    chicken malai kabab

Had lunch here while visiting Savannah. The place has a nice, calming ambiance. Service was good as well. The food was truely amazing! I am from Dallas where there are multiple Indian restaueants in each block in several neighborhoods but the food here was far superior. The malai chicken kakab was tender, moist and perfectly spiced. Paneer methi chaman was creamy and delicious. The breads we ordered, missi roti and onion kulcha were well made. Over all, a great experience. Absolutely do visit if you are in the area and want to enjoy some delicious Indian food.

Visited this place on Nov 17th, 2025 for lunch. We ordered their veg combo starter which had 2 samosa which was good. It had chilli paneer which was good and the paneer was so soft and well cooked and finally it had Onion pakoras which was crispy and well done. We also had Stuffed Kulcha which was stuffed with cheese and potato in it was absolutely delicious. Sad part is being an Indian restaurant they didn't have chai on the menu. Just a suggestion it would be nice if you'll add chai to the menu I'm sure you'll have a lot of fans for that. Service was nice and the Atmosphere and the ambiance of the restaurant was ok. Overall it's a nice place to visit !!!!

Service was amazing. We were greeted and seated immediately. There was a strong smell of cleaning products and I believe it was the solution used to wipe down the tables. On the bright side it showed that they are maintaining cleanliness but it was overpowering at first. The food was decent not the best Indian food I've had but also not worst. I'd give the mango lassi a 7/10 the butter chicken a 7/10 the garlic naan an 8/10 and the chicken lollipop a 6/10.

Naan on Broughton is the only place for Indian cuisine in the historic district of Savannah. The interiors are modern and inviting, and service is quick and friendly. To start off, I ordered the onion pakoras and a mango lassi. The onion pakoras (3/5) were ok, but very light on the spice flavor. They weren't overly greasy or salted, but lacked the flavor profile of a good onion pakora. The mango lassi (3/5) hit all the right mango flavor notes and wasn't too sweet, but was otherwise average. We ordered the butter chicken and naan, and were provided with complimentary rice. The butter chicken (3.5/5) was decent, but the milder and sweeter gravy was only made a tad bit spicier by black pepper when we requested a "medium" level of spice. Naan (4/5) was light, fluffy, and delicious just the way I like it. Overall, grading on a southern state scale, I'd rate Naan on Broughton a 3.5/5, as it does a decent job of filling you up if you're in the mood for Indian cuisine. Since Yelp doesn't allow half stars and prices were incredibly reasonable, I don't mind rounding up my overall rating. Naan on Broughton is a decent option if you're looking for Indian cuisine to mix things up up from the traditional southern food offerings of Savannah.

I loved this restaurant! We came an hour before close so we pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves which was really nice since we were able to talk to the staff and really get to know each item and learn more about everything. I had the Chicken Sukka which had the spice icon beside it but it had the perfect blend of spice and flavor it was delicious!

My husband and I came here as a walk in after a coworker suggested it. We shared the lamb biryani and lamb Rogan Josh with a side of garlics naan. The food came out fast and hot. It was amazing! Particularly the naan, definitely the best we have ever had. We will be back!

Amazing food , excellent service . It is small place very nice with a good ambiance. Very recommended, the restaurant had a view to Marshall hotel

Ordered via Uber Eats, the portions were huge and the food was deliciously authentic. Note: Most Indian food is spicy, so if you don't like hot food, make sure to mention it or notate it on your Uber Eats order.

It's been four months since I came to NaaN, and I'm still dreaming about their butter paneer and mango Lassi. This was on my bookmarks for my savannah trip and my sister kept delaying our visit because she wanted patio dining for meals, but I knew I had to stop here based on the reviews, so finally the night before we left, we got to enjoy NaaN. We ordered the sampler of the naans, and all were fabulous. There was a clear favorite, though: the peshwari naan with raisins, pistachios, and dessicated coconut. We also ordered the vegetarian sampler with samosa, chili paneer, and onion pakora, and wow! Talk about flavor bombs! The chili paneer was fiery deliciousness. I've already told you that I still dream about the butter paneer. It was warm, comforting, and packed with flavor. The rice was fluffy and perfectly cooked. There was absolutely nothing I could nitpick about it. It was perfection. Maybe by now you're wondering why I chose 4 stars instead of 5. Clearly, the food was a 5. No missteps, and everything was gobbled up. We were blissfully entering food comas when it was time to change my daughter's diaper. We went to their bathroom, and that is why I took off a star. It was dirty and even had a cockroach. I had seen staff enter, so I have no idea why the bathroom wasn't cleaned up a bit while patrons were there. I felt disappointed that a place with 5 star food had such a dirty bathroom. I hope they can fix that issue quickly! I must tell you that despite the bathroom situation, I would still come here again. I would just choose to go elsewhere if I needed to use the restroom. To remind you again of the best part of NaaN: the food was phenomenal. We were blissful. It was such an enjoyable meal with flavor explosions! The mango lassi was creamy and delicious. To this date, I can not recreate it. They must have the hookup for the best mangos. Come here to eat, order out, and maybe skip the bathrooms ;)

Enjoyed everything we ordered - all of the food had a great amount of flavor and spice. Lots of vegetarian options. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean.

