I've been a patient here in the past, my experiences was generally good. Pricing was reasonable, and the previous office staff were professional and efficient. Recently, though, it's been frustrating. I called on Saturday regarding with urgency as I understood I wouldn't expect to go in or get a call back same day but was hoping to make an appointment asap for this week. However, it's now Monday during business hours, almost 1 PM, and after several attempts, I still only reach voicemail with no answer. I ended up having to make an appointment with a new optometrist. This disappointing compared to how the office was before. I hope for the optometrist's sake, it improves. There should be no reason during business hours multiple phone calls are not answered. read more

I've been a long-time patient of Dr. Vu and have always appreciated the care I've received. Carol and Linda were absolutely wonderful--professional, helpful, and understanding of my ongoing eye issues. Unfortunately, the new front office staff is the complete opposite. Their lack of customer service skills is beyond disappointing. Today I came in for help with my eyes, and instead of compassion or assistance, I was met with arguments and made to feel like my health was a money issue. On top of that, the staff threw away my contact lens trials that I came in to pick up. These could have easily been mailed to me, but instead they were discarded. When I spoke with Linda last week, she never mentioned that the trials were old or about to expire--I told her I'd be coming in this week, and yet the new staff still tossed them. Patients deserve staff who listen, understand, and care. Sadly, my experience today shows that's no longer a priority here. read more

We were recommended to this place by a family friend, and I'm so glad we gave it a try! They offer very affordable contact lenses and eyeglasses, with a great selection. The staff is friendly, helpful, and scheduling an appointment was quick and easy. Dr. Vu is extremely polite, professional, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. Pretty disappointed in the office staff. In the course of 3 days I have called 4 times. Texted once, which was initiated by my first missed call, and left a message on my last call and received no communication. Dr Vu is a great Dr as I have seen him in the past. He is super through, informative, and has a great sense of humor. My last visit took a month to get a single vision prescription set of glasses, but I figured it was just the timing. Dr. Vu is just the best! He takes sooooo much time for each exam. He explains things thoroughly , shows diagrams and models of eye if you still have questions. Hes very friendly- remembers things from previous visits . He's never in a rush. He listens to any and all concerns- wish he was my MD! He was referred to me by a friend who went with her 3 young kids and she loved him. I'm much older but she was right! Oh, and office staff is very kind and patient as well! People seem friendly, long wait time. Glasses came in, they had me try them on and everything was out of focus. Assistant tells me your eyes need to adjust. I covered one eye then the other and both were very blurry out of focus. She tells me you have to use both eyes. I explain when they test my eyes they check one at a time. Something was not right. She says it takes time. I know my eyes and it was not right. I had to push the issue, it was like she did not believe me. Finally the doctor tested the glasses and they ground the lens incorrect. When they came back the second time left eye was okay the right eye was out of focus. They told me they can only send them back once. So they grind the glasses wrong, there fault then tell me they can't send them back and second time only once. I had to pay for someone else's mistake. Does not matter how nice they are if they're not correct. Will never go back there again. Beware. read more

I hate to be the person to be the one star among all the 5 stars, but I have tried to pick up my sons glasses for a week now and I haven't been able to because everytime I go, it's closed. The hours posted are NOT the correct hours. I've tried calling and no one answers, the only time I'm able to communicate is when I text their system. I've texted ahead of time before going to make sure they are open and everytime they've been closed and today I texted and was told that they would be open until 4:30p but will be out for lunch from 1-2p , I showed up at 12:35p and the door was locked. I sent another msg and was told they're closed for lunch from 12-1:15p. I really liked coming here, Dr Vu is amazing and I've been coming here for years but the staff is crap read more

horrible service. long wait times. they way overbook their appointments so expect to wait an hour plus past your appointment time. sold my daughter eye glasses that didn't even last two weeks then refused to do the right thing. even with them under warranty. dr. is way to conservative on prescriptions you will be very disappointed with what you get. I've got better glasses at Dollar Tree. Also if you go here expect a ridiculous long wait for you glasses or contacts to arrive. Store-oh your glasses maker discontinued marking your glasses i will look for the same style and replace them for you, I'll call you tomorrow. I struggle driving i need them please store- we are still wating for the frame orders, they should be here next week Next week no call 2 weeks later no call yet Me-I'm done My husband-let me call. He calls Store-oh the girl in charge is busy let me put you on hold 20min later phone cuts off My husband walks in after 10 mins Girl was playing on her phone She says she doesnt know when the frame would be ready. I love coming here to Dr. Vu, he is so pleasant and listens to my concerns. I started coming here in 2015, but then stopped for a couple of years because I couldn't sync with his schedule (my hours of work). I started coming again this year with my kids and they love him as well. What a difference it is to come here from Lenscrafters. Dr. Vu is the best. I decided to try them out after reading the reviews here on Yelp. These reviews are spot on. I have seen many different optometrist throughout my life, both for myself and my two sons, and I can honestly say that I have never met a Dr. who spends the time with you like Dr. Vu does. My son had his appointment first. He has been wearing glasses since he was three years old and had strabismus surgery when he was four years old. Out of all the Optometrist and Ophthalmologist appointments he has had, it wasn't until we saw Dr. Vu that we both totally understood his vision problems. Dr. Vu spent the time to educate us and truly cares about his patients and their eye health. I am so glad that I decided to make that first appointment. This is our optometrist office from now on! Their selection of eye wear is good and they have good prices. They don't carry a lot of designer names but did have a selection of the designer brands you see at other offices. The staff doesn't try to up sale like other places do when you are ordering your glasses, I loved that! We have VSP insurance and for all three of us our out of pocket cost will be less than $300.00 for new glasses. Thank you Dr. Vu and Staff you guys are the best. read more

