Despite being on the smaller side, this nail salon makes sure everyone is getting quality service. I made an appointment for 12pm and arrived a little early but it wasn't a problem- they let me sit in the massage chairs until they were ready. I got a gel mani & pedi from Anna and she did an amazing job and worked very quickly. Trish did my mom's nails and they turned out perfect as well!

I had the best experience here!!! They were so kind and took me in with no appointment. Yen and Lynn did such a wonderful job my mani/pedi with gel polish and flowers! I felt like I was leaving my friends when it was time to go, everybody said goodbye and wished me a good trip. Tami and John are a wonderful couple. Kind, professional, and charismatic! They make you feel very welcomed. My husband and I went in for two pedicures on a Sunday. The shop is clean and there is great ventilation so no chemical smells. The service is surprisingly very affordable. If you are unsure where to go, please consider Tami-A nails!

Everyone was so friendly, I needed to charge my phone and they provided me with one!! So sweet. I got the pedi and gel manicure, coming out to about 80 smt smt$. Surprisingly, once I got into the chair for my pedicure, Yen did a very good job on my pedicure. This was a busy salon, and i had to wait 15 minutes, Yen took good care of me.

BEST NAILS IN HONOLULU! Arriving Hot off a plane from California, not having my nails done was a big-time stressor. After checking a few different places and laughing at the ridiculous prices, I happen to stop into Tami-A Nails. Right away, Yen greeted me with a huge smile and actually listen to what I wanted done. There was no pressure and no upsell. She and Tammy worked on my nails and my toes and even suggested that I do the dip. Again, no pressure and no up sale. Their work was phenomenal, they were extremely sweet, they made sure that my chair was comfortable with pillows and a towel, and I got a deluxe hand and foot massage and the price was phenomenal. I will be sharing this information with all my friends and I look forward to coming back a few more times this year and going straight in to see them. They have a customer for life. Thank you, Tammy and thank you Yen! I love my nails, and I can't wait to come back and try a different color in style. If you are in the Honolulu area, don't waste your time going anywhere else, as a tourist popping in, the price was amazing. They got me right in, they listen to what I wanted and they told me exactly what the price would be with no tricks, added tax or added expenses. They did not nickel and dime me, and I definitely appreciated that and their quality of work.

Very happy with my nails. 1 hour 15 minutes to take my old hard gel nails off and put on new acrylic with extensions. I was able to stop in and get n appointment for an hour and a half later. read more

UPDATE: my nails started to chip about two days after getting this manicure so I take back what I said LOL I'll just stick with doing it myself going forward Stopped in for a gel manicure and pedi. Jessica did my nails and I love them! She took her time and made sure I liked the color and thickness. Not the nicest or cleanest salon but definitely reasonably priced and great service. Only thing is that I saw other reviews about their credit card machine not working or only accepting cash, and we had the same problem today. They decided to tell people once they were done with their nails which caused an issue for most people having to go to an ATM to take cash out and pay a fee. So if you decide to check out this salon BRING CASH. read more

Love Lena and Tami! Lena was actually the one who did my pedicure and gel manicure, while Tami worked on my boyfriend's mani/pedi. They were awesome!! We're tourists and decided to do a walk-in to shoot our shot in getting in. To my surprise, they took us both in immediately. Tami also accommodated us by organizing a way to let us sit together during our pedis. Lena was awesome, super sweet!! Tami was great! Gives great tourist recommendations, even personally showed my boyfriend where to get the best smoothie (next door) ever! The only thing is, when we googled the address, it some how brought us to a different direction, but it's literally right next to ALO Cafe Hawaii. 10/10 recommend!! read more

My nail tech was very thorough on my mani and pedi! 5 stars for my nail tech! She did great! Get the deluxe pedi, it's only $10 more for paraffin wax, scrub and massage. The place is very small and only street parking but that's given cause it's in Waikiki. They tell you the price upfront and they prefer cash. I paid about $90 for gel mani (gradient with flower art on real nails) and deluxe pedi plus tip. read more

Tried to Spa pedicure and foot care.Amazing quality and great service. Booked for morning time 2 days before but you don't have to book if you wanna try before noon,I think.Seems to slow at that time.Couldn't see another customer. Definitely visit again! read more

