make this a little shorter like the salesman that I got the car from ignored me they ended up giving me a different salesman etc etc ... I have zero desire to ever mess with this dealership ever again or anyone in it and I will be reviewing them on every platform and turning into BBB as stated above as the way the whole situation was handled was extremely poor I was overly patient this entire time. One of the worst service experiences I have ever had. I had a test drive appointment scheduled days in advance and was even contacted the morning of by one of the sales reps to confirm the vehicle would be ready. When I arrived at the dealership (which was an hour commute), the car was on a lift with the wheels off having the brakes replaced; I didn't get in the car until 2 hours after scheduled. Beyond that, I had to correct their paperwork three times before it was accurate (pricing, car mileage, taxes). I requested to see how they came up with the numbers for my extremely low trade-in value and our representative brushed over it - I never saw the numbers. The only redeeming factor about this experience was the fact that they offered to buy my lunch while I was waiting for the car to be fixed - only if I purchased the vehicle. I think I got swindled. I bought a brand new 2021 Ridgeline a Tameron honda, in addition to the main factory sticker there was an additional window sticker that included Dealer Added Equipment and Services, among the items were Paint protection and fabric protection for the low price of $995.00 My understanding of this is that these items and services are done at the dealership after it is delivered to them from the factory. My concern is when I test drove the vehicle and did the walk around, kicking the tires so to speak I noticed that the back bumper and back tailgate were plastered in dead love bugs, there were at least 100 or more smashed bugs on the back of the vehicle like it been driven in reverse for a couple of hundred miles, not likely. More likely is the vehicle was backed onto the top rack of the car hauler and picked up the bugs going down the interstate being delivered to Tameron Honda which begs the question when did they put on the Paint protection. the answer, I don't believe they did, after we crunched the numbers they did wash it and topped up the gas but there wan no time add paint protection that according to their sicker had already been applied. its really over the top to charge people a grand for turtle wax and scotch guard but then not to apply it. I recently took my Honda into Tameron to have it inspected for a defective Takata airbag canister that has been recalled. This recall has been issued because the canisters are exploding, sometimes without impact, and shooting large metal shards into driver occupant space. The explosions have resulted in severe injury and death. Car owners in warm climates, like Alabama, are at a heightened risk for explosion. The day of my inspection a customer representative called and left me a voice message. It said that I had a recalled airbag and that I would be provided a rental car. I called the rep back and she assured me that they would have a rental ready that afternoon and that Honda was absorbing all rental costs and that it was Honda's policy not to allow customers with defective airbags to leave their service department due to the risk. That afternoon I went to pick up my rental car from Tameron. At this time, I was told that Honda would only pay for 1 day of rental and "typically that's how long it takes to repair the airbag." I was also told that my airbag is on back order and that they didn't know how long it would take to repair. So, I was given 3 options: I could take my car home and bring it back when the part came in, I could leave my car there, or I could accept a rental for an undetermined length and Honda would pay for 1 day of my rental costs. Mind you, this is after I was assured earlier in the day by the same Honda rep that I would have a rental and that Honda was absorbing all costs. I told the rep. I didn't feel safe leaving in a car with a confirmed bad airbag to which she responded: "You've been driving it around for years." I told her it didn't matter how long I had been driving it around because now Honda has inspected my airbag and knows that it *could* explode on my way home and KILL ME-- it could explode at anytime without warning. She basically shrugged and said that I was right but that her manager had made the decision to refuse to pay for rentals longer than one day. So, I left my car at Tameron and the next day I called her manager. The manager blamed the policy on Honda's corporate office. He gave me an 800 number to call and complain. This 800 number is a number especially set up for customers calling about the recalled airbag canisters. Well, I called yesterday and was told a case manager would call me within 48 hours. Haven't received that call yet, doubt if I ever will. Also haven't heard back from Tameron about when they expect my back-ordered airbag to come in despite leaving detailed voice messages to call me back. This type of behavior/policy is completely unacceptable. Tameron could lend me a courtesy car, or since they are an independent Honda dealership, could choose to pay for the rental themselves. They have a Hertz Rental Car office inside their building!!! Hertz rents to Honda for cents on the dollar. I am not in a financial position to accept a rental for an "indeterminable" length and don't think that I should be asked to drive away in what could be a ticking-time bomb. I bought this car from Tameron and they should do the right thing and pay to fix their wrong but apparently dollars are more important than human life. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. We had an appointment to drive a new Denali Truck at 11:00 on a Sat. We got there and the salesperson we were corresponding with (Derrick) didn't ever greet us or speak to us. Another sales person (Matthew) went with us on a test drive and then drove our trade in truck. We were told several times that the manager was working on our trade in value. There was one other couple in the dealership. No one told us they were looking at the same truck and drove it before we did. After we sat there for about 30 min. Matthew finally came over and said the other couple bought the truck. So they used us for leverage for the negotiation for the other couple to get their price. Having evacuated Florida ahead of hurricane Irma and traveled to Biloxi, MS to see our grandkids, on our way back, the car was slow to start. We stopped in to Tameron Honda and discovered our battery had gone bad. The assistant manager, Marc Dapremont and the service advisor, Eddie Petro, were both so friendly and helpful. They got us in, diagnosed and replaced the battery (under warranty) in less than an hour. These guys know what they're doing and they really care about their customers. Went in to get an appraisal on selling my brand new Toyota which was only a week old with less than 500 miles since I had found an EV I wanted to buy. I did get an offer which was ridiculous over 5 Thousand less than Kelly Blue Book. When they say they will buy your car it really means they will try to steal your car. The gentleman presenting me the offer gave me a quote on the actual dealer new price of my car and after I looked at the window sticker he was almost 2 thousand dollars off. They had a Toyota on the showroom floor that was a year older and cheaper model and he offered me thousands less for my brand new car. I would not trust this guy for one minute and never would consider buying a new car or selling anything to them. They want to STEAL it. Everybody else is paying top dollar for clean used cars even 4 thousand over book value. Stay away from these crooks. I was offered more than 7 thousand dollars than he offered me. Tameron sold me a car I was not approved for after they lied and said I was. They commited fraud by lying to finance companies about my income. When the car was delivered to me at work the sales person asked me to clock out and give him a ride back to the dealership. They are unprofessional, liars, and will try to milk as much money out of you as they can. I ended up forfeiting the car after twenty days and luckily I got a full refund, but they were very pushy for me to sign a horrible second contract. Buyer beware. read more

Hey I was just thanking you again for setting that appointment and let you know it's all good my friend I've still got my main bank here and they're the ones spirit(?) that I need to put you through. Just wanna let you know it's all good. They're leaving after tomorrow and we get them once or twice a year. And these are the ones that hook us up good without all of those fees and hook us up on that down payment so I'll see you tomorrow it was just a courtesy call just making sure you had good directions and all. Thank you." This is the voicemail I received after filling out an application at a bankruptcy auto finance page. After calling and speaking with (name retracted) they assured me I would be able to trade in my car (even with negative equity) and purchase the car of my choice as long as it fit within the set parameters. So after working a 12 hour shift at my job, I get home, slept for a few hours, woke up and drive the 130 miles to the dealership for my noon appointment. I arrived on time only to wait 45 minutes before being helped. The salesman took all of my information and required paperwork and "went to work in it" promptly. An hour passed and they appeared again to ask if I had a cosigner, after taking my cosigner's info they disappeared for another hour just to say they will contact me Monday. What has ticked me off about this whole ordeal is that I was lead to believe this was going to be a simple process only to get the run around. If this bank is leaving today (Saturday), why will it take until Monday until I hear back? That is a horrible and dishonest business practice. If anyone from Tameron Honda reads this please understand that I'm not irritated about possibly