I started going to Wildomar Eye Care around 2007/2008, shortly after they had opened (within the first few months). I was new to Temecula at the time, and chose a doctor through my insurance at random. I chose Dr. Vu because he was the closest to me (excluding Walmarts and the like). SPOILER ALERT: Though I chose them originally due to proximity, I have stayed with them through the years - even at times when it meant driving 2 hours or more in each direction!!! Dr. Vu and Carol are simply THAT AWESOME. If you look at some of my other reviews, you'll see that I rarely lack for words - and yet, the experience at Wildomar Eye Care is difficult to describe, because it's so unlike any other Doctor's office (in a positive way). Dr. Vu is exceptionally knowledgeable. Though I've never asked him, I'd put money on the fact that he was at or near the top of his class in school. But what makes him truly special isn't just his knowledge, but the fact that he explains things to you step by step as you go through your exam, and expresses them in an easy to understand fashion. I've never before or after had a doctor spend so much time, or give so many insights into the process of their work - which I find both reassuring and fascinating. (It's worth noting that he's also a really nice and genuine person, whom I honestly enjoy talking with, and who seems to really enjoy talking with all of his patients.) But it's not just about the exam: the results are there, too. I am a difficult patient, as my eyes can be overly sensitive to strong prescriptions, and with other doctors I've almost always had to send my glasses back 2, 3 or more times before I received a pair through which I could both see and not get headaches. Yet in all my years of going to here, I don't recall ever having to send a single pair of glasses back. Carol, his office manager, is awesome too! She knows the ins and outs of everything in the front of the store, and there's never been a question she couldn't answer or a problem she couldn't help me with. And as with Dr. Vu, she's also just a really good person who is fun to talk to, enjoys talking with the customers, and makes them feel at home. Also worth noting, the store is very easily accessed (like a quarter mile off of the I15 freeway, with no traffic lights inbetween), in a newer and clean shopping center. The store itself is nice and always very clean, and they carry a very good variety of frames, ranging from inexpensive through designer, and offer very fair prices on all of them. Overall, my experiences at Wildomar Eye Care have simply been outstanding in every way for roughly a decade. When I go there, I know that I'll get a thorough and outstanding exam, be able to speak with people whose company I enjoy, and leave with glasses that actually work for me needs - and at no time do I feel like I'm being herded down an assembly line, or looked at as if I were money that suddenly sprouted legs and walked into the store! The bottom line is that there is no optometrist's office which I could recommend more highly - or even half AS highly - as I recommend Wildomar Eye Care! read more

My experience in one word..wonderful! My son needed his eyes checked so I called and a sweet lady was able to schedule him within 2 days! We arrived right at appointment time, waited maybe 30mins and was finished within maybe 10 mins. Please note my son is too young to perform the pretests. The doctor had a nice demeanor with my son. The doctor and office staff are AMAZING. The doctor knows his stuff better than any eye doctor I've ever been to. He talks you through every part of the exam, explaining things in a way that makes sense and he gets things right the first time. I had 3 pairs of glasses made here, and all three were comfortable from the first minute. That's a big deal because I have very sensitive eyes and every other pair of glasses I've ever had made gave me headaches and disorientation when I got them, and they usually had to be sent back two to four times (resulting in a lower powered prescription). Both the doctor and the staff remember their patients and go the extra mile to accommodate you as well. Bottom line: I cannot reccomend them enough. If you have a choice, go here and nowhere else! read more

Dr Vu is truly amazing! I was referred to him by a family member, and now I drive 1.5 hours for me and my kids to see him. I have never had an ophthalmologist explain so much about his assessment and recommendations. He has given me so much insight on me and my family's overall eye care. Best doctor ever!!! I refuse to go anywhere else but here. The first time I came in here, I was greeted by super nice ladies from the front desk. After filling out all my forms, I sat and waited. Dr. Vu came out and greeted me after only waiting for about 10 minutes. He took his time to tell me each step he's doing while he examine my eyes. He holds a great conversation also.