First time here and Holly gave me a gorgeous manicure with regular polish I brought in (I am not into gel and always bring my own color). She took her time and I love the square shape I requested and her clean-up of my dried cuticles and dry skin. Hope I can get here again sometime. I had visited this salon about a month ago in search of a new nail tech to go to. Originally, I had Gel-X nails and wanted a removal plus a new acrylic set afterwards. To remove my nails, they grabbed a pair of old children's scissors and began to cut off my nails. I don't often speak up for myself but I was visibly worried. After he cut off the length, he then used a drill to remove the remaining gel and plastic. He also grabbed a plastic scraper edge and peeled off the rest of the Gel-X nail, almost removing majority of my actual nails. He ripped off and broke a few of my nails which was very painful, despite me trying to speak to him about it. My fingers were sore and red, just underneath and on the sides of my nail beds. I feared that I had an infection, but thankfully that was not the case. As he began shaping my nails, he left open the pot of dipping powder and it was incredibly strong. I believe it was the same with the acetone, but it was a burning feeling. I couldn't help but turn my head and hold my breath. Also, I didn't realize until the end that there was a very noticeable dip downwards towards the end of my fingertips. The shape was wonky and looked like poorly shaped talons, which wasn't really an almond shape. They also came out incredibly wide and flat in the center of my nail beds. When it came to choosing my color and style, I decided to choose a black and silver cat eye design instead of just plain black. However, my nail tech had switched over to one of the women. I don't believe she understood how to do the cat eye effect because another nail tech came by to teach her and give tips on how to do it. Despite the attempt, the black came out looking grey since there weren't enough coats applied. I couldn't see it until after I had left. Overall, this was a jarring experience and the place was also dirty, messy, and unorganized. I'm a local and I suggest going elsewhere if you want to have decent nails. Polish and such, sure, but do not expect anything more than that. read more

I am staying nearby and came here after the beach not knowing THE Tami did my gel pedicure! Everyone was so sweet and the vibe is very homey and the pedicure itself came out amazing! For the price, I definitely recommend coming here as the pedicure came out nice and it was only $52! I love supporting local business and I would definitely come back and make this my staple when visiting! read more

This is a great little shop to get your nails done in Waikiki. Everyone here is super friendly and does great work on your nails. While it is a bit of a whole in the wall type place, I got great results. Don't be put off by its older interior, instead know that the nail techs do good work and you can get really lovely custom artwork on your nails. I enjoyed my time here. If I was the owner I would work on updating the store. It needs some paint and modern fixtures. People would feel like they were really getting their money's worth if it felt a bit more upscale on the interior. read more

No joke, best manicure of my life. I regularly get my nails done, but the attention to detail and skill was unmatched. The nail tech removed so much skin and cuticle that really made my nails look so much longer! My nails have never looked better, and I almost didn't want the nail polish to cover them up! I went with a light natural color and already received compliments on it. You'll definitely want an appointment and BRING CASH so you don't have to use the ATM down the street. Another note is this place is not handicap friendly. There is a step up to the salon and no ramp access. read more

While on vacation, we stayed at the Hilton Wakiki Beach. This location is about a 5-minute walk down the street. This is a small salon they only have about 4 pedicure and manicure stations. The service I wanted was a fill-in with powder ombre. They dont do powder ombre. They do polish with color, so i got it on my toes. Also, ask about the pedicure because i just assumed services were included. My pedicure was $55 (basic foot wash cuticle cut, file, foot scrub, and lotion) that was a basic pedi with gel polish. My fill-in was $45. They also take cards but prefer cash, so bring cash. Overall, I am pleased with my service, and I will return to this location again. read more

The manicure was terrible, the pedicure was fine. They run a scam of pretending your credit card doesn't work so that you give them cash. checked my credit card at a store next door and it worked just fine. Consider any other local options over this place. read more

I went to this nail salon back in November and forgot to leave a review. They did an amazing job on my acrylic nails and pedicure in November. I was here for my sisters wedding and my nails looked great! I went back to this salon today as I am in town for another wedding and again they were super helpful! I got my nails done at home before coming to Hawaii and the nail tech there messed up a nail that needed to be removed. The ladies at Tami nails were so kind and helped remove the acrylic nail free of charge! Definitely go here for a great nail experience! 10/10! read more

What an awesome little spot in Waikiki! My wedding was on a Saturday and I checked in at my hotel on Thursday. I wanted to make sure my nails still looked fresh so I didn't want to get them done before I got to Waikiki. This meant I couldn't go to my regular nail salon (I live in Waipahu and I was not planning on driving back and forth). My bestie found this place and I couldn't be happier with how both of our nails came out! I forgot to take a picture of how they looked on the day of but I think they still look pretty great almost a week later! I wish I got her name but the lady who did my nails took her time to make sure I had the best manicure for my wedding! In fact, all the staff there are so nice and seem to really take their time with their customers! If I'm ever staying in Waikiki again and need my nails done, I'll definitely give them a call! Oh yeah, and you should always try to call ahead and make an appointment because they are always busy and they had to tell several customers to come back at a later time. read more