not getting the vehicle I want, I'm irritated that I spent my day off after a week of working 12 hour shifts in a dealership only to be told they will contact me Monday. Totally not impressed with the service department and customer response. I am a long standing customer from other different states. I'm new at this location. In the past 9 days after having my car serviced here I had 2 concerns and both times speaking to 2 different servicemen and they don't listen to the customer's situation nor do they apply the info to satisfy the customer so that they remain a returning customer. After purchasing 4 new Hondas and 1 used Honda between me and my daughters over the past 10 years I have proved to be a local customer. I have always been taken care of in the past by my Athens, GA and Pensacola, FL dealerships and not impressed with Daphne, AL location and will not be a returning customer at this location when I need a new car because of the little issues with the service department. I feel when you purchase a Honda, no matter where, Honda dealerships in general should take care of their customers to keep them returning. I do not feel a connection with the service people at this dealership nor have they helped make my transition to a different state a good experience. However, I will say when I spoke in person to a sales person about my encounters with the service department he took the time to listen and took my info for the manger. I feel this dealership is more about selling vehicles than servicing them. read more

I applied for a used car loan thru the main car website of theirs. The next day I was contacted by a sales person by the name of Kassi. Here is the message she left on my voicemail. "Hey Daniel, it's Cathy with Tameron Honda. I was calling to touch base with you about your car loan application you submitted in it is still active and pending and my finance manager has already reviewed your application and everything is still good to go on this end, and we have a lender that's working with us with a zero down program. However, they are going to be changing that up soon. So we do need to get you to come in as soon as possible. If you get the chance, please just give me a call back so that we can get you locked into this program. My phone number is 251-706-1969. And again, my name is Cassie with Tameron Honda." And the a voicemail from LeBaron "Hey Daniel, this is LeBaron over at Tameron Honda calling you about your car loan application that you submitted in and we are delivery Center for these applications. We also have one of the largest special fire departments in this area, and we strictly work with people with all types of credit. And right now we have access to a special program through a lender that we're currently signed on with and they were loading programs such as zero down and also where they can push your first payment side up to 60 days. If you would give me a call back as soon as possible, 251-706-1930. Thanks." So I call Kassi and explain my situation which is that my credit is not good, I dont have a trade and no down payment. I am ts that this wasn't a problem and that I had been pre-approved and to come in and get my car. Unfortunately I couldn't go immediately. However 2 days later I finally got someone to take me almost 70 miles one way to get this car. And yes, of course I called and spoke with Kassi one more time before embarking on my journey. She still insisted everything was good to go and all, which she was on speaker phone and multiple people heard her exact words. And that all I needed to do was to arrive before 630 that evening and bring my drivers liscense, my bank statement, a utility or phone bill, and a pay stub. Check, check and check I was ready to go. I get there and wait abou 15 minutes before I am seen. Then was called back. The salesperson assisting me was not Kassi it was a professional gentleman by the name of Brandon. He verified the documents and went to the sales managers office. I waited about another 20 minutes. When Brandon returned he had some not so great news for me. I would either need a down payment if like $1,500 or someone to cosign the loan with me. Which i had neither of which I had told Kassi more than once.. Now you can only imagine my frustration. I applied online for a loan which was thru Tamerons website, I was contacted multiple times and was repeatedly told told that all I had 2 do was come in all by Tamerons people. My loan was pre-approved i didnt need a down payment, no cosigner and I would have no payments for 2 months. Now after driving all that way, I am going home without a car. The salee's s manager however did put $20 in gas in my best friends car but what about the deceit, the FALSE ADVERTISING, and all the humiliation I went thru. This is unacceptable from any place of business. And I feel like I really need to contact a lawyer concerning this matter. Plus not to mention if it happened to me how many other people has it occured to and they did nothi g about it!!?? Through text messages I negotiated a price