And the only reason this isn't a four was primarily tied to Service. But more on that later. First, I want to start with the review on the food, which technically was a solid four if not, a 4 1/2. This is very authentic. Indian food served in a very modest dining room setting in family style plating. Prices are fairly reasonable, but as with other restaurants in this area, you are paying a bit of a premium because of the overall area itself. That being said, this is a very accessible menu, which primarily pushes the Non Indian customers towards the more popular, Indian entrees, where they feature a mix and match protein style. We had dinner there with another couple that was in town visiting and they also were Indian food fans, and coincidentally, familiar with the restaurant themselves. We all ordered traditional entrees, along with a couple of drinks. For one of our diners, they ran out of Coors light when he tried to order a second so he switched to a Coke afterwards. Now on to the service. My main complaint here may have just been tied to our specific server, but there just seemed to be a bit of condescending energy with the way in which he approached taking the order. Even though we are very familiar with Indian food, we had not seen this Asian-Indian sub menu before and started asking questions about some of the items on the menu. There was a fried rice dish and a fried noodle dish that were approximately $15-$16 in price which made us think they were entrees. When we asked the server about the entrees, he condescendingly corrected us by telling us they were appetizers and instead of pointing out other things on that part of the menu that we might've been interested in as a entree, he pushed us back to the traditional Indian standards almost as if to say, don't venture off of the beaten path and stick to something that likely won't disappoint you. I'm never a big fan of servers shepherding Non members of the culture to the basic and most popular entrees. When I go to an Indian restaurant, I don't always want somebody to recommend tandoori chicken and Nan bread when there are so many other diverse dishes on the menu. We also found the same server to be a bit slow when it came to clearing the table and coming back to check on everybody after entrées had been delivered. From looking around in the restaurant, it appeared to me that this was a popular choice with Indian families in the area, and I am pretty sure that was primarily tied to the quality of the food and the authenticity. However, I would definitely not recommend this as a date spot and would recommend heading over to Naan Appetit instead if that's the Vibe you're looking for. Overall, not a bad choice. depending on what you're looking for. But as good as this is, still not the best choice for Indian food in the area.

There are a…read morecouple of notable things about Naan Appetit that I feel I must share because there is a similarly highly rated Indian restaurant within a stones throw away from Naan that it that also deserves comparison. I will review that restaurant under separate cover, but just know that when comparing this one to Persis, I would rate Naan Appetit as the better restaurant. But ultimately they are two different experiences within the Indian food category and for that reason are very hard to compare (more on that in the Persis review). But now let's talk about Naan Appetit. So what I really like about this restaurant is the value for the ambience and atmosphere. This is a very nicely appointed restaurant that I actually thought was a furniture store before we realized it was an actual restaurant. Very well appointed well designed and upscale in look, feel and function. Service is very strong with multiple servers and front of house greeting you immediately upon entry. We were seated within 3 to 5 minutes of walking in, and this was on a Friday night with a fairly full house. Once we were seated, our server immediately came over, provided us with menus and gave us a bit of information about the restaurant. We then proceed to ask a couple of questions about level of spice, and were really pleased with the servers descriptions of the various items on the menu and which ones we may or may not want to avoid depending on our spice level preference. I really appreciated the way the menu was set up which allowed for fairly easy decision making when it came to what we wanted to order. We went with mostly traditional entrees, ordering the lamb vindaloo, and the korma. Both were authentic and very well seasoned and spiced. We also ordered a couple of the garlic butter Naan bread, which were also really good. And lastly, we tried out the tandoori wings, which I had read on previous Yelp reviews were a highlight of the restaurant. When we first asked the server about them, he seemed a bit reluctant to recommend them because of the time it would take for them to be delivered to our table, which was approximately 30 minutes. We told him we weren't in a rush and didn't have anywhere else to be so we were totally fine with ordering them. It turns out that they ended up coming to the table before our appetizers even made it. So a bit of an overblown concern there. Outside of that little wrinkle, our overall experience was really pleasurable, especially given the sub $100 price point we paid including tip. This is definitely one of the restaurants we will be going to during our stay here in Savannah. And if I had to give the best advice on the difference between this restaurant and the other, I would say pick this for date night and pick the other one for family night.

I paired my last piece with some of the kulcha and just wow. The kulcha had a nice garlic flavor and you can't go wrong with melted cheese. Lamb vindaloo was delicious, not as spicy as I was hoping for but it was a good spice level for the others who have a more mild palette. I'm usually not a fan of butter chicken either but this was very tasty. Another fan favorite was the Jhinga Mast Mast. Large crispy shrimp with a nice little fresh slaw on the side.