Lynn did my amazing pedicure with gel polish and wax treatment and massage and it was heavenly!!!!!! I loved it and feel amazing!! Tamia is so amazing! She was able to accept my walk in and give me an acrylic manicure for my wedding. She was able to get me what I wanted for my first time doing acrylic. She was very nice to all the customers and had to turn some people away because of how busy they were. I recommend calling ahead to see how busy they are. I was obsessed with my nails for my wedding. This little gem is a must! I'm visiting from Ohio and I was too busy to get a pedicure before I left so I was on the hunt! Their customer service is great and the quality of the work is amazing! I'm a French Tip girl and I love it with gel. I asked and they gave me exactly what I was looking for. My feet felt great when I left, too. Yesterday's pedicure was such a surprise success!! Walkable from tons of hotels in Waikiki, this is a low-key nail salon with pretty incredible prices considering the area. Gel pedicure is $50, and for an extra $12, you get ALL the extras (mint scrub, paraffin wax, cooling leg gel rub, hot towels...) This is such a value! Y'all go and ask for Lily and get yourself hibiscus nail art!! I went in with no picture, but was envisioning a bronze coral color on my toes with white flowers. She completely exceeded my expectations. Lily's flowers are next level--hand-painted with hints of darker colors for dimension and incredible details. A true work of art for an extra FOUR dollars!! Highly recommend!! read more

My entire mission while in that chair was to not cry or flinch. When she was done, I felt comfortable concluding she had not one single day of training in massage therapy. My bill was $60. My wife's was $42 for gel plus $25 for two flowers. All in all, we left laughing (and limping), but $150 lighter than when we went in.

The showers also ran out of bath products (either shampoo or body wash), and the locker area was missing some amenities I'd expect at this price point, like makeup remover and skincare beyond generic body lotion. I also had trouble getting a receipt with my name on it initially, though they eventually sent one. One other thing to note: the spa is right above the hotel beach and pool area, so you can hear people rather than just ocean waves or spa music. Taking a leisurely stroll around Maunakea Marketplace (because I had free street parking on a Sunday) my friend and I paused in front of Instyle Hair & Nails because the place didn't look busy and I had some time. There were a couple of staff sitting outside, taking a break, so, I approached slowly and said, "Pedicure?" I was cheerfully greeted and shown to a massage chair. The nice gal, Deb, placed a new plastic liner in the basin and started the warm water. She asked if it was too hot and adjusted the temperature. She started to help me (telling me the difference in price between regular polish for $30 and gel polish which lasts longer for $45), but another customer asked for her, so she switched me off to someone else. It's okay because the new gal (didn't get her name) was very careful and thorough. She took her time and did a good job! I sat for a couple of hours because I haven't paid attention to my feet for months. Haha! (I'm kind of a last minute, busy person and will get moving if I can't stand it anymore.) Anyway, here are my observations: Greeting regular customers is a good sign! The four female workers were cheerful and kind to everyone, especially kupuna! The hair stylist asked (in a nice tone of voice) how a certain customer wanted her hair cut and told her that next time - don't cut your hair yourself because you can't see behind your head (she cut her hair to her scalp!). The hairstylist explained politely to the customer about her unique needs and showed her options on how to style her own hair! That's good service! Another example: A little girl came in with her mom. The staff treated them really well. The mom asked for gel polish for the daughter and the staff said they cannot do it because it might burn her daughter's young skin - plus, her fingers and nails are still growing, so, it's not a good idea to put strong chemicals on the area. Wow! That's being responsible and honest! I think I spent over two hours here because the technician paid attention to my dry cuticles, cracked nail, and other issues. She verified the color of gel polish two times before application. Thank you! I was just going to give four stars, but after hours of hard work, the worker still gave me a mini leg/foot massage and brief hot towel to wipe off excess lotion on my legs! She didn't use pumice stone on me (maybe I didn't need it), but she did repeat the acetone/cotton/foil treatment to the stubborn nails several times - instead of using the electric file technique. I appreciate the gentle approach and will most likely return on a future Sunday!

Oh my gosh! This place is amazing I wanna thank Trish for doing nails! They were very helpful and very kind people. Me and my mom could not find anywhere until we found tami a nails! I totally recommend this place if your in Waikiki! I was a bit nervous to go to a new nail salon but they make you feel at home! My nails are beautiful! read more