for a specific 2019 Pilot by stock number and when I drove two hours the salesperson advised that they could not honor that price since it was an "aggressive price" to get us in the door. This place is a complete scam they sold me the car service plan for my 2015 Lexus. Well when it came time to change my oil I was told the plan they sold me doesn't cover the oil change for my car because it takes synthetic oil . The dealer ship admitted it was there mistake and they would upgrade my contract and I would be getting my new contract in the mail well after numerous phone calls I have still yet to receive my new service plan. I have had my oil changed a number of three times one time tameron changed it then I took it to Lexus of Mobile tameron covered the difference of price the plan they sold me only covers $30 and my oil change price in $90 .well I take it for my third oil change yesterday and the plan only coverd only $30 again after I spoke with calvain and Elliot on the phone and they told me it would cover the full amount and it didn't I had to come out my pocket $60.well I was told to come to tameron Honda today and they would just refund me well they are only refunding me $129 I paid $799 for the service plan and they have only $210 towards my oil changes so basically I've paid $799 for three oil changes. And believe me I have talked to these guys numerous times telling me they would take care of everything I think the whole amount should be refunded !! Scam, scam,scam!!!! Run away as fast as you can. My wife and I purchased a van from Tamaron and it was a horrible decision. There used department can help you find financing which is awesome. However, our van has broken down twice and we haven't even made it to the first payment yet. The first time it broke down they told us to take it to Hill Kelly Dodge because we live in Pensacola. Hill Kelly mechanic tells us that some of the work our vehicle needs is covered under warrant, but $577 worth of work won't be covered. At this point our car hasn't been in our possession for three full weeks. I spoke with our salesman Tim Williams and he puts someone else on the phone ( i forgot their name) and this person tells me "We never should have sent your car to that raggedy dealership, tell them to only do the work covered under the warranty and we'll have Rachel call you and set up a time to check the car out and see if it actually needs any of the non warranty work they claim". Hill Kelly has our vehicle for over a week working on it. Upon getting it back we still have not received a call from Rachel. We drove the van for 4 days and then it breaks down again. We managed to get a hold of Kelvin Moore who tells us he will have Rachael call us the following day. Three days later we still have not received the phone call from Rachael for either occasion. I leave Rachel a voicemail which she returns in the same day thankfully. However, Rachael tells us no one ever informed her of the situation and then refuses to have the car looked at by Tameron. She wants it taken to Hill Kelly dodge even though one of her employees referred to Hill Kelly as a "raggedy dealership" It's almost as if Tameron is attempting to just wash their hands of the vehicle. To make things worse we have had to resign our financing paperwork 2 additional times while all of this has been going on. They claim they keep getting us a better deal, but I've noticed that all their doing is dropping the price of the vehicle and attempting to finance it with the same company three times now. Also, we've received denial of credit letters form the finance company twice now. To me this seems like the financing fell through and they're just hoping if they keep lowering the price it will finally get approved. I really hope this isn't the situation because my wife and I have four kids and we got rid of our old van when we got this one. Therefore if the financing falls through (even though they said we were financed the first time) then not only will we be down to one vehicle but we'll also not have a vehicle that can move our whole family at one time. read more

Loyalty to long standing customers means nothing to this dealership. When unable to deliver the vehicle of choice by the date stated, this business refused to return our deposit. The manager, Jack Smith, attempted to intimidate us by using words such as "nightmare". Phone calls and emails are not being returned. And they claim to be veteran friendly. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Tameron (used cars) uses "phantom" cars via the internet to get you to the lot. They'll even send the carfax report. I was told the car was "at the door" and "ready for viewing." I drove from Pensacola ($50 in gas) to see the vehicle however, when I arrived, the "sales person" I spoke with on the phone was MIA. Another person greeted me with the wrong car. The "salesperson" remained missing along with the car! Bait and switch is thriving at this location. Management defended the lie and tried to lure me on to more expensive purchases.
